Canada muttered curse words under his breath and took out the pistol that he had stolen from America and headed outside. The Canadian felt his blood boil as he looked around, trying to figure out which way Ukraine could've gone.

...

As soon as Canada was out of sight and rather far away from the house, Ukraine left his bedroom. He had been hiding under the bed, but when he heard Canada go to and out the front door, he had crawled out to peek at him through the window. Fuck yes- Canada bought it!! Ukraine genuinely didn't think that would work.

Ukraine ran to his bedroom's door, swinging it open as fast as he could, before frantically looking for America, desperate to get the fuck out of there.

Soon enough, he came across a room that he didn't remember ever being in. He opened the door, his eyes wide ng as he saw America cowering on the floor. "H- Hang in there!" Ukraine said, kneeling down next to America, undoing the belt from around his wrists, throwing it to the side. Ukraine then untied the rope that held America's legs together and jumped to his feet, grabbing America's hand, helping him get up.

"Wh- Why didn't you just- leave-??" America asked, looking genuinely surprised. Not that he was complaining. "No man left b- behind- now lets go! I'm not s- sure for how long Canada will be gone-" Ukraine whimpered, dreading the thought of running into Canada. "I- I don't have my car keys!" America responded almost immediately, panicked. "You- You know h- how to start a car without keys, right??" The Ukrainian asked, staring up at America, hoping to god that would be the case. "I- I don't-" America whimpered.

Ukraine was starting to regret putting this plan into action, because clearly, if they fucked up, things would only get worse. The Ukrainian frantically looked around, before grabbing a screwdriver. He could probably use that as a weapon if it came to that.

"C- Come on! W- We have to go!" Ukraine whimpered, grabbing America by the wrist, dragging him out of the storage room and to the front door. Without an ounce of hesitation, Ukraine bolted outside, with America following close behind. Leaves rustled and branches snapped under their feet as they ran, but they no longer cared about all the noise. They were so close to escaping- they couldn't afford to mess this up.

BANG

A loud gunshot filled the otherwise silent forest. Soon after, there was a thud, causing Ukraine to stop running and look behind himself. America- he was down on the ground, clutching his leg. "A- America!!" Ukraine whimpered, starting to run back to him, only for America to growl and shoo him away. "F- Fucking- just go! I'll be- I'll be fine!! Go!!" America hissed, before a new sound could be heard. Footsteps. But- they weren't Ukraine's. "I- I can't l-" Ukraine got cut off. "GO!!" America hissed at Ukraine.

Reluctantly, Ukraine began to run once again, leaving America behind. It hurt Ukraine to do that. He didn't want to leave America at Canada's mercy.. But- he didn't have a choice. If at least one of them made it out, they could call the police and rescue the other! That thought drove Ukraine to run as fast as he damn could. He'd do this- He'd get out for-

Multiple gunshots could be heard, making Ukraine's ears ring. But... Even then, they sounded- far away.. Like they weren't aimed at- "AMERIKA!!" Ukraine yelled, looking back, his legs giving out. Oh- Oh god... Had- Had Canada killed America...? The Ukrainian felt fear paralyze him as tears formed in his eyes. He wasn't sure if that was the case, as he had gotteb rather far away and he saw nothing but trees in the distance.

Ukraine sat there for a moment, but before he could start pitying himself, he shakily got up and started to run again. Fuck, Fuck, Fuck- Now, god knows what happened to America!! The Ukrainian felt horrible for just running away, but there was no other option. Clearly, Canada had a gun, and on top of that, the Canadian was much, much stronger than Ukraine and could easily overpower the poor Ukrainian...

He tried to keep his sobs and cries to the minimum as he continued to run as fast as his legs allowed him to, the adrenaline he felt blocking out any physical pain he felt at that very moment. He had to go on. He had to. If not for America, then for his family. He couldn't let them down...

Ukraine jumped as he heard loud, heavy footsteps chasing after him. Was this how he'd die? Running away like the coward he was... It was certainly better than doing absolutely nothing, though-
