Narrator POV:

Any single student which attends Hogwarts will say that in the past Defence against the dark arts was usually in the top five subject wise but teachers always let it down. However, this year you could ask any student that was not Draco Malfoy or his goons and they would say that D.A.D.A was their favourite subject and Professor Lupin was their favourite teacher.

Today's lesson Lupin planned to use a boggart with each student which would show that students deepest fear and teach them to fight against it. Neville Longbottom's deepest fear was Professor Snape sad when you think about it and Ron's which comes as no surprise to his friends was a huge spider.

Aurora's POV:

I could not stop the big belly laugh that made its way past my lips after seeing Ron's face when he saw the spider though he did well casting the appropriate spell showing a proud smile when he made his way past the line of people to the back of the room.

There I stood at the front of the classroom the laughter coming to a halt and the smile which was on my face becoming serious as I couldn't help but wonder what the boggart would turn into for me. It twisted a black and gray mass into a ball creating a breeze of wind and out came, my father?

"I can't stand to look at you Aurora from the day I lost your mother it is like you morphed into a younger version of her. I look at you and I see her and that feeling of knowing your here and she isn't pains me why do you deserve to be here and she doesn't? I want to turn my back on you and forget you ever existed can't you see that's what I'm doing already?" His words spit like venom enunciating every letter of each word to clarify his point. Though I wanted to believe it was only a fear and not true I knew deep down it was true although my father would never admit it I knew. It hit me in a split second. My emotions were placed into a whirlpool and the tears began slowly making their way down my face as whispered the counter spell, "ridiculous," the result was my father wearing a circus ring masters outfit.

My feet took me quickly out of the classroom completely embarrassed my head hung low to avoid everyone's gaze as I burst through the door and ran down the corridor to a quiet nook I knew about which overlooked the quidditch pitch. I sat down bringing my knees close to my body and began sobbing quietly my mind replying the words the boggart spoke.

"Aurora are you okay? Oh goodness of course your not come here," Chloe Sallow quite possibly my best friend beside Hermione baring the emerald robes came running to sit beside me clutching me close to her and rubbing my back soothingly. She like Draco, Ron, Ginny and the twins knew about the issues with my father and though Harry and Hermione knew something had happened with my father they never asked and I was always grateful for that.

Narrator POV:

Draco respected every teacher at Hogwarts even if be didn't particularly like them but he couldn't understand what Lupin what was he thinking. He didn't care if they were loosely related anger coursed through his veins as he was fighting an internal battle with a beast who wanted to beat up a teacher. A teacher who hurt Aurora. His Aurora.

"You'd think asking your 14 year old students to face their deepest fears is maybe a bit too far bet you would have protected Potter if it was his boggart since he's the golden child who gets special treatment. Bloody ridiculous." Draco spoke and quickly Lupin began apologising to the class stating they would continue at a later date. Draco on the other hand barged his way past the crowd to the door on a mission to find Aurora. Hearing voices at the end of the corridor he followed it finally approaching Aurora who was in the arms of her friend Chloe sobbing. The sound of her struggling to catch her breath because of the tears escaping her ocean eyes made him want to march into Lupin's classroom and hex him.

"Sallow," Draco nodded his head in her direction a silent conversation taking place as she squeezed Aurora tighter before loosening her arms completely and standing up.

"I will come find you later missy," she smiled before turning to Draco and then whispering, "Goodbye Malfoy please look after her,"

"Of course," He replied like it was obvious before sitting down next to Aurora and bring her close for a hug. They proceeded to remain like that for twenty minutes while she calmed down then spending another forty minutes talking about anything and nothing. Soon they decided it would be best to make their way to the great hall for dinner. On their way they bumped into a flustered Professor Lupin who couldn't properly begin to explain his apologies which Aurora being Aurora smiled and told him not to worry and not to apologise. While Draco thought to himself that he should be lucky he was not ten years older for he would not have hesitated to pummel him into the ground.

Aurora's POV:

Joining the trio at dinner lead to having to explain to Harry and Hermione my parents pasts and what had happened since my mothers passing. Hermione and Harry shared the same saddened expression my way which I told them both to stop being so silly laughing the matter off like it was nothing. Half an hour into dinner the great halls door burst open and marching to where I sat was a furious Freddie.

"I've heard everything that happened in your Defence against the dark arts lesson and I've already owled mother how are you lot not furious!" He exclaimed he was clearly out of breath from running from the owlry and that mixed with anger didn't pair well. His chest was heaving up and down, cheeks flushed a shade of red and nose flared as he tried desperately to catch his breath.

"Its okay Freddie don't get Lupin into trouble for nothing it was a simple mistake he could have never known." I smiled at him nudging him slightly in a light heated way before he too smiled.

"Okay I will owl her in the morning and tell her not to worry as long as your okay?" I nodded as to confirm that I was in fact okay, facing Ron I couldn't help but notice behind him Draco who looked quite angrily in my direction. Once he noticed my confused gaze he quickly looked away muttering something to Blaise before he too looked in my direction laughing at whatever Draco said. The night drew to a close and I was far too exited to get into bed exhaustion taking over my body.
