⚠️ THIS CHAPTER INCLUDES DRUGGING ⚠️
It had been a few days since he had last seen Canada. Ukraine was currently sitting on his bed, getting dressed. The Canadian had invited him over to Nada's place. The Ukrainian felt uneasy about going there, but the way Canada had seemed so... Upset and worried, made Ukraine feel bad for even considering not going. Maybe Ukraine had only imagined seeing Nada in Poland's backyard on that day.. Probably.
Ukraine stood up, stretching his arms up into the air. When he last saw Canada, the man had given him an envelope, telling him not to open it for any reason and leave it on his bed when he went to see Canada. It sounded suspicious, but Ukraine did as told. He stepped out of his room, walking down the hall. As expected, he saw USSR in the living room, watching the television.
"Pa, im going out- I'll be back in an hour or two." Ukraine said with a sigh, putting his shoes on.
"Hm? And where will you be going?" The Russian asked, turning to look at Ukraine. He rested his arm on the back of the couch.
"Erm-... Uh-" The Ukrainian paused. Surely, if he said the truth, The Soviet Union would never let him go. His best bet was to come up with a decent excuse.
"Im going to go buy some flowers and visit Poland." Ukraine mumbled, looking down. It hurt to mention the Polish man. Poland had been way too young to die.. Let alone in such a horrible way. A soft sigh left his lips as he looked at the door.
"I see. Don't stay out past the dark, be home by eight, if anything happens, call me." USSR said in such a way, as if he had rehearsed those words dozens of times.. Which he had. The Soviet was rather strict when it came to rules. He looked back at the TV screen, leaning back against the couch.
"Okay." The Ukrainian nodded, opening the front door. He wasn't sure if going to Canada's place was a good idea.. He just... Had a horrible feeling resting in his gut. It was screaming at him to turn around and go visit Poland instead, head home right after. No. Canada was his friend.. He couldn't do that to him.
He walked down the street, keeping his hands in his hoodie's pockets. Ukraine's mind was a mess and his heart was aching.
After nearly half an hour of walking later, Ukraine reached Canada's house. It was rather small, but Ukraine didn't mind. Moving out while he wasn't even fully an adult was already impressive enough. He walked over to the front door, giving a soft knock. Ukraine put on a small smile, waiting for the door to open.
Not even seconds later, the door opened. Canada greeted the other with a smile, stepping out of the way, to let Ukraine come inside.
"Hey, Nada!" Ukraine gave a smile, waving a little. He hesitantly stepped inside, glancing around. Nothing seemed to be out of ordinary... He was probably just overreacting. Canada would never do something so...Horrible.
"Heya, Ukie. Did you do as i asked you to?" Canada asked, innocent curiosity could be heard in his voice. He smiled brightly once Ukraine nodded his head. Good. Everything was going according to plan.
"What even was in that note?" Ukraine asked, looking up at the other.
"Oh, nothing special, really. Just wrote something to your dad. Figured it would be best to have you out of the house while he reads it, hah." The Canadian smiled, patting Ukraine's head. He then gently took the Ukrainian's hand, leading the other into the living room. He sat Ukraine down.
"Would you like something to drink?" Canada asked.
"Ah- not r-" Ukraine was about to decline, but cut off by the Canadian.
"Great! Would you like tea or coffee?" Canada asked with a bright smile, making it obvious that he would love to make Ukraine something to drink for whatever reason.
"Canada-... Okay, okay. Would tea be alright?" Ukraine asked, deciding not to argue. He found it odd that the Canadian was so insistent on having Ukraine drink something. Eh, Canada was probably worried about Ukraine staying hydrated. How sweet of Canada.
"Of course! I'll be right back!" Canada smiled happily, walking off in the direction of what Ukraine assumed was the kitchen. The bad feeling in Ukraine's gut was intensifying, and Ukraine didn't like that one bit. His gut feeling was usually right, so this was terrifying.
Several minutes later, Canada returned, a cup of tea in his right hand and a cup of coffee in his left. He happily gave Ukraine the cup of tea, before sitting down.
Ukraine accepted the cup of tea. He stared down at the warm liquid, contemplating his options. He shouldn't... He shouldn't drink it. Something felt awfully wrong.. It was all starting to click. The envelope... The other's persistence.. The Ukrainian felt sick to his stomach as he saw something small, almost impossible unnoticeable dissolving in his drink. Fuck. He tried to hide his panicked expression.
"I- Im going to go to the bathroom-" Ukraine mumbled, setting the cup of tea down on the coffee table before standing up.
Canada watched as Ukraine rushed into the hallway. Nada did not suspect that Ukie had noticed that the drink had been drugged, and just simply assumed that the Ukrainian really, really needed to go.
Ukraine was about to run into the bathroom, but noticed a door. The door. Canada had never let him go in there, even after all the sleepovers and years of theie friendship. The Ukrainian really wanted to know what was in there, but at the same time, he wanted to go into the bathroom and call his father.
He stopped in the middle of the hallway, quickly pulling out his phone. Ukraine's hands shook as he typed out a 'please help, I'm at _______', and sent it to his father. He then shoved the phone into his pocket and slowly approached the door, making sure to be quiet. The Ukrainian glanced around for a moment, before gently grabbing onto the door handle. He felt sick, like he was going to throw up any moment.. Why was his body giving off so many red flags? There- There shouldn't be anything wrong with the room.. With a great deal of hesitation, Ukraine opened the door, stepping inside the room. Wait- Wh- What the fuck-?!
