Narrator's POV:

The first trial of the tournament came much quicker than most expected, somehow all the contestants had managed to stay alive in the fight against their dragons, Harry Potter included. Once Harry returned to the common room with all of Gryfindor Ron finally decided to apologize and exchange a very awkward hug. Hermione and Aurora couldn't help the grateful sighs that left their lips when they saw the boys hug running to tackle them both into a group hug. Now if your thinking about Aurora and Draco well they did makeup slightly but the tension between the pair the last month is nothing but out of the ordinary and everyone had noticed even Ron asked her what had happened. Aurora didn't tell the truth of course.

It was now the beginning of December and Dumbledore announced that on Christmas Eve there would be a ball. The Yule Ball. It hadn't even been a week and at least 50% of the students both internal and external had found dates to attend it with. Each week for an hour until the ball the heads of houses would be teaching each year group to dance formally. Today was Friday and it was the fourth years day to get taught by Professor McGonagall their first ever lesson and it fell at the very last period of the day.

Aurora's POV:

I had a free period before the dance lesson, not particularly feeling like being around anyone, I decided to go to the old oak tree. Sitting down and pulling out my care of magical creatures book I spent the hour picking out the key points before scribbling them down on some spare parchment. Time seemed to fly by and before I knew it I found myself walking through the courtyard to get to the great hall only to be halted in my tracks by someone calling my name.

"Aurora," Milan exclaimed smiling as he walked closer to me.

"Oh hello, Millan you okay?" I replied.

"I am great I was actually wondering with the Yule Ball coming up would you maybe want to go together?" As he asked the question my heartbeat increased, my eyes drifting behind Milan to Draco. He had just jumped down from the oak tree in the courtyard to join a conversation between Blaise, Theo, and Pansy. It was not the gesture of him jumping down that caught me off guard no it was the arm that made its way around Pansy's shoulders and it made my blood boil.

"What was I thinking I knew you would already have a dat-" "No! I mean no I don't and I would love to accompany you." Slightly raising my voice in the beginning I caught myself before continuing and the grin that beamed from his face showed his happiness. Mistake one of the day.

"Brilliant! Where are you going now I would like to accompany you?" He questioned.

"Dance lessons," I giggled, he opened his arm to show me to lead the way and he accompanied me to the great hall. Reaching the doors which were wide open most of my year group had clearly arrived walking backward into the hall I waved bye to Milan. Not before seeing Draco march in alongside Blaise making a point to knock his shoulder against Milan causing me to turn and face the direction I was walking, an annoyed huff escaping my lips before joining the trio.

Professor McGonagall began droning on about how she didn't want anyone in the year embarrassing any of the house names by our inability to dance In all honesty I wasn't particularly paying attention, all I heard was her saying something about us acting like "a babbling bumbling band of buffoons," shortly after that she managed to drag Ron to dance with her. To say, Harry, Hermione, and I were hysterically laughing was an understatement.

Our joy was cut short when she gestured us to pair off Harry and I went in a pair and Ron and Hermione went dancing next to us. When I spotted Draco's blond locks and noticed he was dancing with Chloe a blanket of worry covered me though when she noticed me looking their way she sent me a reassuring smile that told me not to worry. Merlin, what was she planning?

Suddenly, Harry brought me back to reality asking me about Milan and what was actually happening between us which I responded that he had asked me to the ball. Mistake two of the day. Professor McGonagall told us to switch partners and that meant I had Ron and Harry had Hermione, while Ron and I were having a general conversation Harry was telling Hermione what I had told him. Ten minutes later when I had to swap back to Harry it took seconds until I heard Ron scream "You what? Really? Aurora is it true?" I instantly found myself silently begging for him to shut up but if you know Ron Weasley he is Hogwarts biggest blabbermouth.

"You are going to the Yule Ball with Milan Knox?" I cursed myself for telling Harry but the statement caused the whole hall to draw their eyes on me including Draco.

"Well?" I heard Neville ask from across the room causing a sigh to escape my lips before I nodded. The third mistake I should have kept quiet. The rest of that hour went by slower than a snail traveling.

The instant Professor McGonagall dismissed us I found myself practically running in an attempt to run from Draco who I hadn't the courage to even glance at feeling his eyes boring into my head the entire lesson from that point. It seemed I had some luck because I made it to my dorm unscathed, deciding to get changed for dinner into a turtleneck, cropped, beige jumper and some flared leggings.

Leaving the common room Hermione met me and we made our way to the great hall chatting about Astronomy homework to pass the time. Finally, sitting down for food I enjoyed the content atmosphere around our group as we all ate silently. Half an hour into the meal the doors to the great hall burst open revealing a fuming Draco Malfoy still in his uniform without his robes and tie. I glanced at him with my peripheral vision noticing him stalking towards me.

"Aurora, I need to talk to you about potions," He stated halting next to me and I couldn't help the thoughts of his arm around Pansy come to mind.

"Well why don't you go ask Pugface?" I nodded to the girl sitting at the Slytherin table a harsh tone in my voice before continuing," Oh wait you can't because that bitch only has two brain cells to rub together," I spat.

"Aurora I need your help so I need to talk to you." He stated slightly calmer but the look in his eyes told me differently.

"Shove off Malfoy she clearly doesn't want to talk to you," Ron replied with a mouth full of food.

"Why don't you learn to swallow your food before you talk to me Weaslebee!" Draco exclaimed.

"If you need help with potions I suggest you politely ask Hermione for help considering she is at the top of the class and your second and I am at the bottom with Seamus so I would be useless," I growled in response angry that he had insulted Ron. Mistake number four.

"Why the hell are you going to the ball with Milan?" Draco leaned down to my height whispering in my ear so only I could hear.

"Because you are too embarrassed to tell anyone about us but it's okay for you to flirt with Pugface," I whispered harshly in responce.

"Fuck it," He mumbled, "Wha-" I tried to question him before he roughly grabbed my chin the cold of his rings causing me to flinch but that was wiped off my mind the second his lips were on mine. I couldn't help but futter my eyes closed and return the feverish kiss forgetting we were surrounded by prying eyes. He pulled away in seconds an amused smirk on his face looking at my friends who held the same shocked expression.

"Shocked Granger? Bet even the smartest witch in the school didn't see that coming," He chuckled to himself before leaning back down to my height and placing another kiss on my lips," Mine... sick of these boys thinking they have a chance with my girlfriend." He growled before sending a wink my way and going to join Blaise at the table.

"What the bloody hell just happened?" Ron asked completely dumbfounded.

"Aurora why the fuck you are dating Malfoy he is the enemy we tolerated you being friends but this is a line you have crossed the line!" Harry exclaimed which he earned a nod in response from Ron and as he continued to lecture me about my poor choices being joined by Ron and Hermione who kept agreeing with him I grew frustrated.

"Oh fuck off Harry my love life is non of your concern you should be more bothered about the fact you could die in the next trial since your too stupid to figure out the egg!" I yelled getting up from my seat and walking out of the hall.
