Chapter 60- Alliance

Taehyung's POV

It was way too early for me, long before anyone would be up for breakfast. The birds are only just starting the chirping. Why does Draco have to sneak around so early in the morning. I've been following him for a few days now. His schedule is all over the place. I have no idea why Lindsey likes him, he's so shifty, cautious and the complete opposite to her.

The reason I've been sneaking after him is over Christmas my father had mentioned the Malfoy family being so high up in the pecking order, that he wanted me to be more like Draco. It was strange for someone of his age to be given a task directly from Voldemort. He doesn't seem so special to me. Thinking about it now, I wonder if Lindsey knows anything about his antics.

To be honest I couldn't care less what the dark lord wanted I need to get in Draco's good books and convince him to help me protect the girls.

I knew that he went to this one particular place each time and would disappear for the same amount of time each visit. I knew that he would be heading there at this time as I've picked up his pattern over the past few days. I made sure I was there before him so I could stop him before he entered the room, I wasn't waiting long before he turned around the corner. I didn't want Draco to see me as I didn't want to chance him walking away, so I went into stealth mode which didn't really end well when my face was on the other end of a piece of wood that could easily end my life.

Draco's POV

After being tapped on the shoulder by someone and me drawing my wand to place in their face, I soon realised that it was Taehyung, a Ravenclaw from the year above who I saw talking to Lindsey last year. I slowly lowered my wand and asked him kind of confused "what the bloody hell do you want?" I waited for a response but he was taking a while to find the words, "look, I haven't got all day so spit it out".

"I know you've been given a task by Voldemort. I don't care what it is. I just want us to have a mutual understanding or agreement." Taehyung said.

"Agreement? What do we need to agree on? I don't know you but I do know that Lindsey is a friend of yours, so unless you're here to talk about her, I suggest you leave"

"Well Regan and Lindsey. I don't know if you've heard of my father but you and I have the same fate and I don't want either of the girls to suffer for it." His response concerned me.

"Why would either of them suffer, they don't have to know anything so they won't be in his sight, so there will be no issues".

"I think you've forgotten who they are friends with. Harry Potter. If they are associated or seen with Harry they are as good as dead. If we work together, we can at least try and save them. He won't stop until Harry's dead and I for one know Regan and no doubt you know Lindsey well enough to know they wouldn't walk away from their friends when they need help". He said looking genuinely worried about the two girls.

"I hate to admit it but you're right, Voldemort is a savage and doesn't care who he kills, that why I'm doing this stupid task, to protect my family, to protect Lindsey. Nothing bad can happen to her or her friends especially Regan, it will break her. So, what exactly did you have in mind, how can we help each other?"

"Seeing as we are the two new comers they will most likely team us up. Makes training easier and my father is keen for me to follow in your footsteps. Regan already knows and accepts that I can't see her after I become a Death Eater. I assume Lindsey knows that too. If either of us gets any news on attacks or plots I can warn them using enchanted parchment that I have given to Regan. You are in the lime light so you wouldn't be able to let Lindsey know without getting caught."
