I had more little ideas for what these two would've done growing up. They're so cute 😁
Tomura Shigaraki: 11
Shoto: 9A crack of thunder sounded throughout the base just as Shoto shot up in bed, hands clutching at his clothed chest. "Wh-wha...wh-where..." he stumbled over his words while looking around his room in a very frantic manner, searching for something. Or someone. However, despite his worry Shoto found himself alone, just like any other night something such as this occurred. As he caught his breath, Shoto blinked his mix-matched eyes to clear them of sleep, but this action also allows tears to slip down his cheeks and onto his blankets.
Rubbing the wet droplets away with his arms, Shoto sighs softly through his nose. He felt so tired, like he could sleep for weeks, but he was too scared to. It was always like this; Shoto would have one of those terrible nightmares and be unable to go back to sleep for the rest of the night. A flash of lightning briefly lit up the room, being followed by a boom that seemed to rattle throughout the child's entire body. Jolting violently, Shoto accidentally fell out of his bed, hitting the floor and knocking the air out of his lungs. It takes a few moments but he eventually he does regain his composure and gets up to his feet.
Grabbing a pillow off his bed, Shoto takes it along with him as he leaves his dark bedroom. Even in the hallway Shoto could hear the rain pounding on the roof, walls and windows. No matter where he would go, he'd be surrounded by it; noise. Unsure of what exactly he should do, Shoto did what he always did: go to Tomura. Quietly he went to the older boy's room, stepping inside without so much as making the door creak. On the bed was a Tomura-sized lump, so he remained silent as he crept up to the wooden frame. He was about to get into bed but froze. Would Tomura want to share his bed with him? What if he wanted to be alone? He needed to be invited first.
Setting his pillow down on the floor Shoto plopped himself down, closing his eyes and attempted to fall asleep. However, faint memories of both his nightmare--its actually had been a bad memory--and the flashes of lightning plus sounds of thunder kept the poor boy from doing so. Just once he'd like to sleep without these dreams keeping him up. ' Maybe Sensei knows what to do about dreams..' Shoto ponders to himself while rubbing his eye.
Just then Shoto feels something touch the top of his head and he instinctively flinches, letting out a frightened chirp. Looking up he sees that it was only Tomura, whose red eyes were staring down at him. Slowly he gets up onto his knees, rubbing his left arm in a nervous manner. "Again?" Tomura inquires, voice groggy from just having woken up. Shoto gives a timid nod. "The one about your mom?" Another nod. Sighing, Tomura too sits up and flips back the covers, "Alright, come on. You can stay here for tonight, but you really can't keep sneaking out of your room to sleep on my floor Sho."
"Okay." Shoto agrees before climbing inside the bed. Fidgeting around to get more comfortable, Shoto's mind wanders as Tomura begins to fall back asleep. He understood his friend's frustration with him; he knew they were both getting too old to sleep in either of each other's beds at the same time. Plus they both needed their own space. It's not like they didn't hang out all day long, playing games, training and learning. They barely spent a second apart. So, it did make sense to Shoto that Tomura would want some time to himself, especially at night.
"I don't mind you coming to me when you're scared," Tomura suddenly spoke up, making Shoto give a tiny jump, "I get it."
"Sorry."
"It's alright. Just try to push through it."
"Okay."
