The alarm clock on Todoroki Shoto's bedside table read 2:34 A.M.

Todoroki is packing a duffel bag, filling it with items he believes will be of upmost importance to him. Todoroki filled the bag up with some of his clothes, tooth brush, laptop (plus it's charger), phone charger, a folded paper map for situations where his phone was dead and there was no place to charge it, wallet full of money plus Endeavor's credit card, and a few other things to pass the time if/when he gets bored. He's doing this all while being as quiet as he possibly can, since his room was not far from where his father's room was.

You may be wondering; 'Why is Shoto packing up all his belongings at this hour?
Well, the answer to that obvious question is very simple; he is running away. He is sick of his life, sick of his family.
Sick of how his father treats him more like a successful specimen than an actual son.
Sick of how Fuyumi kept acting like everything going on in their family was alright, and how she kept trying and wanting to fix something that was too broken to ever be fixed.
Sick of how Natsuo ignored everything around him when he was at home.
He was sick of it all.

Now, Shoto had a chance to escape. To leave this place that caused him so much sorrow and pain, and finally get to live his life how he saw it fit. A life that could allowed his own goals to have a chance at being successful. No one to order him around or use him for their own gain. Todoroki unlocked the latches on his window, slowly sliding it open ever so carefully as to not alert anyone else in the house. The cold wind that blew into the room seemed to both refresh and ease Shoto's racing mind. The cold reminded him of visiting his mother in the hospital. Her room was always pleasantly cold.

Glancing over at his futon, Todoroki saw his folded U.A. uniform and on top of it was his student ID card. Memories of his friends back at U.A. flooded into Todoroki's mind, or at least they called themselves his friends. The bi-colored eyed male quickly pushed those memories and feelings away. He wouldn't be held back by them, not this time. They succeeded last time, but they wouldn't this time. It would be their own faults if they missed him, Shoto had told them many times before that he hadn't went to U.A. to make friends. All he was there for was to please his father. Yet even that didn't even make the old man happy. Besides, the goals Shoto had set for himself were far off from being heroic by any means, so continuing U.A. was pointless. His dreams of becoming a Hero had been dead for years now. It was the silly dream of a child

Todoroki lifted his duffel bag up off the ground before tossing it outside of the window. It fell to the ground with a thud that wasn't too loud. Todoroki sighed with deep relief at this. Todoroki gripped the side edges of the window, heaving himself up and out of the window as well. Todoroki quickly checked himself, making sure he hadn't dropped anything on his way out. Both his phone and pocket knife were still there, good. Picking up the duffel bag, Todoroki hung the strap of it over his shoulder, then flipped his hood over his head, and finally made his way quickly and sneakily off the property.

At this point, Todoroki had been walking for a good thirty minutes. The air was near frigid, but Todoroki didn't mind it. He loved cold weather. Plus he had his fire side to warm him just in case he got too cold. The streets he walked were practically empty, say for the occasional passing cars that drove by. ' I wonder if father will search for me, ' Todoroki pondered to himself, ' it also begs the question if my classmates would go that far as well. God, I hope not. That's the last thing I want from them right now. ' But, knowing his own luck, they probably would. And they would probably find him. Todoroki wanted to make sure none of that ever happened.

The atmosphere around Todoroki seemed fairly peaceful. However, the candy caned haired teen couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being continuously watched and/or followed. But every time he would turn around to check, no one would be there. More time passes, the feeling of being watched/followed beginning to eat away at Todoroki's being, until he just could not take it any longer. Todoroki turned to look behind him, once again no one else was there. "I know you're there," Todoroki called out to who he believed was a stalker, "come out!" There was silence for a few moments, though those moments felt as if they dragged on forever. Just as Todoroki was about to declared himself crazy, a familiar man dressed in nearly all black emerged from the darkness of an alley. It was Dabi.
