Chapter 29- I love a Blackmail

I woke up the next day remembering that I had to find Ced and tell him about the first task so he could do research, well I mean all of us but no one else can know that. I'm going to try and find him before lessons at breakfast but if not I know where he might be so I guess I'm going on a wild goose chase aroung the school today. During breakfast I couldn't find Ced so it was now lunch and I was heading to the one place the I knew he would be and that's the courtyard with his friends. I walk with my robes in my hands and bag on my shoulder up to the bench where I see Cedric lying down surrounded by his friends laughing away at something. I arrive at the bench and the laughing stops Ced looks up at me realises it's me jumps up and kisses my forhead and hugs me "hi to you too Ced, can I talk to you for a minute please?" he looked around at his friends but shrugged in agreement. We took a few steps away from where he was before, Cedric looked at me like I was about to tell him something important or worrying, "whats the matter Sweetheart, is everything ok?" I smiled letting him know nothing was wrong "Everything is fine, it's about the first task, It's Dragons, there is one for each champion, not really sure what the full task will be but I know it will involve Dragons, Harry found out last night" Cedric had a look of disbelief like he wasn't sure what I had just told him was real, "are you sure Sweetheart,how did Harry manage to find that out? I nodded my head in response "yes I'm sure, Hagrid took him the forest where they are keeping them until the first task, you obviously can't share where you got the information from, we will be helping you and Harry do as much research on Dragon as we can but no one can know" I said the last bit in a panicked tone. Cedric hugs me and thanks me for sharing the infromation with him and tells me that we should do some research in the Library just the two of us somewhat as a date, I kissed him goodbye before heading to my next lesson.Later that night we found oursleves around a table surrounded by any book that we could get our hands on that had anything to do with Dragons in, we was flipping through the pages and making notes of anything we though might be handy to know when facing Dragons. It was getting late so we all decided to pack up and head back to the common rooms before breaking curfew. We spent most of our free time in the Library reading books and taking notes and today was no different, Regan and I had a free period before lunch so we took this time along with homework to see if there was anything in these books we may have missed. The free period was over just as quickly as it has started, so I packed away the books and my parchment paper filled with notes....

Regan's POV

"Reeg's I'm heading to lunch are you ready." Lindsey's voice broke me away from my studies.
"Umm I think I am going to finish up this chapter. I think it might be useful. Should be 20-30 minutes." I watched Lindsey pack up her books.
"Alright , I'll tell Hermione you'll be late. See you down there." I waved Lindsey goodbye and finished up my chapter. The library was getting quieter as people headed to lunch. I was helping Lindsey look for ways to help Cedric and Harry through the upcoming games. Technically you aren't allowed to help but we try to be sneaky about it.

I wrote a few notes on some scrap piece of scroll, then shoved the paper into my pocket. I'll let Lindsey know what I found out later. I picked up the heavy book I was reading and headed to the back of the library where I had found the book. The light was dimmer the further back into the shelves you go. Looking up to find the gap where the book had come from, i huffed as I put it back due to the weight of the book. Dusting my hands off I went to turn and head to the Great Hall. But I was dragged backwards with a hand over my mouth and an arm around my waist.

I struggled against the tight grip as I was dragged deeper into the back of the library. I yelled and kicked but nothing worked till the person holding me suddenly stopped against a window. I was breathing so heavily I thought I was going to pass out.
