Chapter 82- It's time

Regan's pov

This is it. Today is the day. Lindsey, Draco, Harry, Tae and I stood in the main hall of the ministry. I felt nervous and worried but I tried not to show it to the boys. We were guided through to where we needed to submit our evidence and put forward witnesses . Lindsey and I had organised a folder with everything we could find to help the boys prove their innocence. We had asked Professor McGonagall to come forward to speak as a witness. She agreed without hesitation as she saw first hand both Taehyung and Draco fighting for Hogwarts and protecting people during the battle.

"Afternoon you five. Are you ready ?" Professor McGonagall's voice came from behind us. Draco and Taehyung have been quiet all morning so Lindsey spoke up for us.
"Afternoon Professor, yes I think we are as ready as we can be."
"Good, I've brought the wands you asked for from the school." In the Professor's hand was Snape's and Bellatrix's wands "I'll hand these in for you, try not to worry you two, you have a lot of support." She reassured the boys.

Harry stayed with the Professor to talk while the four of us then were guided to the holding cells next to the courtroom.
"Right you two will wait in here till the start of the trail. You ladies, go take a seat in the witness stand." The Ministry worker held open the cell gate.
"Can we have two minutes please?" Lindsey asked and the man nodded, giving us a little space. Lindsey pulled Draco aside and turned to wish Taehyung luck.

I looked up at Taehyung and knew he hadn't slept much. He had bags under his eye and was exhausted from worrying about today.
"Hey. It's going to be fine." I got his attention but he didn't want to look me in the eyes.
"Yeah Draco will be fine..." he spoke quietly. I pulled him closer to me and held his hands.
"You'll be fine too. You've got this and like McGonagall said there are a lot of people on your side. Just remember everything we've gone though and in a few hours this will all be over." I've tried my best to make him smile the past few months but it doesn't seem to work. I just hope that once this is over he can enjoy life again. He pulled me into a hug which was tighter than usual.
"I hope so, Princess. But if it doesn't... I love you." I could hear the lump in his throat, he had little faith in our plan.
"I love you too. When we get home we'll get takeout, your choice." I gave him one last squeeze before he and Draco were locked in the cell. Lindsey and I went into the courtroom and sat in the witness stand.

"Draco feeling okay?" I asked lindsey.
"Yeah,I'm a bit nervous but I just want it over and done with. I know Tae's not alright." She says rubbing her baby bump.
"Yeah he's got doubts but I'm confident so hopefully that rubs off on him. Are you feeling okay." I asked, noticing her rub her stomach more than usual.
"Yeah, just a little uncomfortable today, I think it's the nerves." I nodded and then waited for the trial to begin.

It's time. Taehyung and Draco were led into the courtroom and said their names and ages for the council of magical law and Jury. These are the people who will determine whether they will have their record cleared or be sent to Azkaban.
"Everyone please remain seated and silent while court is in session. I trust all members of the jury have been informed of the charges and have copies of the evidence presented for and against these gentlemen '' The judge said assertively to the room and the jury members nodded "Right no need to explain then, I shall begin. Mr Kim and Mr Malfoy, you are being tried in court together due to the circumstances of your cases and how they overlap. However there are some individual allegations that we will discuss first. Mr Kim, let's start with you as you are oldest. It is clear that you are part of the radical group known as the Death Eaters but the faded Dark Mark on your arm. We will discuss this further with your main witness as that coincides with the following. I can see here that there are 16 names of the deceased which you have put forward. All of which were killed in Death Eater attacks, please come forward to the centre and tell us your involvement in these crimes."
