(This isn't as much of a ship story as much as a angst one with all the league members.)
The day couldn't have gotten much worse. But it did.
Earlier that day while out of the school grounds, the Dekusquad was attacked by a purse snatcher. She had attempted to steal Uraraka's handbag, but Todoroki managed to catch up with her. But, before she managed to run off, she tossed a purple ball in front Todoroki that burst. It surrounded him in purple smoke, making him cough and fall to the ground. When his friends managed to get to Todoroki, he had been turned back into six years old.
Panicked, they rushed him back to UA and to Recovery Girl's office. She had concluded that the quirk was indeed an aging quirk, but would not be permanent. But, not only his body was reduced back to a child, but so was his memory. Which explained why he was asking where he was and where his Mom was. After brief bickering, Tsuyu announced she would be the first to take care of Shoto. Since she had practically raised her siblings, and was the student Aizawa truly trusted with baby sitting Eri, it was only natural Tsuyu would care for Todoroki.
And for the most part, everything was fine! Though, when Tsuyu had left to use the bathroom, she returned to find Todoroki crying. Apparently, Bakugou and Deku's fighting and yelling had scared the living Hell out of the poor child. Tsuyu scolded the two childhood friends, clearly mad that they would make poor Shoto cry. Yaoyorozu was able to eventually settle Todoroki down with a stuffed teddy bear she had created.
But, Endeavor had arrived to take Shoto home. He felt that Todoroki as a small child was going to be put in danger if out on the training fields. But, Todoroki only knowing his Father as a man who would force him to train, beat him and his siblings and Mother, and would be down right cruel, became terrified. While no one was looking, Todoroki escaped the dorms, running out into the cold night, barefoot, and only wearing short sleeves and short pants. It was freezing outside, and barely understanding his quirk and being fearful of it, Shoto did nothing to warm himself.
He wanted his Mother, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Touya. More that anyone or anything else.
"Mamma!" Shoto's tiny voice called out meekly. Cars passed by, not bothering to stop and help the small boy. Even people taking a nightly jog or just passing by didn't help him. Shoto even mustered up the courage to ask a jogging woman if she had seen his Mother. She said she hadn't, before continuing off on her merry way. The people who passed Todoroki just looked at him with confusion, pity, and slight worry. But, a Hero would come and save him.Right?
Shoto shivered, tears sliding down his cheeks as he began to get scared when no answers came. "Mamma?? Natsu?? Fuyumi??" Still, nothing happened.
Until...
"SHOTO!!" Even though his youngest son was out of his sight, his voice carried on through the silent streets.Hearing his Father's voice made Todoroki begin to sprint down the street even further, wanting to escape the nightmare. Even though his legs buckled and ached, he just had to keep going. Maybe his family was also hiding from Dad? Looking behind him to make sure he wasn't being followed, Todoroki let out a terrified squeak as he rammed into something. Todoroki was sent crashing down onto his back, whining in pain.
Looking up, Todoroki saw a man wearing all black, with a hand covering his face.
Bright red eyes stared down at Todoroki with confusion, "Eh? What are--hey aren't you Endeavor's kid?" The man knelt down, causing Todoroki to yelp in fright, pulling his teddy bear to his chest. "Huh, you sure are. Got hit with a quirk i'm guessing?" The man continued on.
Suddenly, Enji once again called out for his son, "SHOTO!!!"
Shoto gasped, scrambling to his feet and running down the road. Without thinking twice, Shigaraki ran after the terrified child, knowing something wrong had happened.Todoroki ran into an alley way, hiding himself in the shadows. Tomura followed, slowly approaching Todoroki. Todoroki reminded him so much of himself as a child, that it was almost unbearable. "Don't worry, i'm not gonna hurt you." Tomura spoke gently, kneeling down and sitting across from Todoroki.
"W-who are y-you?" Shoto stuttered.
"Ah, so you were fully reversed. Um..just...call me Shiggy. Might be easier for you to pronounce."
"Y-you won't t-tell Father where I am will you, Mr. Shiggy?"Shigaraki was silent for a few seconds, before shaking his head, "No, of course not. But, why are you so scared of him?"
"H-He hits my Mom, a-and my sister, and my br-brothers.." Todoroki confessed. Shigaraki was filled with instant rage, an unbearably itch cursing his neck.
"Do you want to stay with me and my friends?" Tomura asked. When, and if, Todoroki returned to normal, he would ask him about joining the League. Tomura might have to do some convincing, but with a child hood like this, it shouldn't be too hard.Todoroki slowly nodded, reaching out for Tomura with a soft whine. Shigaraki carefully held Shoto's trembling body, standing up from the cold ground.
"Kurogiri," Shigaraki suddenly spoke as he touched a watch he had been wearing, "i'm ready to come home." A portal appeared beside Tomura, to which he walked through just before Endeavor would have checked that exact alley."WHOA!!" Twice dropped his cup, causing glass to shatter on the ground.
"That's Shoto! Endeavor's kid!!" Toga yelled, pointing at the tiny child in her boss's arms.
"What the hell happened!?" Spinner questioned sharply.
"And why did you bring him back here??" Mr. Compress asked, shocked beyond all belief. Kurogiri stared with wide eyes, lost for words. The sudden loud noises and yells caused Shigaraki to feel Shoto grip tighter onto him.
He soothingly shushed the small boy's whimper's, before looking back to his team.
"First of all, stop shouting and being so damn loud. Second, he was probably hit by a quirk. He just bumped into me before running off again after Endeavor called for him.""So? I don't see a reason why you would bring him back here." Spinner continued, not wanting a bad outcome to this.
"He also told me about how Endeavor hit him, his Mother, and siblings." Shigaraki continued on.
"Oh...never mind then.." Spinner waved off his complaining. Yeah, keep the kid here.
"Awww!! Poor baby! Don't you worry, Big Sis Mange and Toga won't let anything happen to you, sweet thing." Mange gushed, her and Toga feeling heart broken over the traumatized boy."So, what are we gonna do with him?" Asked Spinner.
"We're keeping him." Shigaraki stated firmly.
"WHAT?!!? AWESOME!! " Twice yelled, fist bumping the air.
"What's all the yelling about?!" Dabi growled, marching into the room. He wore loose grey sweatpants and no shirt, having just awoken from a nap.
"Dabi! Dabi look! We're keeping Shoto!!" Toga bounced with excitement, making grabby hands to try and take Shoto from Shigaraki.Dabi's eyes grew wide, color drain from his face. He stared at his little brother, both shocked and relieved. But his face showed stunned fear. He slowly walked up to Tomura, taking his baby brother from his boss's arms despite the girls whining and Shigaraki's protesting. His legs shook, forcing Dabi to sit down. Todoroki stared at Dabi's crying face, not recognizing who it was.
"Mr, what ha-happened to your f-face? Are you h-hurt?" Shoto questioned. Dabi slowly shook his head, hugging Todoroki tightly. He could protect him now."Holy shit dude, you need like a tissue or something?" Twice asked, watching as Dabi cried and stroke Todoroki's hair gently.
Dabi shook his head, "No i'm fine." He looked down at Todoroki, who seemed confused, gently touching at Dabi's purple patched skin. Dabi smiled, a warm look on his usually annoyed face.
