Chapter 77- Saving lives

Lindsey's POV

After saying goodbye to Snape and we made sure he was comfortable, we made our way back up the stairs and through the courtyard. Devastation surrounded us, collapsed buildings, blood everywhere and bodies of those who have fallen. I didn't even want to think about what friends have been hurt or killed or even if Draco was alive. We walked into the great hall to see bodies of the fallen and injured everywhere,it was horrible to see. We walked all the way to the end where the Weasley were crowded over a few bodies.I held my breath as we moved closer praying no one was seriously hurt or dead, I walked closer to find that Fred, Professor Lupin and Tonks were all barely alive, I rushed forward grabbing my potion bag, trying to find anything that could help them. I was getting stressed and upset because I didn't have a clue on what to do to help them. I then felt a hand on my shoulder "Linds, breath, why don't we give the potions bag to Madam Pompfrey, she'll know how to help them and I'm sure she would appreciate the supplies" I nodded my head before standing up and walking over to Madam Pompfrey, " please take this, inside is potions, supplies and things that you may be able to use to help these people" Once I rejoined the others, hugging Mrs Weasley, I noticed that Harry had disappeared. There was only one place that we could think of where he could have gone and that was the forest, why would he go alone. Ron, Hermione,Regan and I left the great hall allowing those that needed to be treated to get the treatment. We sat down on the stairs thinking about Harry and mourning his death which is definitely coming, that was the deal. Then as if she sensed a presence Hermione turns. Harry is walking down the stairs towards us. Instantly we jumped up and ran to him.
"Where've you been?" Hermione said. Ron followed on by saying "We thought you'd gone to the
forest, we thought you might be" but was cut off with Harry saying "I'm going there now."
"Are you mad! No!" Ron quickly said back.
"It's... meant to be." Harry said while continuing down the stairs "Rubbish! You can't just give
yourself up to him" Hermione squeezes Ron's arm, silencing him. Harry stops walking causing us all to become worried, "What is it, Harry? What is it you
know?" I said to him finally finding a voice in the situation.
Regan studies my face, then looks back to Harry.

Harry goes on to explain "There's a reason I can... hear
them -- the Horcruxes". Hermione begins to shake her head, not wanting to believe. Harry simply nods, touches the centre of his chest. "I think I've known for a while." He was now looking at us all. "I think you've known too."
He said looking directly at Hermione, Ron, Regan and I all confused on what he was talking about. Hermione now slightly crying "I'll go with you. I'll", She falters hopelessly as a single tear traces her cheek.

Harry turned to look at us all and said "Kill the snake. Kill the snake and then it's just him. Then it will be over." All of us knew what we needed to do and what Harry needed to do. Hermione, Regan and I gave him a hug as this was the last time we would see him.He turns then, leaving them. Us watching every step he takes until he reaches the end... and is gone.

We didn't have time to mope around even though we knew our friend was about to die, we needed to get moving and find a way off killing the snake that never leaves his side. We made our way back to the great hall to tell the others what the plan was and to tell them to be prepared for the worst and when we walked in I saw the best sight of those that were previously injured now sitting or standing, my supplies worked. I was even happier to see that Lupin, Tonks and Fred were up on their feet, I didn't waste any time in running to Fred and giving him a huge hug, I have so much love for the twins. I also turned to hug Lupin and Tonks. " I must thank you Lindsey, without that potion and supplies bag of yours, we wouldn't have made it and neither would our baby, so thanks to you we will get to watch our child grow" I smiled at her and gave her another hug before taking a few steps back. I hadn't noticed that I was slightly rubbing my belly until Mrs Weasley came over to me " are you alright love, you look a little pale" I nodded " yes I'm alright just a little nervous and scared of what's about to come".

Regan's PoV

Mrs Weasley gave Lindsey a reassuring pat on the back before checking on Ron. I could see Lindsey was taken back by what Tonks had just shared. "You good?" I slyly tugged Lindsey away a couple of steps from the group."Yeah , just with the crazy past few hours I forgot about it. Tonks just reminded me. It's weird right?" Lindsey put a hand on her stomach again. "Yeah it's weird, they'll be the same age too." I thought out loud .
"Didn't think about that." Lindsey's attention then moved to the end of the hall. I looked in that direction to see Taehyung and Draco headed our way. We both let out a sigh of relief that they had made it through the first part of the battle. Both look disheveled with messy hair and ripped clothes. They both must have been in quite a rough fight. Before they could reach us George noticed the dark marks on their forearms.
"You two leave right now." George growled angrily. Pointing his wand at Taehyung and Draco. Both their faces filled with shock and worry."What are you doing?" Professors Lupin stepped in but also noticed the Dark mark showing beneath their rolled up sleeves. "Should have known you two would become Death Eaters. Just like your parents." Lupin also pulled out his wand and other students and teachers did too surrounding them.

"Don't!" Lindsey and I pushed past everyone and stood in front of our boys. Tae held the back of my shirt as soon as I was in front of him.  "They aren't with them. They are on our side." Lindsey tried to convince the Professor.
"Don't be ridiculous. They both bear the dark mark. They both betrayed everyone under this roof the second it appeared on their arms."
"You don't understand Professor they've been undercover. Helping us. without them we wouldn't have got out safely from Bill and Fluers wedding. For the past 4 months they've protected us, let us know of any plans, ambushes, attacks, anything You know who was up too. Without them Harry , Ron , Hermione, Lindsey and myself would be dead. Please put your wands down. They've both been through enough, they are on our side and always have been." I pleaded. I could feel Taehyung's hand shaking slightly though his grip. Professor Lupin thankfully lowered his wand slowly causing everyone to do the same and go back to their business.
"You two are very lucky to have these ladies by your side. Make sure you rest up, it will start again soon." We thanked Lupin and he walked over to Tonks.

"Thank you" Taehyung sighed and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close to him. I smiled and turned around in his grip so I could see his face. It looked like he'd taken a few punches to the face , his eyebrow was split open and a cut ran up the side of his head.
"You don't need to thank me, it's all true Tae." I put my hands round the back of his neck and pulled him down so I could kiss him. He went to resist because of everyone being around us but soon gave in.
"Oy oy." Fred cheekily yelled out. Before I could turn around and scold him we heard a familiar cackling laugh from outside.
