"All i'm saying is that I believe your technique isn't the best."
Shigaraki scoffed lightly at the comment, looking back at the purple haired reptilian man as they walked back to the base from their shared mission, "What's wrong with it?"
"You use your boosts too early," Spinner explains, "you should really learn to be more patient and use them at the right times."
Shigaraki replied in a defensive tone, "My technique is just fine. And don't think your own usage of power-ups are so picture-perfect; every single time you get a speed booster, you use it without a second thought."

"Hey, those are different! And I do save them sometimes."
"Sometimes." Shigaraki repeated with a roll of his eyes.
"How about once we get inside we see who's skill is the best." Spinner challenged as they walked up the hideout's front door steps. Before Shigaraki could accept this challenge, he paused and turned to the big metal door. Just beyond it he could faintly hear shouting. Angry, furious shouting.

Quickly mashing in the pass code for the door lock, Shigaraki raced inside while being followed by a now confused Spinner. "Why the sudden panic, man?" Spinner inquired once they got into the base. However, his question was answered by what he saw in front of him; In the entrance room Dabi was there holding a frozen slab of plastic wrapped meat against his face while Toga was practically screeching at him.
"Why do you always have to aggravate him like that?!" Toga snapped, hands on her hips as her golden eyes narrowed, "You know how Shoto-Kun can get stuttery and choppy with his words. It's difficult enough for him to accept that as it is, he doesn't need his jerk of a big brother bullying him about it!"

"What the hell is going on??" Shigaraki inquired, already sensing that whatever it was it hadn't been good. Toga Himiko doesn't get angry like this easily, so it must be near end-of-the-world level bad.
Toga whipped around to face her boss, "Oh, i'll tell you what happened; Shoto-Kun came back from school in a bad mood and Dabi being Dabi obviously had to say something smart about it. This lil' comment of his led them both into a full-blown argument and Shoto-Kun got so riled up that he began stuttering and stumbling over his words. You know how he gets when he's overwhelmed and can't quite piece his words together? Of course Dabi pointed this out and teased him about it."

"What happened then?" Spinner urged on. Toga spun back around and strolled over to Dabi, snatching the frozen meat away from his face. His eye was blackened and a few of his staples had been knocked loose.
"Toga and I had to pull Todoroki away from Dabi," Compress explained further, "but he broke away from us and ran down the hall. I believe he's in your room, Shigaraki."  Without needing to hear another word, Shigaraki quickly beginning to venture towards his room.

Inside Tomura's room Todoroki paced endlessly, muttering slews of words that not even he could comprehend. There was so much going on, the room was so noisy. Their voices were so loud that he couldn't focus on anything else. While his right hand began hitting the side of his head--because it usually made all the noise quiet down eventually--Todo stuck his left hand's thenar muscle into his mouth, teeth baring down on the skin. "Please," he pleaded, voice muffled by his hand, "please please please just go. I can't take this right now.." He felt so small, so helpless, so hopelessly terrified. Just like a child.

' It's okay '
' Your okay '
' We missed you '
' It's safe right now '
' Been so long '
' Don't worry '
' Calm '
Todoroki's head shook, tears leaked from his clenched eyes while his jaw clamped down tighter. Pain seemed to be nonexistent at the moment, so he didn't stop even when his teeth broke through the top layer of skin and into flesh.

Deciding that his hand wasn't bringing enough force, Todoroki began banging his head against the wall in a desperate attempt to send all of them away. He could taste blood entering his mouth, which brought some nostalgic memories into his confused and clouded mind. Although he began to feel immensely dizzy, Shoto continued to slam his head against the wall. The voices were fading, but so was he. He felt weightless like a bird.

The door swung open and Shigaraki ran into the room, eyes growing as he saw his boyfriend grabbing the back of his own head and hitting it against the wall while biting down on his own hand. "HEY HEY HEY STOP THAT!!!" Shigaraki shouted, rushing over to grab the younger from behind. Dragging him over to the bed, Shigaraki sat on it's edge and began prying Shoto's mouth open, knocking away his bleeding hand.
Todoroki began scream-crying, thrashing around as he yelled, "STOP STOP STOP IT!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"

Acting quick, Shigaraki grabbed Todoroki's flailing arms by their wrists and turned him around so that they were facing each other. Crossing his arms over his chest, with great speed Shigaraki hugged the younger tightly, pinning his crossed arms between them in a security embrace. This made it so that Todoroki could no longer hit himself nor anything else. He could see the blood dampening his trench coat, the liquid glimmering in what little light the room was providing. Shigaraki notes that he wish he could get Todoroki's headphones, music always helped him calm down. But in the state he was in right now, Shiggy couldn't even get up for that.

Todoroki let out a wailing croon, "Leave me alone!!" as he began bumping his head off of Shigaraki's shoulder. It bared no similar hardness to the wall, so it was doing a bad job helping them go away. Todo wriggled in an attempt to get away from them
"Shhh~" Shigaraki hushed soothingly while rubbing up and down Todoroki's back, "We're the only ones in here. It's okay now, baby. "
"No, no it's not! Their in here!!" Todoroki tried to deny, but was shushed once again.
"I promise that beside me there is no one else in here with you, Shoto. Everything is okay."

Ceasing his struggling, Todoroki just cried like a baby as his arms went limp and slipped down to his lap. It took awhile, but eventually they all left, leaving Todoroki alone with his boyfriend finally. Simultaneously, his crying lessened as well. "Sweetheart, we need to clean your hand now, okay?" Shigaraki informed, standing them both up from off the bed. Todoroki's footing wobbled and he nearly fell, but luckily Tomura caught him before that could happen. Going into their small bathroom, Shigaraki retrieved a mini first aid kit from underneath the sink.

While disinfecting the bite wound with cleaning alcohol, Shigaraki glances down at Todoroki. His angelic face was baron of any sort of emotion, but in his eyes there was clear anguish and weariness. Shigaraki decides against saying anything. Even though he really wants to, it was best for him to bite his tongue for just a few minutes more. Once finished bandaging the younger's hand, Shigaraki cups his lover's cheek in a gloved hand, the other brushing away at messy bangs. Todoroki's eyes slowly trail up to meet Tomura's but he looks away quickly; he can't face him, not with all the shame consuming him right now.

Leading him back to the bed, Shigaraki hold Todoroki close to himself. He didn't want to let go ever again. After a long time filled with silence, Todoroki speaks up, "Why?"
"Why what?" Shigaraki hummed, head tilting in confusion.
"Why do you put up with me?"
"What do you mean?"
"I don't understand; I make everything difficult for you and I cause trouble. I can be so confusing and strange at times. I'm a terrible person and partner...yet you still care for me. Why?"

Sitting up some, Shigaraki looks at Todoroki as if he said the most outrageous thing ever. "How could you say that, Shoto?? Your not terrible at all! And your 'strange' behavior is what makes you unique. I'd rather you be like this than be like every other boring normal person on this planet." Running his gloved and non-gloved fingers through crimson locks, Shigaraki continues on, "You are a perfect boyfriend. Just because you loose your cool sometimes doesn't make you terrible, it makes you human."

Pulling the shorter into his lap, Shigaraki brought him into a tight hug. "I know I don't say this near as much as I really should, but I love you. No matter what, i'll always love you." Todoroki sniffles, wrapping his arms around broad shoulder and crying into the material of Shiggy's heavy trench coat. Tomura's fingers trailed up through Shoto's hair, smiling as he heard his boyfriend muttering 'I love you's to him. He pressed a kiss to the top of the ice/fire user's head, Shoto was too precious for this world.
