Narrator's POV:

The Slug club consisted of the brightest of the bunch but not only the brightest the ones Slughorn wanted to target to be their favorite teacher. To be on his wall. The Professor wanted to host a party to celebrate the new year immediately, Harry Potter was invited and he chose Luna as his plus one not thinking to chose Hermione and not wanting to chose Aurora due to the pairs constant arguments. Hermione was invited too choosing Cormac as her plus one to annoy Ron or so she thought. Blaise had been one of the last in their year group to be picked and though he originally chose Luna he understood why she went with Harry and picked Aurora instead.

Slughorn chose one of the huge rooms on the 6th floor to host his party hiring waiters and a band to entertain. Aurora had picked out a silk emerald gown that had a slit up the leg and hugged her waist till it met her hips and flowed elegantly down her legs. When Blaise picked her up outside her common room he complimented her knowing she was beautiful but knowing that his Luna would always be more beautiful. He extended his arm for her to hook herself on and the pair walked through the corridors a pleasant conversation flowing through them until they entered the party.

Aurora's POV:

Blaise decided to leave my side to find Luna and see how she was doing so I made my way to the drinks table only to catch Hermione looking as though she was ready to pitch herself off the Astronomy tower due to Cormac getting a little too close for comfort. I immediately made my way over to the pair distracting Cormac in a conversation to give Hermione room to escape. He droned on about his family and his grades clearly trying in some way to impress me though he couldn't have bored me more if he tried. Thankfully, a commotion stopped everyone at the party when Filtch Brought Draco into the room by his collar yelling that he had found him loitering around the room. Draco was then escorted out of the room by Snape and from the corner of my eye, I saw Harry go to follow them so I quickly excused myself from the conversation with Cormac.

Swiftly, I kicked off my heels picking them up off the stone floor so that I could be as silent as Harry in his pursuit feeling the ice-cold floor under my bare feet made me let out a squeal but I pushed the thought to the back of my mind. I stealthily followed behind Harry until he came to a stop at a corner peering his head around it to look at Draco and Snape who had halted in their tracks.

"Harry what are you doin-" I began my voice as quiet as a mouse until his head snapped in my direction and he put his finger in front of his lips in a shushing motion before he beckoned me with his had to stand next to him and watch the conversation unfold.

"I don't need your help he tasked me to do this," Draco hissed to Snape as he roughly pulled himself from the teacher's grasp.

"Draco let me help you, must you be reminded that it isn't your life in danger if this isn't done correctly it is hers," Snape snapped and Harry knitted his eyebrows together.

"Don't you think I know that I wouldn't care if his threats were to me," The anger was evident in Draco's voice but his face showed a different emotion he was terrified?

"You told your mother and me that you would stay away from her to protect her yet I still see you with her all the time Draco," Was that worry in Snape's voice? As much as I hated to admit it were they talking about me?

"She's safer when I know where she is and what she's doing, I'd never put her in danger!" Draco exclaimed.

"If he thinks that she is a distraction to you Draco he will not hesitate to kill her you need to end things with the poor girl she is in danger every minute longer that you take to do your task," Snape's voice no longer held and understanding tone he was demanding Draco to end things with me to protect me.
