Third person POV
Peggy stood outside of Alex and John's dorm, playing with her hands. She let out a breath.
Cmon Peggy, you can do this.
Can I though?
Yes, it's not that hard
Easy for you to say, you don't have to do the talking.Peggy sighed.
Ok. Let's do this
Peggy was reaching towards the door when Alexander ran out of it.
"Hey Pegs. I have class, got to go bye!" Alex said quickly before running away.
Peggy laughed and waved at him as he ran. Seeing as the door was now opened she just walked in. "Hey sunflower!" John grinned and stood up when he saw Peggy walk in.
"Hey Jackie" She smiled. No matter how nervous she was John always made her smile. Peggy remembered why she was here. "So... I need... well I want... uh... I need t-to..."
John squeezed Peggy's hand. "What do you need to talk about?" He asked calmly. John knew if Peggy was getting overwhelmed he should stay calm.
Peggy took a deep breath. "Ok so you know how my dad hates me?" John nodded. "And I told you why right?" John nodded again. "W-Well that may- may not have been all the reasons"
John looked at Peggy in a slight confusion. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to" He said softly.
Peggy thought about it for a moment. "No... I should"
"Take you time, love"
(A/N: I'm sorry, is anyone else dying of fluffiness right now? Cause same)
"I'm broken" She said quickly.
John was still very confused. "What? Do you mean like mentally? Cause same, I mean I don't know anyone who's not messed up in the head. Y-"
"John!" Peggy yelled. She laughed at his rambling. "No. I mean...." she trailed off. "You won't hate me right?"
John grabbed both of her hands and force Peggy to look him in the eyes. "Margarita Schuyler, I could never hate you. Hell, you could kill someone and I'd just say it was a mistake"
"But I did kill someone" Peggy muttered, not thinking John could hear her.
"No you didn't" He responded immediately.
"I'm asexual" Peggy said quickly. She closed her eyes in fear of John's response.
John was silent for a moment. "Ok"
Peggy opened her eyes and looked at him, confused. "'Ok'? That's it? You don't like think I'm broken or strange or...?"
John made an internal note to murder whoever told Peggy that stuff. "No. I am glad you told me though, so I can make sure you're comfortable."
"Y-You're not mad though? I mean i-if we do get married like in that hypothetical situation we won't have kids"
John hugged her. "So we'll adopt, but let's focus on right now" John muttered into her hair.
Tears started to brim Peggy's eyes. "I love you so much"
———————————————————————
Peggy, Maria, and Samuel were pretty much alone in the coffee shop. No many people were in there so the trio was just talking to James, John had class so he wasn't there.
The bell for the door rang as it opened. "Hang on guys," James said. "Customer" James looked up to see the customer and his cheeks turned red.
Maria noticed his blush and turned her head to look at who walked in. She nudged Peggy and Sam to make them look too.
It was a tall, but not super tall, girl with chocolatey caramel skin. She had bronze eye, fluffy hair, red tinted checks, full pink lips, and light colored freckles painted around her nose and under her eyes. She was wearing a lavender, shoulder-less crop top, a gray choker, and rhinestoned black leggings.
"She's gorgeous" James whispered.
"Who is that?" James asked slightly louder, making sure Samuel, Peggy, and Maria heard him."Dolley Payne" Sam answered. "She's my choreography class"
Peggy looked at her for a moment. "She looks familiar"
"You've probably seen her in passing" Maria pointed out.
"Well yeah, but she seems like I actually know her..."
"Hey!" Dolley said reaching the counter.
James blushed more. Maria, Peggy, and Samuel went to go sit down and watch James and Dolley.
"H-Hi" James stuttered. "What would you like?"
Dolley smiled. "Can I get a medium mocha frappe?"
"Is that all?" James asked, clenching his hands to try not to freak out over how pretty she was.
"Yep! Also you are rocking that skirt" Dolley winked and sat down at a table.
James's entire face turned red. He made her drink in a daze of shock. He gave Dolley the drink and receipt. Dolley walked out before James could say another word to her.
"Well that happened" He muttered.
"James you got her number!" Peggy cheered.
"I what?!"
Samuel picked up a small piece of paper from the counter and handed it to him. "You got her number"
Maria laughed. "She also said you looked good in the skirt so I call her a keeper"
James opened the note. It said, "919-553-2131
- Dolley"Hey y'all!!! That's what Dolley looks like in this.
The second half of this chapter and the drawing literally only happened because we were talking about Dolley and James Madison yesterday in History class so I wanted to add her in here.Anyway I don't have much else to say so thanks for reading and have a good day/night!
