Chapter 20

Y/n walked beside Boruto, looking at people that went past them. "Remind me, where are we going again?" Y/n asked, turning her attention to Boruto who kept his gaze forward with a smile. "I told you we are going to Thunder Burger." Boruto said, looking at her again.

"You never tried it, right?" Boruto asked titling his head. It was true that you didn't hear of it, you don't really live anywhere near that Thunder Burger, whatever it is. "Yeah. But what's the fuss, just to bring me there?" Y/n asked. He wouldn't stop pleading her to come there and try it, so Y/n could do nothing but to agree, she wouldn't deny him either way.

Boruto smiled at Y/n. "You'll see when we get there!" He said, and with that he returned his gaze forward to see where he's going. Whatever this Thunder Burger was, Boruto seemed pretty excited to go there again for some reason. Maybe it will taste better than Y/n thought, however she's not sure since she was never at the place anymore, she's not sure what they serve. But considering the name, it must have something to do with burgers.

"Hmm... So is this a date?" Y/n asked, looking at Boruto who blushed red no more than a second. Y/n laughed at him, causing him to blush more. "N-no. Of course not! What gave you the idea!?" Boruto stuttered, not meeting her gaze. It was fun teasing him, he can be a real tsundere sometimes.

"Oh, just wondering." Y/n giggled but Boruto said nothing more, he was now watching floor with his blushed face. When he looked up again, his eyes shined. "Y/n! We're here!" Boruto exclaimed and without hesitation he ran into the restaurant, not glancing over his shoulder if Y/n followed or not. So much for patience... Sighing to herself she followed Boruto, walking slowly.

"W-what!? You're out of chilli burgers!?" Boruto asked with disbelief when Y/n entered Thunder Burger. The lady nodded and bowed down. "We're very sorry!" She said, trying to apologise. Looks like chilli burger is Boruto's favourite, Y/n didn't know that. She also didn't know he eats here, it looks like a nice place so far.

"It's fine. I'll take a regular burger, Y/n what do you want?" Boruto asked glancing over his shoulder as Y/n walked in beside him. "Do you have fries?" Y/n asked the lady. They must have fries with burgers, it would just be dumb not to. The lady nodded her head. "I'd like that." Y/n said, looking at Boruto who nodded and smiled.

"Okay. Please take a seat until we serve you." The lady said. Boruto walked over to his seat, sitting down and looking at Y/n as he gestured with his hand for her to come. Y/n followed Boruto and sat at the chair opposite of him. The chair was surprisingly comfy... "How do missions work here?" Y/n asked thoughtfully. She wasn't sure how missions work since they are in school, but she supposed it doesn't matter.

"Oh, well... We go to my dad's office and he just orders people around, giving them missions and stuff." Boruto shrugged, his attention was somewhere else and she could tell he was thinking about eating the burger since he wouldn't shut up about it. This must be his favourite place to eat then. Y/n knew Boruto's father was the hokage, Boruto and Y/n were close so they told each other everything.

But Y/n knew his father was the hokage once she met him, he told her his last name which was Uzumaki, just like naruto's. And he sure had his eyes and hair, and his first name Boruto is somewhat same like Naruto's. "So how are you handling the missions?" Y/n asked and Boruto smirked at her.

"Oh, it's going great! I was even sent on a dangerous mission and I succeeded it." Boruto said, smiling. He seemed really proud of himself, Y/n wondered will she ever think like that to herself. If she becomes a wonderful ninja, she probably will. Then their food was served, Y/n got her fries and Boruto got his burger. He was drooling at this point. "Thanks for the food!" Boruto yelled then started to eat his burger. Y/n titled her head at him, he thanks before eating? Hmm...

Y/n just ate her fries in silence, she took one fry and put it in her mouth, her eyes widened immediately. 'Holy shit this is good!' Y/n thought to herself, as she ate more. She never ate something as good as this, how did they manage to make something so perfect? "Enjoying yourself?" She looked over to Boruto who was watching her, his arm resting on the table and his head was on his cheek, while in other hand he held the burger he bit into few seconds ago.

Y/n backed away and blushed a little, maybe she was enjoying herself too much. "N-no..." Y/n stuttered. Why was she trying to hide the fact that she's enjoying it? Is it because she's scared of getting judged?

"I knew you'd like it!" Boruto exclaimed laughing as he continued to eat his burger again, Y/n blushed more but didn't say anything as she continued to eat her fries as well.

"That was amazing!" Boruto said, his arms were behind his head, he was watching the sky. Y/n nodded in agreement. It was good, she had to admit it. She still wants to know their secret to make the fries that good. "It was nice." Y/n said, looking at the school. They weren't far away from it now.

"C'mon don't lie, I know you loved it!" Boruto teased her and Y/n just looked at the ground the sighed. "Yeah... You're right." Y/n said looking at him as she smiled, Boruto smiled back.

She was surprised to see Sarada in front of the school, waiting for them. When she locked eyes with Y/n she smiled. Y/n uncomfortably smiled back, she didn't really expect to see Sarada... What was she doing? Boruto seemed surprised as well by the look of it, but he said nothing.

"Hello Y/n, Boruto. How did the date go?" Sarada asked, smiling. Y/n blushed a little but not much, she kind of knew she would say this at some point once she realized Boruto wanted to bring Y/n to Thunder Burger to try it out. "W-what!? You all are seriously being weird!" Boruto exclaimed as he blushed. Sarada only smiled and shrugged. "As you say..." Sarada said, then she looked at Y/n.

"Come Y/n we need to talk." Sarada said, grabbing Y/n's arm and started pulling her away, and Y/n looked back to see Boruto who was watching them from distance. She gave him 'Sorry' look but she wasn't sure did he see, since he was far away.

Returning her attention to Sarada, they walked in the school and went in Sarada's room. "Tell me, how did it go?" Sarada asked, looking at Y/n with shining eyes. She seemed excited, but why excited over her? She never had anyone be excited for her... This is weird.

"It went well, we ate fries and burger." Y/n said, and Sarada's excitement dropped. Was she expecting something else? There won't be anything special until Boruto leaves Sophie alone. "But what did you talk about?" Sarada asked, titling her head.

"We talked about missions and stuff." Y/n shrugged, and Sarada seemed disappointed at this point. "Y/n... Do you talk about anything that's not a mission or a task? Don't you talk about his hobbies, what he likes or dislikes?" Sarada asked. Thinking about it, she was right. Y/n didn't really ask anything about what he likes of hates, she never took him out somewhere to have fun like he did with Thunder Burger.

"Um... No. You know I'm not much of a talker..." Y/n said. Since she had no friends she didn't know how to talk about anything besides tasks or missions... But saying what he likes or hates is just boring, no?

"I understand." Sarada said, fixing her glasses. Sarada knew that she never really had no friends before. She didn't know really what's it like. It was difficult for Y/n, she didn't talk much about what she loves or hates because she knew they would judge her... so she didn't really got much to talk about.

Suddenly the door burst open. She looked to the door and she was surprised to see Inojin. "Y/n!" Inojin called, and Y/n focused her attention to him. What's going on?

"It's Sophie! She's gathering everyone at the lunch, and I think it won't end good... Y/n, I think it has something to do with you, I was close enough to hear her whisper your name to her friends." Inojin said and immediately, Y/n froze with pale face, she was too shocked to move. She knew what Sophie will do, and it will ruin her reputation... Everyone will hate her!
