Chapter 38

Y/n was drinking her water in silence. She just ate fries in Thunder Burger and she was alone. Now you might be wondering, why isn't Boruto with her? Yes, you're right he's always by her side but something happened, he wanted to go visit Shikadai because they were going to watch a movie at his place and he wanted to hang out with only Shikadai. He told her many times to be careful until he was certain she wouldn't hurt herself more and that she will be safe, he made her promise it.

It took a lot of promises to have him feel certain she was going to be safe since she kind of broke a lot of promises she made back. Y/n sighed to herself and closed her eyes. From their last mission they stumbled upon that boy... He had a karma as well, just like Boruto's. It was strange to watch. He had some connection with the Kara clan but that's really all Y/n knew because he collapsed on the ground after the fight. After that, she was quite surprised to find that Kawaki was going to live with them for awhile, and Boruto was too. They had a little argument and were about to fight but Naruto stopped them. Kawaki also broke Himawari's vase, but he's out to buy a new one now. Boruto should be coming back any minute. It had been few hours after all, and if she's accurate Boruto should arrive before Kawaki and Naruto do.

Lord seventh has to watch over Kawaki for now, and that explains why he's always home. He's usually in his office but now that he has to look over Kawaki he's usually home or out in his office with Kawaki beside him, sitting somewhere close by. "Hello Y/n!" Y/n looked up at Sarada and said a 'hello' back. She wasn't paying much attention to her, she was mostly thinking about Kawaki. He's very strange, he's not an ordinary human after all. "Have you met Kawaki yet?" Y/n suddenly asked Sarada, she wanted to know does she know about him. Sarada nodded and Y/n was a little surprised, she didn't know that she met him. "I just stumbled upon him, he was with Lord Seventh. They were shopping for vase." Sarada explained and Y/n nodded. At least she knows that Kawaki isn't doing anything dangerous. He is a little suspicious to her, but we'll see. Boruto didn't really seem to like him much.

"What do you think of him?" Sarada asked, she watched Y/n with interest as she waited patiently for her reply. She wasn't sure what to think of him yet, she basically just met him. "He's strange." Y/n answered thinking deeply. Cho Cho seems to like him, but again she likes and has crush on a lot of guys. "I think so too... He acted really weird..." Sarada trailed off, she suddenly seemed lost in thought and Y/n didn't bother to ask. Sarada looked at her again, she then looked out of the window. "I have to go. You should go home as well Y/n, Boruto should be coming back any minute." Sarada winked at her and Y/n blushed red. She still loved and liked Boruto of course, she couldn't get rid of her feelings for him but that doesn't mean anything, he can live without her. But he's so eager and he won't give up, he thinks that there's still hope but Y/n doesn't see it. She just wants him to be happy, and he won't achieve that when being with Y/n.

"R-right. See you!" Y/n waved and Sarada waved back, and with that she was gone. After a few seconds Y/n got up as well, leaving the glass of water on the table and she started to head back home. Y/n was walking through the village, and she saw Lord Seventh and Kawaki from distance which surprised her, he was holding a bag in his hand and she already guessed it's a vase. Y/n walked over to them and stopped in front of Kawaki. "Hey Kawaki!" Y/n said and he glared at her, he looked so irritated to see her. Well, that's a great start. "What do you want?" Kawaki asked rudely and Y/n ignored his rude response, she looked up at Lord Seventh. She doesn't see him much since he's never basically home, but he is here now so that's amazing. "Hey Y/n! We were just heading home." Naruto said and Y/n nodded, she walked with them and beside Kawaki, he might seem annoying and rude but she knows that there's a kind side of him.

She just has to give him a chance, she knows everyone has a good sides in them besides Kara organization. Kara is just something else, they want to do something and Y/n wasn't sure what but it's not good. "How are you and Boruto?" Naruto asked, and Y/n couldn't see him very clearly because of Kawaki, he is kind of tall but not taller than Naruto of course. "We're good, he should be home by now. He was at Shikadai's house to watch a movie with him and play video games." Y/n shrugged, and her attention went back to Kawaki. He stayed quiet and looked down on the floor without saying a word. Weird, as Y/n said. He doesn't even bother to talk or look at them, Y/n never met anyone like him...

"Kawaki do you like video games?" Y/n smiled at him, he raised his head to look at her slightly. He still didn't look friendly and Y/n can tell by his face, he always looked so serious like he didn't know what relaxing is. "I don't know what video games are, and I don't want to know." Kawaki said and Y/n sighed to herself. He's always like that,his replies are very rude and unfriendly. He must have came from far away because literally everyone knows about video games. "You don't know what those are? Ghee... Where were you raised at?" Y/n said to herself and the way Kawaki looked at her, she realized her words were mean and she gave him apologizing look but he didn't reply. She should be careful with her words around him. For some reason his expression seemed to harden like he was thinking of something. "Let's not fight now, Kawaki." Naruto said and Kawaki again didn't reply and that surprised her. At least he listened to Lord Seventh, that's something.

They did spend a lot time together so he must be starting to trust him a little. Boruto should be in the house now, waiting for her probably. He wouldn't go to sleep until he's sure she's home and safe, she's sure of that. He must be waiting in the living room right now, and waiting for them. They weren't far away from home now, they should arrive very soon. "I see you bought a vase..." Y/n said trying to make a conversation with him. He is a little rude but she's sure he will become kinder. Wherever he was raised at, they raised him to be a robot listening to orders and have no feelings. "Yeah, so?" Kawaki asked and Y/n's eyes trailed from the bag back to him. He was really being rude, maybe he's not used to being nice yet. "Nothing. That's nice of you." Y/n said, it was nice of him even tho Naruto helped him it was his idea. He wanted for Boruto to forgive him or something, she wasn't sure what.

Kawaki again didn't respond, he kept his gaze serious and fixed his eyes to look ahead of him without looking at Naruto or Y/n. They are very close now, few more steps and they would be home. Boruto must be waiting for her now, she wondered how will he react when Kawaki gives him the vase.
