They continued to hold each other...resting on their knees in the middle of the airport...the nightmare was over...but they weren't ready to let each other go...Derek helped Meredith stand to her feet and looked into her beautiful green eyes...tenderly stroking her cheek...

Derek: (sighs)...It was a mix up...somebody elses's jet...those poor people and their families
Meredith: I know...but boy that's a pretty huge mix up...how could someone be so incompetent...careless...that was really cruel?
Derek: I know it...but technically they didn't give any names...we just assumed...still somebody's ass is getting fired...I'll make sure of that...
Meredith: (smiles)...So the band's ok huh?
Derek: (smiles)...Yeah...they're ok...thank God.
Meredith: (kisses his hands)...And so are you...and the twins...everything is ok...
Derek: (sighs)...I thought I lost you...
Meredith: (sighs)...I know...same here...(puts his hand over her heart)...my heart is still pounding...

Derek cupped her face in his hands and covered her lips with his for a sweet kiss that quickly deepened the more they realized just how lucky they were to still be in each other's arms after all that just happened...he finally pulled away from her soft lips...leaving them both breathless...and looked into her sparkling eyes with so much love and adoration...

Meredith: (smiles)...That didn't help at all...my heart is still pounding...
Derek: (smiles)...Mine too...I love you so much baby...
Meredith: I love you too...

They were just about to resume their heated kiss when the final boarding call sounded for the commercial flight to Nigeria...

Derek: Looks like we still have a plane to catch...
Meredith: Yeah...but not that one...we're already late...do you want to see if Izzie can bring the twins?
Derek: (smiles)...Ahhh...very tempting but I think I'll let them stay put...better leave good enough alone...
Meredith: (smiles)...Wow...I'm impressed...
Derek: (smiles)...Me too...(kisses her softly on the lips)...Are you ok with this? Getting on the jet I mean...
Meredith: (sighs)...No...but I don't think we have a choice...we both have important commitments...
Derek: (hugs her tight)...Yeah...but why is it that I want to just sit her and hold you in my arms forever?
Meredith: (grins)...You can hold me on the jet...naked...
Derek: (grins)...Let's go...

They managed to peel themselves out of each other's arms and head for the private jet hangar...Derek stole loving glances at Meredith along the way...holding her hand in his as they walked along the airport...she met his twinkling blue eyes...so filled with happiness and relief...Derek thought about how the day could have ended very differently for both of them...Meredith noticed the joy in his eyes soon quickly turn to sadness...

Meredith: You ok baby?

The sight of the wreckage and the bold words at the bottom of the screen kept flashing through his mind...the thought of never being able to kiss her...hold her...or make love to her ever again gave rise to a sense of urgency in him that was beyond words...he suddenly veered right and pulled Meredith along with him towards the men's room with her sundress flowing behind her...

Meredith: Derek?
Derek: Uhuh?
Meredith: (grins)...What are you doing?

He turned to look at her as they stepped into the men's room...the sadness in his blue eyes had disappeared...replaced by a dark passion that made her body immediately become hot and flushed...she knew that look...that look meant business...her pussy began to throb at the thought of what was to come...

Derek: (eyes dark)...What does it look like I'm doing?
Meredith: (pants)...What about the jet?
