Todoroki felt himself stumble around as he trudged through the growing amount of snow that was covering the sidewalk. Since his mouth had began to sting from breathing in and out through it so much, he tried once again to breath through his nose. However, finding that it was still stuffed up, he had no other choice but to continue to use his mouth. His head felt like it was completely disconnected from his body, making the teen sway from side to side as he struggled to walk. The temperature of his body was completely out of his control now. One moment he felt like he was on fire, then the next he was as cold as the windchill he was facing.

Each time Todoroki breathed it felt like his lungs were two quivering caged birds, his heart throbbing between them like it was about to burst. It felt like his skull was being repeatedly hit with a sledge hammer, giving the fire/ice user one of the absolute worse headaches he had ever had. Todoroki was sick and he knew it. He had never felt this utterly weak and frail in his entire life, but he refused to let himself rest right now. He couldn't afford it. Today the League of Villains had a meeting about the next big move, so Todoroki really couldn't sit this one out. ' Just suffer through it until the meeting's over, ' Todoroki said inside his head while catching himself before he fell down, ' you can hold on for a little while longer..

Once he finally got to the bar, Todoroki opened the front door and nudged it closed behind him with the side of his boot. The first thing Todoroki's hazy sight could process was Toga reaching for a plate that was stacked high with cookies. Sadly for her, Kurogiri slaps Toga's hand away when he catches her. "You've had four already, Toga Himiko." Kurogiri reminds the blonde girl, placing a metal dome over the plate. Himiko whines and gives the purple mist man puppy dog eyes, which really didn't suit her cat-like features. It was then Kurogiri noticed Todoroki standing in front of the door, still in his heavy winter jacket and boots.

"Welcome back home, Todoroki Shoto." Kurogiri greeted the teen, who's droopy mix matched eyes met the well dressed man's big golden ones, "Would you care for a cookie?" The mere mention of consuming something, especially sugar, made Todoroki feel even worse than he did before, his stomach walls churning the bile inside of it. Todoroki's eyes close briefly, heavily panting as he tried to settle himself. When his eyes opened, he saw that both Toga and Kurogiri were staring at him.
' Answer his question, idiot! ' Todoroki snapped at himself, figuring that was the reason for the odd looks.

Since his throat felt too raw for him to speak, Todoroki just silently shook his head and waved his hand in refusal. Every time he swayed now his head he felt like his brain was jiggling around inside his skull. "Are you feeling okay? You look awful." Toga asked, noticing Todoroki's face was blotched in red mainly around the eyes, cheeks, nose and ears. His skin was laced in sweat, taking in short inhales and exhales. His hair stuck out every which way in such a manner that it looked like he was attempting to mimic Midoriya's hair style.
Todoroki shakes his head quickly, rasping out in a strained voice, "n--no...m'fine..."

Just then, Shigaraki walked into the room, followed by the other members of the League. Spinner cringes, "Yikes kid, you look terrible!! Are you coming down with something??" Todoroki shakes his head slowly, wincing from the pain that came when he swallowed down what little bit of saliva had collected in his mouth.
"Perhaps we should move the meeting to a later date." Suggested the warp-gate villain. Todoroki panics at this proposal, and he begins to argue that he's fine. But before he got the chance to speak, Shoto felt his eyes roll to the back of his sockets, his consciousness swimming away as he blacked out.

Shigaraki dove forward to quickly catch his boyfriend before he hit the floor. "IS HE DEAD??" Twice exclaimed, everyone gathering around the two males on the floor.
"No." Shigaraki shook his head when he felt Todoroki's pule under the pad of his finger. He then his hand on top of Shoto's sweaty forehead. Feeling both sides of his skin, Shigaraki muttered out, "He's burning up, even on the right side."
"Isn't that like biologically impossible for him??" Spinner questioned.
"Whatever it is, it's not good. Spinner, help me get him into bed." Shigaraki ordered, lifting Todoroki up into his arms.

A few hours passed by, Todoroki's consciousness returning to him when his brain halfway registered the sensation of something cold being draped over his forehead. After a few more moments, Shoto could tell that he was no longer wearing his winter jacket nor his school uniform. Instead whatever he had on was much looser, and he was buried under quite a few blankets. Opening his different colored eyes wearily, Shoto saw a swirl of blurred colors in his fuzzy vision. Blinking a couple times allowed for him to see much clearer, however what he saw made his entire body tense in reaction. Shigaraki, Toga, Spinner, Twice, Compress and even Dabi were all looming over him, watching him with both concern and curiosity.

"It's not like I don't appreciate the gesture and all," Todoroki spoke up slowly, his tone raspy and weak sounding, "but do you all have to stand over me like this? It's kinda making me feel like a dying hospital patient.."
"Oi, knock off that sass." Dabi snapped, arms crossed and looking very angry with his brother, "If you were ever going to die, I'd be the one killing you. Got that?"
"Yes sir." Todoroki replied, though his tone couldn't be different from it's usual monotone tone or a sarcastic one. Shigaraki gives Dabi a side-eyed suspicious glance, before turning his gaze back to the peppermint haired boy.

"Why didn't you tell us you were sick?" Shigaraki questioned.
"We had a meeting today." Todoroki responded, and was confused when Shigaraki narrowed his eyes.
"That's not a good excuse."
"It's not an excuse though?"
Compress suddenly clear his throat, drawing attention to him, "Perhaps Shoto's sudden illness was caused by overworking himself." Todoroki blinked, brows furrowing as he became even more confused than he had been earlier. "Overworking your body while simultaneously not giving it the proper rest and nutrition it needs can lead to you becoming sick." Compress explained.

"When did you start feeling sick?" asked the reptilian man.
"Two days ago."
"Did you take medicine for it?" Too nervous to admit the truth, Todoroki remained quiet. Luckily for him, he didn't need to since the others quickly figured it out for themselves. He hadn't.

"The meeting will be rescheduled later on," Shigaraki informed, tone blank as well as his expression, "you all can leave now. Shoto needs some rest."
Toga began to speak against this, "Actually, I wanted to stick around to-" She shut her lips tight when her boss gave her a look. Slowly, Himiko proceeded to keep talking, but this time her attitude had changed, "You know what? I just remembered that I have an important thing I need to go do." With that, everyone filed out of Todoroki's small bedroom. All except Shigaraki himself, of course. Instead, he just props himself up on the bed with his left arm, his other hand flipping the rag on his boyfriend's forehead to the other side.

"You shouldn't stay around me, you might get sick too.." Todoroki advised, worried for his boss/best friend/boyfriend's health.
"It's okay, I don't mind." Tomura uttered out in a soft tone. To further prove his point, he leaned down to press a kiss to a slightly cold cheek. "Go back to sleep. You really do need it." Nodding in reply, Todoroki allowed himself to shut his eyes, gradually drifting off into slumber once more.
