"Hadley!" Donna laughed. At that specific moment, we were at her house, having a few drinks.
"I was a kid!" I replied laughing.
"You beat the crap out of someone because he looked at you?" Donna questioned, making sure she understood it.
"Yes. I didn't want the attention so I kicked the shit out of him." I shrugged.
"How old were you?" Opie asked with a laugh.
"I think I was eleven." I took another swig of beer. The kids were in bed so we began talking.
"Damn." Everyone laughed.
"My parents would have kicked my ass." Donna chuckled.
"I had dreamed of kicking the shit out of my father, so I pretended it was him." I began chuckling. "He needed a ridiculous amount of stitches. I really fucked him up."
"Damn." Jax said as they all began laughing. I just shrugged.
"Don't fuck with me. I'll fuck you up." I joked. They chuckled at me.
"You're like an angry mouse. You still look cute when you're angry." Jax commented and Donna and Opie nodded in agreeance. I rolled my eyes.
"Jerkface." I retorted. They all erupted in laughter again and I shook my head but grinned.

The next morning, I woke up on Opie and Donna's couch. The only thing was I was lying on top of Jax. I couldn't move without waking him. I looked around slowly, careful as to not wake him up. I saw Opie and Donna standing in the kitchen. I moved a little too much and began slipping off the couch. I felt Jax's arm slide around me but I still managed to hit the floor. I began laughing as Opie and Donna entered the room. Jax peered down at me from the couch and chuckled.
"Did you seriously fall off the couch?" Opie laughed.
"No. I fell off of Jax." Opie rolled his eyes playfully at me and gave me his hand and I got up. "Smart ass." Opie said quietly but it was enough that I heard it.
"I try." I said as I managed to stand on my own. Jax sat up on the couch and we went into the kitchen to see Kenny and Ellie eating their breakfasts quietly. We grabbed a cup of coffee and sat there chatting with the kids before they went off to school. I began tidying up their breakfast dishes and loading their dishwasher before Jax and I headed out for the day.
"How do you do it?" Donna asked suddenly causing Jax and Opie to look at her and then at me. I gave her a quizzical look before asking, "How do I do what?"
"The club." Donna said plainly. I saw Jax and Opie look at each other and the tense look on their faces.
"Donna, I'm not the best to ask to be honest with you. I haven't been in this for very long. I can tell you that the club has been there for me, through thick and thin. They are always there and have been a safety net for me. When my old boss did things he shouldn't have, I found strength in the club that I wouldn't have found on my own. Donna, they have had open arms for both of us since the beginning and I think you just need to embrace that." I said, pouring out every word to her, Jax, and Opie.
I saw the smile that Jax and Opie gave, making me feel happy but I also saw the look on Donna's face. She seemed like she already knew that and my response effectively ended the conversation. "Donna, you know I love you and Ope. What I have learned is that being half in and half out gets people killed. I would never ever want to see that happen to you or Ope." I saw the look in her eyes and I knew she had been told that before.
"You're not the first to say that Hadley. I can't help but wonder what life would be like without the club." She seemed ashamed.
"You know what I can tell you? You'd be miserable without me." I gave her a laugh. "I'd be dead. Nothing good ever comes from yearning for something that is not possible. The club is all Jax and Opie know and I can't imagine them without the kutte on their back." She looked like she understood but I knew there was no changing her mind.
"Please Donna. Just remember that I love you and I need you and Opie around, alright?" I said softly and she just nodded. With that, the conversation truly ended and we sat there before moving on to a different conversation.
"Hey Hadley, I don't think we've ever talked about it more than you mentioning it, but what kind of music do you like?" Donna asked with a smile. My eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas.
"I love all types of music but I primarily love metal." Opie and Jax eyed me up.
"No shit." They both said simultaneously. I chuckled at them.
"Fine, my favourite band is Motionless In White but I love Slipknot, Metallica, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Falling In Reverse, Breaking Benjamin, and Three Days Grace. I also love the classics. ACDC, Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Cinderella, and Queen. I have a soft spot for some pop music. I can't do country. It makes me wanna bash my skull in. However, I can listen to pretty much anything else." I gushed about my love for music. Donna smiled genuinely as Jax and Opie just chuckled at me.
"I kind of hate that you hate country." Donna laughed but shrugged. My phone rang and I didn't bother to look at it before answering.
"Hello?" I stood up and stretched.
"Hello, little whore sister." Jacob Hale replied.
"Why the fuck are you calling me?" I growled in pure anger.
"You told David that you'd rather kill yourself before coming to us?" He questioned me.
"Yeah I did and I'd say it again and again because I mean it." The venom could have dripped right off my teeth with the rage I was feeling.
"And now you're Jax Teller's slut? What happened to the lesbian?" I could hear the ignorance. He really didn't know.
"Shut the fuck up, you dumb cunt. And don't bring up Jax again. I don't give a shit what you say about me but Jax Teller's name stays out of your shit filled mouth." I had hoped I was clear enough.
"Whatever you say, whore. You hurt David so I expect you to make that right." He snapped.
"No. I want to be left alone by you fucking pricks. Neither of you ever gave a shit about me and now I don't give a shit about you." I paced as Jax, Opie, and Donna stared at me.
"We're not done and you're going to regret hurting David." I snorted at his comment.
"The fuck I will." I hung up and tossed my phone on the table.
"Jacob?" Donna questioned. I nodded as I tried to breathe through my rage.
"I hurt David's feelings. So, Jacob thinks I need to make that right. Fucking pussy." I snarled. "Then he proceeded to question me about being his slut." I motioned to Jax. "And then called me a lesbian. Which is whatever. I like pussy too so whatever. But are you fucking kidding me? After all this shit, I just want to be clear of their bullshit and if it's not David, it's Jacob."
"Well Darlin, you're not a slut and David needs to grow some balls. Just forget about it." Jax tried to calm me down.
"Oh babe, sorry to break it to you. I am a slut." I grinned at his questioning face. "I'm one-hundred percent your slut."
The smirk grew on his face. I grinned as Donna laughed and Opie pretended to gag.
"You be careful Opie. I might steal your wife too." I jokingly winked at him.
"DAMN!" Donna laughed hysterically. I smirked and laughed it off.
"I'm just kidding, I wouldn't steal your wife. She loves your dumbass too much." I said, laughing. Jax was just staring at me. "What?" I questioned.
"You are so hot." I started laughing even more.
"Bitch, I know." I struck a pose and then broke into more giggles.
