Chapter 21

Pushing through the crowd, Y/n did her best to get to Sophie and stop her... But how? Nothing can stop her from telling everyone ... Did she see Y/n and Boruto go to Thunder Burger? That's possible, what other explanation is there? That's the only reason and only time she decided to gather everyone.

She could see Sophie now and they locked eyes, Y/n could see Sophie smirk. "Y/n... You're finally here." Sophie said with her evil smile and Y/n didn't know how to reply, she just knew that it's over. Everyone will know her secret now. She could see Boruto in the room too, he was looking at Sophie with confused and suspicious glare but he let her say whatever she wants either way. She could see all of her friends were there, except Flox... Inojin, Cho Cho, Sarada, Mitsuki, Shikadai, Sumire... Everyone was here, there was no doubt.

"Y/n would you like to tell them or should I do it?" Sophie asked and everyone broke into whispers. Y/n clenched her fists, looking at Sophie with hatred expression. She really hated her, maybe going to Thunder Burger was a bad idea, she had a bad feeling after all. "Sophie? What's going on?" She could see Boruto yelled through the crowd, everyone looked at Boruto and they whispered again. "Oh, Boruto... Don't worry. There's something Y/n hid from all of you, even you." Sophie said, looking at Boruto with her usual evil smile.

Boruto seemed taken aback, then he looked at Y/n with shocked gaze. "Y-Y/n? Is it true?" Boruto asked, disbeliefed. Y/n wanted to cry at this point, she could feel tears were about to pour down any second but she did her best to hold them. Dropping her gaze away from Boruto, all she could do was look at the floor. She just felt exposed, she knew everyone will hate her after this.

"So Y/n, are you going to tell them?" Sophie asked, she seemed to lose patience now. Y/n didn't answer, she just stared at the ground not sure how to react. She will lose all her friends after this, all of them will hate her. Sophie cleared her throat and the whispers died down. "Seems like I'll take the charge of this. Y/n had a brother, but he was murdered by her mother... There's no doubt she's any different than her mother, she wants to kill us all!" Sophie yelled and everyone gasped then broke into even more and louder whispers, Sophie smiled at Y/n's crying face.

Y/n couldn't hold it in anymore, everyone was whispering and looking at her. She couldn't stop her tears, she knew it's over, everyone will judge her now and she won't have friends anymore... Everyone will hate her. Some people were laughing that she's crying, some where giving her disgusted look, some were scared she'll kill them but rarely anyone looked neutral or guilty. What Sophie said isn't true, she never would kill anyone! She isn't anything like her mother, she even doesn't want to be her!

Shaking her head, she started to back away until she started to run out of the lunch room. "Y/n!" She heard some of her friends call to her but she ignored them, they probably didn't care about her, they just wanted her gone now. Going in her room, she took a kunai out of Boruto's desk. She didn't self harm for few days now but...

Remembering the feeling she had while she self harmed, she remembered how good it felt, to have her pain go away. She felt relieved while doing it, she couldn't get rid of it... She's too addicted to do so.

Putting the kunai in her bag, she started to walk to woman's bathroom. Every shinobi or genin, jonin, whoever had a bag where they put their kunais and shurikens in. But n didn't have any shurikens or kunais in her since she didn't began to train for that yet, so she had to take Boruto's. Walking in the woman's bathroom, she locked herself in the toilet and raised her sleeves. This was the only way to let the pain go away, she knew it. After the looks they gave her, Y/n could tell they hated her now.

Pulling down her sleeves, she started to clean the kunai and put it back in her bag. Walking out of the bathroom, she spotted Boruto surprisingly. She didn't really want to talk to him now, but as soon as he spotted her he ran toward her. Well, damnit...

"Y/n? What were you doing in there?" Boruto asked with suspicion in his voice. It was true she didn't go to shower or do anything, by the look of it so he has right to be suspicious. "O-oh um... Crying." Y/n said, it was the truth ... Half of the truth, and that was enough for Boruto to understand.

"Are you really trying to kill us?" Boruto asked and Y/n shot him a glance of shock and disbelief. He really believed that? "Of course not! You really trust Sophie?" Y/n asked and Boruto looked at the ground, not sure what to say. There's no way he still trusts her, after what she's done. "After what she did, maybe I made a mistake... Maybe she is evil." Boruto said but he snapped out of his thoughts and turned to look at Y/n with a frown.

"But Y/n, are you okay?" Boruto asked and Y/n smiled in response, it's best to hide her pain for now. "Of course I'm fine." Y/n lied, and Boruto didn't even blink. He knew she was lying, he knew it. "N/n quit lying to me! I told you, I'm here for you." Boruto said, he looked really serious but Y/n still held her smile, she could feel her tears building up again. "I-I'm f-fine!" Y/n said between sobs as tears poured down.

She probably looked like the biggest idiot, it was pretty obvious she wasn't fine if you look at her even one second. "No, you're not. I'd be sad in the situation too, but don't worry, as long as you have us you'll be okay!" Boruto tried to soothe her but Y/n wasn't so sure. Did they believe Sophie? Or did they believe her?

"B-but don't they think S-Sophie is right?" Y/n asked, and Boruto smiled sadly then shook his head. "Of course not. Sophie always did that, we don't believe her but, of course there are some people who do." Boruto said, hugging the girl as he stroked her hair, Y/n hugged him back with shaky hands as she started to sob.

"Now tell me, what's troubling you?" Boruto asked, and Y/n wasn't sure should she really tell him. This was just redicilous now, she was crying because of rumors. Why did she care, it's not like she cares if anyone is her friend or not... Right? Did she want friends after all? Remembering the times she had with them all, she realized how lucky she is to call them her friends. She was never happy like that before.

"Everyone will make fun of me now, they won't want to be my friends anymore... Everyone will give me strange glances." Y/n said, her sobs calmed down a little and her tears stopped, but she was still sad and anxious at the fact that she will have to walk in every class alone, while people whispered around and gave her strange glances. "It will be tough at first, but you're strong. You'll be able to survive it and you'll show everyone how much of a great Shinobi you can become." Boruto whispered in her ear, holding her tight. He was right, one day they will look up to her and no rumors can ruin her moment!

No one will be able to defeat the greatest Shinobi that ever existed, Y/n L/n. "Thank you, Boruto!" Y/n said, stepping back and Boruto just smiled down at her. He truly was a nice friend, he's always there for anyone whenever you need him and he's very positive, he never lets his friends down. He's awesome. "But..." Boruto said, hesitating.

By the look of it, it didn't look like good news. Y/n got anxious again. "But?" Y/n asked curiously. What can be so important at this moment? Did Shikadai think Sophie was telling the truth, did half of them think so? Boruto looked at Y/n sadly then said something Y/n didn't expect that shocked her. "Sumire believed Sophie's words, she thinks you're a killer and that you're evil."
