Ukraine gasped for breath as his body collided with the floor, but he did not have a chance to react. He cried out in pain as a heavy boot slammed down on his arm, practically forcing him to give up the weapon, as that was the only thing Ukraine could use to harm Australia.
"I was kind when i asked her to do this. I was kind not to do this myself and thiS IS THE KIND OF THANKS I GET?!!" Canada growled, getting down on his knees, pinning Ukraine down as he straddled the slavic's waist. Ukraine desperately tried to reach for the razor blade he had dropped and clutched it in his hand tightly. The side of it ripped the skin on his hand, but the adrenaline washed out the feeling of it. Flight was the only thing on his mind. He had to get out of there. Now.
Canada reached for Ukraine's neck, but hissed in pain as the sharp blade cut his bare hand. Ukraine tried to cut him repeatedly, but only after the second time did Canada grab his wrist and pin it down, making the blade useless in his hand. Ukraine snapped his teeth at Canada, but the Canadian was having none of it. One hard punch to Ukraine's face was enough to make him docile for the next few moments, giving Canada enough time to wrap a hand around Ukraine's neck, practically crushing the poor man's windpipe with his palm. "You hurt her and i'll break both of your fucking arms." Canada hissed.
Ukraine could do nothing but let out a gargled gasp in response, using his free hand to weakly claw at Canada's neck and face. Tears streamed down his face as he looked up at the Canadian, eyes filled with fear and regret.
Canada's look softened as he stared into the other's eyes. Seeing Ukraine's face starting to turn blue due to a lack of oxygen, Canada immediately let go, finally allowing the Ukrainian to wheeze, cough and gasp. Of course, Canada wasn't stupid, he grabbed the razor blade from Ukraine, throwing it aside, before leaning back up. "H- Hey-" Canada hushed, before leaning back down, cupping Ukraine's cheeks, forcing the smaller man to look at him, deapite how much Ukraine tried to shake Canada's hands off of him.
"I'm sorry, Ukie- You were just- You were going to hurt my sister and i can't let you do that, darling..." Canada tried to comfort Ukraine. "...I didn't mean to, you made me do this.." He whispered, before getting off of the Ukrainian, grabbing his wrist, forcing the man up to his feet as well.
Ukraine glanced down at his wobbling feet, sobbing quietly as he tried to hold his tears back. He didn't want Canada's hands anywhere near him, especially after this. His thoughts flickered back on like a light as he looked around. Australia was nowhere to be found, which- was expected, but that combined with Canada's words made him feel a guilt unlike any other. It weighed down on him like a boulder as he was pulled into Canada's embrace. Ukraine tensed up almost immediately.
"I missed you so much. You have no clue how much i love you, even when you do things like that.." Canada whispered, his grip around Ukraine only tightening when Ukraine tried to push him away. Ukraine had such a perfect opportunity to escape... But now it was gone. It had been ruined. It had been ruined by the very person he despised with his entire being.
"This is all your fault!!" Ukraine sobbed, shoving Canada away. He took a few steps back, his breaths quick, so quick that they made his chest hurt. "I want to go home, I want to go home, i wANT TO GO HOME!!" Ukraine yelled, crouching down, curling up. He covered his ears and rocked himself back and forth. He didn't want to hear what Canada had to say, but even then, the other's words snaked into his mind like a curse he couldn't get rid of. "No you don't-!" Canada said, sounding genuinely hurt. "What about me?" Canada whispered, crouching down in front of the sobbing man. "What about us? You said you wanted to be with me when you grew up, now you have it! Am i not enough for you? Is this not enough for you...?" He stood up, leaving Ukraine on the ground. "N- No! I- It's not- It's not that!" Ukraine tried to defend himself, but from what? Canada's baseless accusations? Ukraine didn't see that Canada was just messing with him. He didn't see that he fell for it. He, deep down, was still so scared of hurting others, of hurting Canada, and Canada knew that.
"Then why are you acting like this?" Canada frowned. "I'm trying. I'm trying so hard to make you happy, but it's not enough, is it? Is anything enough for you?" He hissed, making Ukraine shudder. "I- I- I'm sorrY-" The Ukrainian curled up further. It was getting hard to breathe.
He flinched as Canada placed a hand on his shoulder, before pulling him into another hug. "It's- fine." Canada rubbed Ukraine's back, giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek. "I- I'm so, s- so sorry-" Ukraine sobbed, burying his face in Canada's shoulder. He truly felt bad. "I don't- I- I don't-" Ukraine hiccuped, and Canada was quick to shush him. "It's fine, shhh, calm down. We can talk this through later.. I'd never give up on you over something this small." Canada ran his fingers through Ukraine's hair as he let the Ukrainian cry. Of course Canada cared about how Ukraine was feeling... But he wanted Ukraine to be his. And to have that, Canada had to do this. He, too, hated this, but it had to be done. If it didn't work, there was another, less peaceful way to be with Ukraine forever and always... But... Not now. Not yet. They still had time.
