"Come on, America! I promise i won't do what i did last time!" Canada whined. He had invited America to grab some coffee at the local Starbucks, so they could discuss what Canada wanted from America.
"Yeah right-" America rolled his eyes, a soft giggle leaving his mouth. The American was 22, and he already had quite the reputation for being a rather sarcastic, but an extremely lighthearted person.
"Last time i let you stay at the cabin, you got so high that you somehow got stuck in the bathtub." The American teased, taking a sip from his coffee. Canada was not pleased with his brother's comment, visibly frowning.
"That was years ago! Pleaaaaaase?" The Canadian whined, leaning over the table. He put on the most innocent expression he could muster, trying to lure the other into giving in. Fuck, this was much harder than Canada thought it would be. What if America said-
"Okay, okay! I was just messin' with ya! What ya gonna do, bring a girl home~?" America chuckled, shaking his head. He was just teasing the Canadian. Where was the harm in that? America always had been the type to play hard to get. It was entertaining. For America, at least.
"A- Am not! I just wanted to get away from society for a while. You know how school can get. Besides, im planning to move elsewhere, so i need a place to stay while i do that." The Canadian lied... Or did he lie? Once Ukraine was his, he obviously could not stay in his old house. Maybe he could, but it would be difficult. Wait- oh, Canada just got the perfect idea.
"Awh, you're moving?" The older sibling asked, a small, almost childish frown making it's way onto his face.
"Mhm. I-...Erm-" Canada paused, trying to come up with an excuse. What would seem- realistic? Anything could be true, but he needed something that the other would believe.. Something not suspicious..
"I-...I met this one beautiful girl online- We hit it off almost immediately! I've driven to see her a few times, and i decided that i- i want to live with her." The Canadian lied through gritted teeth, trying to keep himself from cringing. It hurt Canada to even think of having someone else in his life. He wanted Ukraine. He didn't want anyone else. The awfully long silence that came after those few sentences made Canada feel genuinely nervous. Had America not believed him? Had-
"A beautiful girl? Hitting it off with you? Ha! Nice one, Nada. But seriously, i wish you good luck with her! When can i meet her~?" America playfully stuck his tongue out at Canada, giving him a wink.
"Probably never. Don't want you to creep her out." Canada rolled his eyes, letting out a soft chuckle. Just as America was about to reply, he cut his older siblings off.
"Anyways, i should get going. When can i head to the cabin?" The Canadian asked, standing up. He picked up his backpack, putting it on, before grabbing his half finished cup of coffee.
"No one is going to be there for months. You can go now, if ya want." America responded with a smile, standing up as well. Might as well walk a bit with his brother. A smile crept onto Canada's face as he heard those words. For months, huh? So Canada had a lot of time to put his plan into action. Wonderful.
"Thanks a lot, Ame! I owe you one!" Canada smiled brightly. He flinched a little as he felt America put his arm around Nads's shoulders.
"No problemo, Nada!" America giggled softly, patting the Canadian's shoulder. Canada slightly narrowed his eyes at his brother for merely a moment, before forcing yet another friendly smile onto his face.
"Say, could you please make up an excuse as to why i'll be missing school for the next few months?" Canada asked, silently praying that the other would agree to do so. That way, he won't have to worry about failing the class, as the subjects he was being taught were extremely easy. For Canada, at least. He could learn them on his own, and catch up with everything once he got back to school.
"Of course! I'll tell them that you're visiting your- eh- family member that lives in another continent!" The American smiled happily. Obviously, this was not the first time they had done something like this. Canada had usually been the one to come up with excuses and explanations to cover for America. The Canadian was a very charming and convincing person, when he wanted to be seen as one.
Canada slipped out from under the other's arm and gave him a small 'goodbye' wave, before rushing out of the Starbucks. He didn't want America to follow him, and that much was obvious. Now... All he needed was some rope and pills.. That was all. He already had everything else he needed in the bag. Those items included a lot of locks, false keys, a false drivers license and- god- he had so many items that he had actually managed to forget what he did and didn't have.
The Canadian did not head home just yet. First, he wanted to visit the pharmacy, to get some sleeping pills. They were crucial for his plan to come true, since he did not want to hurt the Ukrainian beauty more than he had to. A little sickness was nothing compared to a bashed in skull.
He opened the door to the pharmacy, glancing around. To not raise any suspicion, Canada walked around the store for a few minutes, before walking over to the register.
The Canadian gave a smile and in a nervous tone, explained that he could not find what he was looking for, and that he wanted the strongest sleeping pills that he could get without a prescription. Once he got and paid for the pills, Canada apologized for the inconvenience and left the store, shoving the bottle of pills into his backpack. 70% of the plan was done... 30% more to go.
