Quinn kept her head down at school and, so far, my 'speech' seemed to be working because nobody had said a word to Quinn about her sexuality. Quinn was trying every day to be a good person and other people were being nice enough in return. I was so proud of how far she'd come and I wanted her to know that, so I arranged a surprise for her in Glee club.

'Santana, you'd like to sing for us today.'

'That's right Mr Schue. Quinn, I'm so proud of everything you've been through in your life. I know things are difficult, but I'm always so encouraged by your strength. I stood in the middle of the room and took a deep breath in.

Quinn was crying now, and as I looked at her tears started to run down my cheeks. We were home.
