Ukraine stared at the window in shock, trying to process what in the world he was seeing. Was it a hallucination? That honestly seemed to be the most plausable explanation that seemed to cross Ukraine's mind. What would anyone be doing out here, in the middle of nowhere, peering into his bedroom window? All thoughts seemed to come to a rough stop as the person knocked on the window to get Ukraine's attention. Okay, not a hallucination. Cautiously, he approached the window. Was this a setup? By Canada, to see if Ukraine would betray his trust and try to escape at the first opportunity given? That... Wouldn't be too surprising, actually.
Another quick knock came at the window as the person glanced around into the trees behind them, making sure that there was no one else around. As soon as Ukraine was right by the window, the person pulled down the scarf covering their mouth and spoke. They spoke, but Ukraine couldn't hear a thing. "I-... I can't hear you.." Ukraine said, as if they'd be able to hear him, which they obviously weren't. Think, Ukraine, think. He was sure that if he raised his voice, they'd be able to hear him, but that would alert Australia, who had already announced her stance on him trying to escape. She wouldn't let him. She'd tell Canada. Fuck. The Ukrainian did try to pry the window open, but that didn't work. It was screwed shut... Screwed shut. Could he unscrew the screws? He could, but it would take too long and be far too noticeable if Canada were to suddenly enter the room.
Ukraine motioned to his ear before shrugging, trying in some sort of way to let the person know that he had absolutely no idea what they were saying. It made the person outside of the window pause, but through quick thinking, they pulled out their phone and began typing something, an action that had Ukraine interested. After no longer that a moment, the phone was brought up and pressed against the window, showing Ukraine the text written on the screen, forcing him to squint his eyes as he tried to read.
'I'm Greenland. This you?'
Ukraine pulled a face, giving a small wave as if to say 'hi', but Greenland paid no attention to him as he pulled his phone back to show him what he meant by 'this you?'. After a small bit, the phone was pushed back up against the glass and- it was a missing person's report with Ukraine's face on it. It felt like a boulder had been lifted off his shoulders, and even then, he couldn't help but to let out a strained sob as he quickly nodded his head, desperate for the newfound rescuer to acknowledge that Ukraine was, in fact, the person from the report. Even so, the photo he had been shown.. It wasn't a live page. It seemed to be a photo of one, which quickly clicked in Ukraine's mind. This was the person. The person who's footsteps he had followed. He had been at the house earlier, he must've noticed Ukraine! Had he purposefully waited until he saw someone, who he figured must be the kidnapper, left? Seemed like it.
'Can you open the window?'
Ukraine shook his head. Several seconds passed as Greenland typed away.
'Who's keeping you here?'
The Ukrainian tensed. Was he to tell the truth? What would happen to Canada? As much of a psycho bitch that he was, Ukraine had to admit, he kept a small amount of affection for that man shoved deep, deep down in his heart.. How could he not? They had been friends for so long, even before Ukraine knew what Canada was capable of. Ukraine stared at Greenland through the thick glass, who mouthed to him something along the lines of 'its okay'.
Ukraine was shaking. What would happen if he told Greenland the truth? Would he die? Would Canada hunt him down and kill him like he did Poland? Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. The Ukrainian blew his hot breath onto the cold glass of the window, fogging it up as he tried to write Canada's name, which proved difficult as he was trying to write it backwards so that the other man could understand. Greenland seemed to get lost in thought, stepping back from the window to take a picture. There was no proof greater than a picture, right? Or maybe a video.. No, a picture would do, he didn't have enough time to take a video and try to communicate with the Ukrainian. The boy leaned into the window, understanding what the other was doing, he just wanted to make sure he could really be seen through the window. This was great! Fuck, fuck, this might be the closest he's ever gotten to getting home.
