Chapter 76- The Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw

Lindsey's POV

Regan and I made our way towards the other students, teachers and the order and began helping them set everything up to protect this school, the place that has been our home for the past 6 years. Just as we thought we'd done enough the barrier that was once protecting our school was destroyed which meant we would have company very soon. It was time to fight for what is ours and for each other. Except I knew we wouldn't be helping much once I saw Ron and Hermione heading our way, soaking wet may I add. I tapped Regan on the shoulder to grab her attention and pointed in the direction of Hermione and Ron, she also had a confused look on her face as to why they were wet. We ran towards them "How'd it go?" I asked them. they nodded " it's destroyed, we should find Harry and no doubt by now he has found the Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw". Hermione said back, "yeah one problem though, how do we know where he is?" Ron then reached into his pocket and pulled out the Marauders Map.

We didn't waste any time before running off in the direction Harry was. We had reached a corridor not far from Harry when all the sudden Hermione said that he had vanished. How can someone vanish? "Maybe he has gone to The Room of Requirements, it doesn't show up on the Map, you said that last year" He walked off leaving Hermione slightly taken back that Ron actually listens to her. Regan and I laugh, causing Hermione to look at us "what's so funny" I laugh again "he has fancied you since first year Hermione, of course he listens to everything you say, and also cares to explain why you are wet?" she shook her head " the Chamber of Secrets and I've liked him since first year too" she said before following Ron "oh and we may have kissed" she said like it was no big deal. We followed after he asked loads of questions, none of which were answered.

Draco's POV

After leaving Lindsey and collecting my goons we followed Harry as he has something that belongs to me, my wand. We followed him to the Room of Requirements, I'm guessing he is looking for something.

Once we found him, we had wands at the ready, in case he decided to attack. "Well Well, what brings you here, Potter?" causing Harry to jump away from the item he was looking at " I could ask you the same thing" he said back to me. " You have something of mine, I'd like it back" wands still pointed at him. " Well, what's wrong with the one you have?"

"It's my mother's. It's powerful, but it's... not the same. Doesn't quite... understand me. Know what I mean?" I responded in hopes to get what I want but of course Potter tries to delay. "Why didn't you tell her? Bellatrix?You knew it was me. You didn't say anything." Before I could respond Goyle leans closer and whispers in his ear "Come on, Draco. Don't be a prat. Do him." Just then Harry reaches into his pockets "easy".

Before I could even think of a spell "Expelliarmus!" was casted and my mothers wand went flying out of my hand.

Goyle without a second thought casts "Avada Kedavra!" in their direction it was only then that I saw Lindsey, what was she doing here, I told her to stay safe. I ran for cover as I was unarmed, I heard Hermione cast "Stupefy!" a few seconds before Ron shouted "That's my girlfriend, you numpties!". He followed after us, before Goyle casted a spell setting the whole place on fire. Idiot.

Lindsey's POV

After Harry had received the Diadem and Goyle had set the place of fire, we were running for a way out. I got separated from the others and was by myself until I bumped into a tall figure nearly knocking me off my feet luckily they caught me. I looked up and saw it was Draco, how have I managed to run into him. We didn't really have time to think about that as the room was slowly burning. We were cornered and had nowhere to go, the flames surrounded us. "Get to high ground" I shouted over the loud cries and sparking of the flames. They didn't hesitate to start climbing up a pile of stacked furniture. I had to be careful and couldn't just climb up as fast as I could, in case I hurt the baby. Draco must have thought the same thing because instead of frantically climbing he followed behind me, making sure I was ok. We unfortunately lost Goyle on the way up as he grabbed a chair that wasn't stable enough. Once we got to a safe distance, well we ran out of furniture Draco grabbed my arms and said "what are you playing at, why are you here, I told you to stay safe and be careful not run towards danger" I looked at him rather confused as to why he was mad at me " well I'm sorry, I didn't exactly know Goyle would set the place on fire did I now, how can you be mad at me for that, I know I have to be careful, I don't want anything to happen to our baby anymore then you do, ok" His eyes softened at my words before he placed his hand on my belly " I know, I'm sorry, I just worry about you, I can't lose you or the baby, not now. You mean too much to me and we have been through way too much, I just want you out of harm's way but I guess that's too much to ask for, you are you after all. You jump head first into everything especially when it to protect those you love" I placed my hand on his " I know you do and I love you for it but I'm not going to just sit this one out and watch my friends fight, I need to help them" instead of answering back he places as small kiss on my lips which I know is his way of saying I love you too.
