Chapter 35

Walking over to the city, Y/n was careful to look around her. Boruto should be arriving home soon, that's true but... Who knows where Mitsuki dragged him to. He might be in the village or who knows where, still she can't risk getting caught.

Flox agreed to come with Y/n so they can hang out, but this time they won't be in his house, they'll just hang out in the village and chat, then Y/n will finally decide before anything goes wrong. She needs to be fast however, no more than two hours or Boruto will find out that something is wrong.

Looking around, she tried to see where Flox is but she couldn't see him anywhere nearby. Maybe he's somewhere else, they just agreed to meet at the village somewhere close to Thunder Burger so they can see each other, she should have just told him straightforward location... Now she's struggling to find him.

Just as she was about to give up her eyes landed on icy blue ones and Y/n immediately smiled, she finally found him! Walking over to Flox, he stayed in his place and watched her make his way over to him. "Hello Y/n, I see Boruto isn't with you. That's good." Flox said and Y/n nodded, it was good. They won't argue or fight anymore, she hoped... But if Boruto realized she's gone and comes after her, tracking her down what could happen?

"Yeah, I somehow managed to escape." Y/n joked and Flox smiled in response. It's not easy to trick Boruto now that he's overprotective... But he still can't be around her all the time as well. He's mostly away training with Sasuke if he's there or with Naruto, when he can. He's training 24/7 to say... And he sometimes trains Y/n as well, fighting against her. It was nice having him as her teammate, he truly is a positive kid.

"We can finally talk in peace without Boruto breaking in... So, how have you been?" Flox asked, as he turned to walk and Y/n walked right beside him. They were just probably going to walk around the village and chat, who knows. "I've been doing good, I'm training a lot lately and Boruto is helping me train as well." Y/n said, it was true that she is also training a lot. She needs to become a better ninja so she can fight along side her teammates, not be in the background and watch it like some movie.

"I could have helped you train as well... I'm not a ninja, but I was one before. I still know some Jutsu's, but I gave that up to be a programer and hacker." Flox explained and Y/n was amazed at that, she had no idea that he was a ninja before. She wonders what he did back then, he must have been a amazing ninja... "That's amazing! Why didn't you tell me that sooner?" Y/n asked, all the time that they spent together he never told her that he was a ninja once. Flox furrowed his eyebrows, he looked so serious but he calmed down and gave her a smile. "I never thought you'd be interested for me to tell you that." Flox explained.

Of course she would be interested, she had no idea that he was a ninja. That is big news, but... Why did he give up being a ninja? By the look of him, it's better not to ask because it gives him memories... Like something happened. With the time they spend together now, Y/n wasn't really sure does she love him. But she believes she loves Boruto more than him, Boruto was always there for her and he's the best boyfriend anyone could ask for. She doubted she loves Flox, maybe it was just her mind playing with her.

"Y/n how did you manage to escape Boruto? We all know that he won't leave you alone at all." Flox said and Y/n knew he was right, he wouldn't leave her side, he might in the future but for now he sticks beside her. Should she tell him how she managed to escape? Y/n saw no harm to tell him but what if he uses it against her in the future? It could happen if she picks Boruto over her or if he wants Boruto gone... He'd tell that to hurt his feelings but just at the thought of Flox telling that Boruto doesn't really sound like him... Y/n doubted he would do that but it's best not to say anything for now. "I somehow managed while he fell asleep." Y/n said, shrugging her shoulders and Flox nodded beside her.

She watched as Flox stopped suddenly and lost looked around. "Let's go somewhere quieter. I don't really like crowds." Flox said and Y/n nodded, maybe he had something to tell her and he didn't want anyone to overhear. "Let's go to the park, there's rarely anyone there." Y/n mentioned and Flox thought for a second before he finally gave in. "Good idea." He said and they began to walk over to the park.

Y/n sat at the bench and gazed at water in front of her where the ducks swam. It was truly a nice day, it wasn't windy or cold. It was just warm and pink flowers fell down everywhere, it was a nice view to be at. Mother duck was swimming with her baby ducks, and Flox was beside her as he watched as well.

It was odd to find ducks in the park, but... I guess it doesn't matter much. "Why did you give up from becoming a ninja?" Y/n suddenly asked, she was really curious to know. She didn't know anything about Flox's past, he always refused to tell her. Flox became serious again and he seemed oceans away. It seems like something bad happened so he stopped being a ninja but what could be that bad? "I don't really want to talk about that now." Flox said as he rubbed his forehead and Y/n dipped her head, she knew that past is hard to overcome to but yet she was curious to know. She won't pressure Flox to say that, he will say it as time passes by, Y/n hoped he would.

"Are you still self harming?" Flox's question took her by surprise and she now understood why he wanted to pick a quieter place, he wanted to talk to her about her emotions and crying in front of a crowd isn't really smart. However, she won't tell Flox or anyone anything about her emotions. No one needs to know about her dark thoughts, and no one will. She still does self harm, she knows that Boruto wouldn't like it if he found out but it makes her relax and it makes the pain go away. That's why she loves it, she can't get over it. It's just like a drug, like cigarette... Once you start, you're addicted and you can't stop.

"Of course not, I can't self harm... I don't self harm anymore, that's past." Y/n explained but Flox didn't believe her. She knew that he's good at telling whenever someone's lying or not, he did find out about her self harming either way. He's good at solving stuff, that's true. "Can I see your scars then?" Flox asked and Y/n started to sweat, of course he'd ask that. Y/n didn't want to talk about her emotions, not now that she's happy and having fun. "No." Y/n answered, she didn't want him to see anything. It's none of his business does she self harm of not, same as Boruto. No one needs to know. By her answer Flox frowned but said nothing more and Y/n was glad, at last.

"So, how about we-" Flox stopped in his tracks when he looked at something behind Y/n. Y/n titled her head in confusion, what can be so alarming for him to stop his sentence? Flox almost never stops mid sentence, that's very unlike him. Turning her head to look behind her, Y/n froze in place and her eyes widened in surprise. She could see Boruto running after them from afar, and by the look of it he wasn't happy at all. He kept his gaze angry, glaring at Flox. But it's barely been 30 minutes, how could have he found out that fast? Either way, it's too late now and Y/n knows this won't end good at all.
