The two men sat in the kitchen. Ukraine held a hot cup of tea in his hands, looking up at Canada with interest. Surprisingly, they were actually talking casually. No threats, no obsessive behavior.. Just-... Childhood memories.

"Pff, honestly, i was so damn proud when you pushed that guy off of the swing after he called you a bitch-! I still am, really!" Canada giggled softly, Ukraine following suit.

"I- It was i- in 2nd grade! I- I didn't know what else t- to do!" Ukraine smiled a little, taking a sip from his cup of tea. It was nice to relive old memories, even if Ukraine knew damn well it would never go back to the way it was. Not after this. Not ever... It made the Ukrainian said, for some reason. Canada had been such a good friend... A little overprotective, yes, but a wonderful listener.

"Come onnn, it wasn't like you didn't want to do it!" Canada patted Ukraine's shoulder, leaning a bit closer to him. He gazed into the Ukrainian's beautiful eyes, just adoring them for a good minute.

"M- Maaaaybe-" Ukraine gave a small chuckle, shaking his head. He stared back into Canada's mesmerizing, green eyes, locking eye contact. It was nice to just... Sit there and talk..

"We aren't so different after all, now are we?" Canada smiled happily, but- Ukraine, on the other hand, didn't seem to like the comment. It made the Ukrainian snap out of the self protection bubble he had locked himself in. He leaned away from Canada, making the taller man frown a bit.

"No. We- We are nothing alike.." Ukraine mumbled. The thing that made the Ukrainian stop the little moment they had was the fact that Canada tried to justify murdering people by saying that Ukraine pushed someone off a fucking swing in 2nd grade.

"Ukie-" Canada sighed, only to get cut off by Ukraine.

"N- No! I almost b- believed you care, b- but the only thing you care about i- is yourself!" Ukraine hissed, standing up. He, out of pure frustration, spilt what was left of his warm tea onto Canada's shirt, before dropping the cup onto the floor. Luckily, it didn't break, but Canada's heart sure fucking did. Not that he'd admit it, though.

"You better fucking take that back." Canada growled, standing up, slamming his hands down on the table, which made Ukraine stop dead in his tracks. This time, he wasn't scared. He knew damn well what he was getting himself into.

"O- Or what?" The Ukrainian cut back, before continuing to walk to their...His room. Canada could sleep on the sofa for all he cared.

Surprisingly, Canada did not chase after him, and just watched Ukraine leave. The Ukrainian went into his room and slammed the door shut, before sitting down on the bed, curling up. He was nothing like Canada... Or was he...? He's done nothing wrong... Ukraine didn't mean to push that boy off of that swing... He didn't mean to- He didnt want to!

...

Canada huffed as he looked down at the tea stain on his shirt, before looking up at the room Ukraine had gone into. Ukraine probably just needed to be alone for a moment.. Maybe then he'd realize he was in the wrong, and not Canada. Canada didn't say anything that wasn't true.

He shook his head and walked off into the bathroom, opening the washing machine. He took his shirt off, before throwing it into the damn thing. After that, Canada turned on the washing machine, as there was already quite a bit of clothing in there, most of which Canada had snatched from his own house when he first got here.

He left the bathroom, going back into the kitchen instead. He took a seat in the same chair he had sat in previously and stared at the wall for a good few seconds, before something caught his eye. It was a picture frame. In it was his father, his mother and their four children, including Canada. Oh. America kept that photo. How...Cute.

The longer he stared at that photo, the more he seemed to realize something. The smile from his face faded, and he looked like he just realized something. Fuck, he knew what he needed to do to make Ukraine love him-
