Chapter 2

Boruto looked at Y/n, she seemed to be deep in her sleep. 'She's still sleeping?... Looks like I'll have to wake her up or she will be late for class...' Boruto looked around the room, her alarm was needing and yet she didn't wake up, suddenly Boruto got an idea and smiled, he can just hit her in the head with a pillow, that's a nice idea. Picking up his pillow, Boruto bonked her in the head and he could see Y/n opened her eyes lazily. "What the ..." Y/n mumbled, she looked very tired. Y/n turned off her alarm and pushed the pillow down on the floor. "Y/n get up now!" Boruto said. Boruto could hear Y/n mumble something but he couldn't make out what it was, and with that Y/n laid back on her bed and made herself comfortable.

'She's going to sleep again...? Seriously?' She must be really tired but she had to go to the class, that's why she came here in the first place. Picking up the pillow from the floor, Boruto bonked her in the head again. Y/n sat up and rubbed her eyes, her face was full of tiredness and she was still in her pajamas. "What is it?" Y/n asked, Boruto stared at her as she yawned and stretched, finally looking at him. "We're going on our first class, you should go to woman's bathroom to shower and do stuff you girls do, also don't forget to bring your clothes with you." Boruto said with a grin, he doesn't mind if she does forget to bring her clothes with her, who knows what he could witness...

Boruto watched as Y/n made her way over to her closer, he heard her murmur. "Yeah, yeah whatever..." With a sigh, she took her clothes and stared to go out of the room without even looking at Boruto, he's not sure why but that made him disappointed. Boruto looked around the empty room, and then he got an idea. He could scare her when she goes out of the woman's bathroom, that would be so funny! Giggling at his thoughts, Boruto walked out of the room and over to the woman's bathroom, but he didn't go in. Instead, he was waiting outside patiently for Y/n. When he at last saw her, he jumped out and said "Boo!" Loudly. At first, Y/n seemed very scared and that made him laugh, she tried to run away but Boruto caught her hand. "Relax! I was just joking around!" Boruto said, the girl met his gaze and she seemed to relax noticing it's him.

But her relaxed look faded into a dark one, she seemed to be lost in thoughts and whatever she was thinking about didn't look good by her sad and serious expression. "Hey, you okay?" Boruto asked, he suddenly felt very guilty for pranking her like that, he just thought it was a fun idea but maybe it wasn't. "Yes, of course. So, why don't we go to our first class now?" Y/n asked, Boruto forgot about her sad look and he brightened up immediately. "Yeah, let's go!" Boruto said, he started to lead Y/n away, signaling with his hand for her to follow. Noticing that she was following, Boruto began to lead her downstairs and all around him he could see students whispering as they saw Y/n appear but Boruto didn't pay much attention to them.

But the same couldn't be said for Y/n, Y/n seemed uncomfortable by all the whispering and she pulled closer to Boruto, Boruto was surprised by her actions but he didn't complain, he could understand her nervousness. "Hey, it's okay! You just arrived at this school late so everyone is confused." Boruto said, trying to make her feet better but Y/n was still anxious by the looks everyone was giving her, but she nodded anyway. "Do you want to go to the first class or wait a little? We have time before the class starts." Boruto offered, he could see Y/n looked around the room anxiously. She seemed to get more anxious and she pushed herself closer to Boruto, catching him by surprise. She was really close to his chest and close to his body, but he couldn't help blushing at how close they were... 'She's cute...' Boruto realized.

Y/n shook her head to his question. "No ..." She whispered. Looking up at him, her face flushed and she probably realized that she's too close to him. She stepped back awkwardly before she spoke. "Sorry. I just don't like when people look at me." Y/n explained. 'She's shy?' When they were alone Y/n didn't seem shy at all, she talked openly. Shrugging, Boruto looked away. "Well, alright. Let's go." He said, leading her away to their first class. When Boruto opened the door, he could see Shikadai and Inojin who were in their conversation but when the door opened they stopped and raised their heads, Boruto brightened up at the sight of them. "Shikadai, Inojin!" Boruto called after them. Boruto walked over to his friends and Y/n followed behind. "What is it?" Shikadai asked, he wasn't looking at Boruto but instead the window, watching the nature outside.

"Look, this is Y/n! The new student!" Boruto said, he gestured with his hand over to Y/n. Shikadai looked around to see her but Inojin was already paying attention from the first time they stepped in this class. "We know, the principal said she will come. Everyone knows that." Inojin said, yawning with tiredness. "Oh, forgot to mention... Welcome to hell." Inojin added to Y/n. Boruto could hear Y/n chuckle. Boruto sat beside Inojin and he patted the empty seat beside him to Y/n, it didn't take her long to sit beside him as well. "Don't tell me you were playing Mario kart all night." Shikadai said, he met Boruto's eyes and he was staring at him with no expression whatsoever. Growing offended, Boruto crossed his arms and looked away. "Hey! I told you I played it only once all night! That doesn't mean I do it every night!" Boruto complained.

"Actually, you did it twice. Quit lying ..." Shikadai said, growing annoyed Boruto looked at Shikadai. 'He's trying to act smart...' Boruto realized. "Well, I did. But if then so what? Why does it matter?" Boruto asked, Shikadai met his gaze, raising one of his eyebrow. "You almost fell asleep in class once, if it wasn't for Mitsuki you'd sleep thought whole class and get detention." Shikadai reminded him and Boruto was ashamed now, did he really had to remind him that in front of a new student and his roommate? Boruto sighed, he put his hands on the table and rested his head on his arms. "Whatever..." Boruto mumbled,but it was loud enough for them to hear. "I know I'm new but... Why does literally everyone look at me like I'm an alien?" Y/n asked. Boruto didn't bother to look at Y/n, his head remained on his arms.

"Well, everyone who wants to become a shinobi comes here. If you come late, you have no way of joining but you must be powerful so they accepted you. So, you have some special jutsu... What is it?" Inojin asked, Inojin and Shikadai were staring at Y/n with curiosity and Boruto couldn't deny his curiosity either, he raised his head to look at Y/n. She seemed very nervous. "Well... I don't really have any jutsu's... At all." Y/n said and Boruto stared at Y/n with shock and disbelief, his eyes widening. Boruto exchanged confused and shocked glances with Inojin and Shikadai. "What...!? But how!?" Shikadai asked, his voice sounded shocked. "Only ninjas can enter this school!" Inojin added. Boruto noticed Y/n's sad look and he felt bad for her, maybe it was a shock to her too.

Y/n sighed sadly. "I don't know..." Y/n said but before anyone could utter a word, the bell rang and students walked into the class, shortly after the teacher joined in as well. "Hello class, today we will..." Boruto rested his arm on his table with his head on his hands, watching the teacher with a bored face. Boruto looked at Y/n from the corner of his eyes and realized that she's already looking at him. She blushed and looked away, Boruto smiled at how red she got. It's very cute. Boruto poked her cheek playfully. "Your face is completely red! Pfft!" Boruto said with a chuckle. Boruto noticed that she was eyeing him angrily but to him she just looked like a angry chivava and he began to laugh more but his laughs died down quickly. "Shut up fox face!" Y/n said. Boruto stared at her with surprise, first nickname he received is... Foxface?

"Foxface? Really?" Boruto asked, unsure what to say to that. "Yes, your face looks like a fox." Y/n grinned at him, but focused her attention back on the teacher. Boruto stood quiet as he stared at her. 'That's reasonable... I guess.' Boruto thought to himself, but she was right, he did look like a fox just a little.

Boruto was at lunch, but he didn't touch his food since he was worried. He walked out of the class with Shikadai, and he forgot about Y/n. 'I shouldn't have left her, she's new to this! What if she gets lost or something happens?' Boruto was very worried and all he could think about was her walking through that door, he just hopes she's okay. 'She's always so anxious and tense ... That's one thing I noticed.' Boruto realized. "You look worried, what's up?" Shikadai asked him. Boruto frowned sadly but decided to tell Shikadai, they're close friends after all. "I'm worried about Y/n..." Boruto confessed, he couldn't get himself to relax once he sees her making sure she's okay. "That newbie? I'm sure she will find her own way." Shikadai said, not thinking much about it all.

Boruto wasn't really sure about that, she does seem like a nice person but she's always so... Sad. Boruto noticed Y/n who was in the wide room, and his relief swept over him almost at once. "Y/n!" He shouted after her, the girl turned around to face him with surprise. She was a little far away from him. "Come sit with us!" Boruto said, Y/n seemed to hesitate. She looked at Sophie and Boruto widened his eyes in surprise, he hasn't noticed Sophie yet. Sophie shook her head to Y/n and with a frown, Y/n faced him again. "Sorry, I can't now..." Y/n said with disappointment and with that she sat over to Sophie and her friends. Boruto could feel his anger boiling, of course it's Sophie. She always takes advantage of new students, she's always like that! Boruto growled under his breath, why can't she just leave and never come back? She always ruins everyone's life...
