Chapter 28, "Halloween"

Jayda's POV

Halloween was today and I had some major getting ready to do. The house has already been decorated since the start of the month and so now I just had to set out the kid's costumes. Hannah decided she wanted to go as a tinkbell, while Hendrix wanted to dress up as Iron Man.

The adults on the other hand had a special night planned which Louis was setting up for.

"So, what are you dressing up as tonight?" Harry smiled.

"I guess you'll just have to wait and see," I winked.

Harry and I were going as Han Solo and Princess Leia, just to be family friendly with the kids. I had no clue what the others were dressing up as, but I had too many things to do to be worried about it right now.

At the moment, it was 1 and we decided we would start around 5 and end at 8.

"Ughhhh fine. What do you need me to help with?" he asked.

"I need you to call your mom to make sure she is good to take the kids tonight and then go help Louis with the decorations." I ordered.

"Yes ma'am," he smirked.

I continued getting the kid's outfits ready and then went in the living room to see how the production was going. To my surprise, I found the boys playing around with the decorations and barely anything was up.

"What in the hell people?!" I shouted, causing them to stop in their tracks and look at me.

"Uhhhh....Jayda this isn't even my fault. They came in here messing with me," Louis said.

"Not true. Louis started throwing cob webs and spiders at me to try and scare me." Niall pouted.

"Hey I just came to help and then they were messing around so I just joined in,"Zayn said nonchalantly.

"Harry started chasing me with spoons," Liam told.

I looked at all of them shaking my head.

"Darling?" Harry mumbled.

"Don't darling me. Just move, move I'll handle this. Y'all go do anything else but this. Louis, could you go get the rest of the girls to come help me?" I asked, taking over the decor.

The plan was to have a mini haunted house in the entire house, but at this rate I'm not sure how "haunted" it's going to be. I should've just hired somebody to do this. I probably will still and they could just do it while we're out.

Louis returned back with the girls as they helped me set up. Yah this house is just too big for the 5 of us, so I called a professional instead. I'm sure they would do a lot better.

It was now 3 and I wanted to feed the kids before, so they shouldn't be too hungry later on tonight. I made them along with everyone else some quesadillas and rice. I was just trying to waste time at this point.

an hour later...

"Okay, showers little ones. We've got to get you dressed within the next 40 minutes let's go," I said, getting them out the backyard.

Eleanor told me Frankie was going as a pirate which was honestly just the cutest thing ever. I decided to wait and take a shower till after the kids were done. The decorators were working on the house and everything was coming together pretty nicely. They said by the time we're back, everything will be fully finished.

Everyone was running around the house trying to help with the kids, as well as get themselves dressed. Kara was Black Widow and she somehow convinced Zayn to be Captain America. Niall and Amelia went as Jack and Rose. Liam and Maya were Daphne and Fred, and Louis and Eleanor were going as pirates along with Frankie.
