*Incoherent sobbing and apologizing for not having posted anything for so long*
Ukraine slightly patted the bed, huffing as he realized the mattress wasn't as soft as he had hoped it would be. There was no way in hell that he'd fall asleep on this thing. He glanced around the room, trying to find something, anything that could help. He could be quite a crafty person, but right now, Ukraine's mind was a complete mess.
He sat on the bed for the longest time, unsure of what to do. The bedroom's door was locked and, chances were, the window was too. Ukraine sighed, looking down at the ground. He couldn't think like this. It had been a long day and he wanted to get some rest...
...
Three days passed by quick as Ukraine adjusted to his new enviorment. He had gotten rather close to Australia and she turned out to be one heck of a woman. Even then, Ukraine could not find any comfort in having her around. It was only a matter of time until Canada got his hands on Ukraine yet again.
The two were in the kitchen, with Australia humming softly to herself as she was cooking pancakes. Ukraine, on the other hand, simply sat by the table, looking around the kitchen. Friendships and remorse were no longer on his mind. He didn't care about getting close to Australia for the sake of having a new friend, he did it to make escaping much easier. He had to get away and there was not much time left. Canada could get here any day.
His eyes trailed the cupboards, before shifting down to the counter drawers. Not long after, he glanced up at Australia, a sour look crossing his face. Ukraine stayed silent for the longest time. He was lost. He knew what he had to do, but... He wasn't sure if he had the strength to do it. No. He had to. There was no other option. "...Excuse me." Ukraine muttered as he stood up, walking over to the bathroom. He hesitantly stepped inside, before looking into the mirror. The Ukrainian barely even recognized himself in the mirror.. He had gotten thinner, there were dark bags under his eyes, his hair was a mess and the happy look he had carried with himself for the last several years was gone. In it's place was a look of a sad, broken man who was ready to give up. But... He couldn't. Not when he had so much on the line. Ukraine had to get out. If not for himself, then for his father and siblings. He'd hate to think about how Bella would react to him never coming home...
He reached and grabbed the side of the mirror, gently opening it. In the cabinet were things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors and toothpicks. Razors. Ukraine had noticed them on accident the first day he had been here and had contemplated on using them to... using them to...
He gripped onto the sink, bowing his head down. Ukraine didn't want to harm her. He really didn't, but he was left with no other option. He grabbed one of the razors and quietly closed the cabinet, before making his way over to the bathroom's door. The Ukrainian locked the door, before sitting down on the ground, starting to meddle with the razor, trying to get the blades out. The lock's click drowned out any background noise, making Ukraine cringe at how loud it had been.
Several minutes passed with Ukraine being in the bathroom, but Aussie did not think anything if it. She understood that Ukraine was going through a lot and might need some alone time. Australia smiled to herself as she placed the pancakes on two separate plates, wiping her hands in the towel. She picked up the plates, but before she could turn around, she felt something sharp being pressed against her neck, a hand covering her mouth. She froze.
"L- Listen- I don't- I don't want to hurt you-" Ukraine said, his voice shaky, just like his hands. Australia didn't dare to move a muscle, being scared of getting her throat slit. "I have to- I have to get out- I- If you were in m- my position, you'd do the same-" Ukraine muttered, sounding rather frantic. He had tears in his eyes, but not because he was threatening the woman's life... Rather, it was because the thought of going home anf being able to hug his father and Bella made him emotional. Australia gave a small, barely noticeable nod in response, trying to stay calm.
"Where are the c- car keys-" Ukraine growled, slipping his hand away from the girl's mouth, grasping onto her jaw instead. When there was no response to be heard, the Ukrainian slightly pressed the blade into her neck, making her let out a small whimper of pain. "Wh- Wh- Where are the d- damn car keys?!" Ukraine raised his voice, making Australia shudder. A small bit of blood was drawn from her neck in response to her movements. Tears streamed down Australia's face as she attempted to get her words out, but the fear of accidentally moving too much made it nearly impossible to do so.
Suddenly, a strong, unforgiving hand grabbed Ukraine's wrist from behind him, forcing the Ukrainian's arm away from Australia's neck. "Oh, i'll fucking tell you where they are, Ukie."
