It was time, I had to leave Draco and allow him to go off and complete his task. He needed to head to the Room of Requirements to let the others through the vanishing cabinet. I told him that I would be in the tower waiting for him so he knows I'm there. On the walk there I debated turning around and walking back to the common room but I couldn't do that to Draco, he needed my support. I managed to sneak in and make my way up to the top and found myself a little hiding spot a level below the top. Just as I situated myself and stood in a place where I could hear everything I heard two voices, one belonging to Professor Dumbledore and the other Harry. Harry wasn;t meant to get caught up in this nor was he supposed to be here. Just as I was about to make myself know there was a noise of a door opening. I took a deep breath just as Harry made his way down to the level I was on, praying to myself that he doesn't see me. I had a view of everything above me and I could see Draco coming into view with his wand up, Pointed at Albus.

Draco's POV

After I left Lindsey and let the other in through the passage I made my way to the tower, as I was ascending the stairs I could hear talking. I reached the top and held my wand towards Albus. He said "Good evening, Draco. What brings you here on this fine spring evening?" to which I responded with "Who else is here? I heard you talking."

"I often talk aloud to myself. I find it extraordinarily useful. Have you always been to yourself, Draco? Draco, you are no assassin." Who was he to talk to me about who I am?

"How do you know what I am? I've done things that would shock you."

"Oh, like cursing Katie Bell and hoping that in return she would bear a cursed necklace to me? Like replacing a bottle of mead with one lace with poison. Forgive me, Draco, I cannot help feeling these actions are so weak that your... heart can't really have been in."

"He trusts me. I was chosen." I then pulled up my sleeve and showed him the dark mark on my left arm. Dumbledore pulls out his wand and says "I shall make it easy for you."

"Expelliarmus!" I yell, taking the wand out of his hand. "Very good. Very good." The doors open to allow others in "You're not alone. There are others. How?" He asked me,and I responded with  "The Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement. I've been mending it." "Let me guess, it has a sister."

"A twin. In Borgin and Burkes. They form a passage." How did he know so much "Ingenious''? Draco, years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you, Please don't make the same mistakes as him, think about Lindsey"

"Don't mention her name, she has nothing to do with this. Don't you understand? I have to do this. I have to kill you. Or he's gonna kill me." My heart shattered having to say that especially with Lindsey listening. Auntie Bell and the others had joined us now.

"Well, look what we have here. Well done, Draco." She patted me on the shoulder.

A"Good evening, Bellatrix. I think introductions are in order, don't you?"

"Love to, Albus, but I'm afraid we're on a bit of a tight schedule. Do it!" One of the other followers said "He doesn't have a stomach. Just like his father. Let me finish him in my own way."

"No, the Dark Lord was clear that the boy had to do it. This is your moment, Draco. Do it! Go on, Draco, now!"

Lindsey's POV

I didn't want to watch this or stay in the room but I knew I couldn't leave now. Bellatrix was pushing Draco to do it but he just couldn't and I could see it. Luckily enough Professor Snape walked up the stairs pointing his wand at Albus.

"No." He said making his presence known.

"Severus. Please…" Dumbledore begged, I closed my eyes knowing those were his last words.

"Avada Kedavra" I opened my eyes to see Dumbledore falling backwards out of the window. Tears fell from my eyes and I dropped to the floor longing for someone to hold me and make things better but it never came.He was dead. He was gone.

I let the others leave and make their escape before making my way down to where Dumbledore had fallen. A crowd had started to gather. As I walked through the crowd to get closer I could hear quiet sobs from fellow students.I stood at the front just as I was joined by Regan and the others, Regan grabbed my hand instantly and pulled me into a hug. I sobbed on her shoulder as she did on mine.I pulled away and watched Harry walk towards the body that laid still in front of us. We stood around before joining together holding up our wands producing a ball of light towards the sky in memory and honour of our late Headmaster. We stood like this for hours, until we knew it was time to get some rest. I wanted to know Draco was ok, I knew I wasn't going to be seeing him anytime soon or be hearing from him. I was happy that in the end he wasn't the one to kill Dumbledore.

Things were never going to be the same around the school and defiantly between our friendship group, especially when the others find out about my relationship with Draco and the fact that I knew about Dumbledore being killed.

School was put on hold as Dumbledore's untimely death came at the end of the school term. We were all heading home tomorrow so we decided to make the most of the quite and found ourselves sitting in an astronomy tower. I was sitting next to Regan and Ron when Hermione spoke up next to Harry."Do you think he would have done it? Draco." My heart stopped at the mention of his name, Regan must have noticed this as she grabbed my hand and gave it a light squeeze.

"No. No, he was lowering his wand. In the end, it was Snape. It was always Snape. It’s fake. Open it." He handed over a locket to Hermeione. She opened it up and read out what was said inside "‘To the Dark Lord: I know I will be dead long before you read this but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more. R.A.B.’ I stood up and joined them asking "R.A.B.?"

Harry's response was "Don't know. But whoever they are, they have the real Horcrux. It means it was all a waste. All of it."

The coversation quickly changed and I wasn't exactly in the mood to listen to it so I took my seat next to Regan.

"Ron's okay with you, you know. You and Ginny. If I were you when he's around, I'd keep snogging to a minimum." I soon started to listen when Harry said "I'm not coming back, Hermione. I got to finish whatever Dumbledore started. And I don't know where that'll leave me, but I'll let you and Ron know where I am... when I can." Regan stood up, grabbed my hand and walked over to Harry "I've always admired your courage, Harry. But sometimes, you can be really thick. You don't really think you're going to be able to find all those Horcruxes by yourself, do you? You need us, Harry." Ron had now joined us showing Harry that we were all in this together.

We stood facing out to the lake taking in the view.

"I never realised how beautiful this place was."
