Chapter 31- Yule Ball Prep

The Yule ball preperations have started.

Now that the first task is out of the way, everyone is now focusing on the Yule Ball that is a massive dance that is a tradition that comes with hosting the Tri-Wizard Tournament and it is held on Christams day so what could be more magical right. I however wasn't thinking of anything other than the information that I recieved from Regan last night and how exactly I was going to go round dealing with the situation and then the more I thought about it the angrier I got. It was the weekend, Regan and I was sitting on the bench just like we always do, it's peaceful and nice to get outside and have some fresh air in us. I turn to Regan and say "Reegs, would you be mad at me if I was to go and fine Taehyung and speak to him about all this because it's not fair on you to have to take all the brunt for us helping Cedric out for the first task, I'm going to try and convince him not to continue all this and allow you to not go to the ball with him." she shook her head "of course I won't be mad Linds, just don't get yourself into any trouble." I laughed because she knows me too well. I stood up leaving Regan on a bench in the gardens.  I was going to find Cedric and Taehyung, they were usually hanging out together around this time on the weekends,  I needed this to be sorted right now. It didn't take me long to find them laughing and joking. Cedric spotted me an smiled, my heart fluttered but my anger soon grew as Taehyung turned to look at me. Cedric's smile dropped as I yelled and stormed down the corridor towards them."Who the hell do you think you are! How dare you blackmail Regan again, you told me you was going to fix thing not make them a million times worse. How was I so stupid to believe you." I shoved Taehyung and he hid behind Cedric. I was so mad I couldn't control myself, I wanted to strangle him but Cedric held me back, "Lindsey what's happened?" Cedric's voice was laced with worry.
"He's done it again. He's hurt Regan again. How can you be friends with such an arsehole?" He looked at me in disbelief. Holding my hand before turning to Taehyung. Cedric frowned at him and Taehyung eyes darted back and forth between Cedric and l." what did Regan say to you?" I could tell he already knew what he had done but I couldn't help but shout at him. "You piece of shit. You blackmailed her into going to the Yule ball!" I turned to Cedric to explain, I was so angry I started to shake "He's threatened her by saying that if she doesn't do what he wants he'll get us expelled" Cedric asked him if this was true, Taehyung gulped before his voice shakily said "Okay I know it sounds really really bad but please trust me, it's all part of my plan."

His eyes pleaded with me but I couldn't just let him carry on like it's okay to do that to Regan. "I'm not listening to you. I trusted you before and played dumb to my best friend so you can execute this so called plan of yours. She is afraid of what you'll do next. She's so scared of you, and now she's force to go to the ball with you. Well that's not happening. She's not going anywhere near you ever again Taehyung." I turned and started to head back to Regan but Cedric stopped me knowing that this conversation wasn't over just yet. Cedric lifted my chin up so I'd look at him, he asked me to at least see if we can solve this civilly. I know this would most likely turn into making him choose between his friends and his girlfriend, I couldn't do that to him. Cedric lead me back to where Taehyung was standing. "Cedric please convince Lindsey to trust me. You know me. I know it all sounds bad now but I swear the night of the ball I will fix everything." They stared at each other for a moment. Having a silent conversation. Cedric sighs and turned to me once again.
"Lindsey I've known Taehyung a long time. He's a little unconventional but I believe him. Although I'm also unhappy with the way he's chosen to do this."

"What can I do? Right now to make you trust me." Taehyung sounded sincere, if he was pretending then he's a good actor.
"Look Regan's waiting for me in the gardens. She's hoping that I'll stop you going to the ball with her and leave her alone... I can't exactly go back and say that nothing's changed and myself and Cedric are letting you do this." There was a long moment of silence as all three of us tried to think of a way around this that won't course anymore pain.
