Sitting at the chair, Y/n gazed out of the window as she watched stars. They looked nice under the night, but Y/n didn't really want to sleep. It was late but she just couldn't no matter how much she tried. When she first got here, Hinata accepted her after some convincing and Himawari seems to like her a lot.

It's not a surprise Himawari looks like her mother, they are related after all... "Can't sleep?" Turning her head to the right side, she could see Boruto who was now sitting on his bed, she didn't even hear him get up. Last time she saw, he was sleeping soundly. "Um, yeah." Y/n said then returned to gaze outside, she could see person walk by their house but there was after him no trace of movements.

Life just seemed boring now, she left just dumb. Her mother left her and she needed help... Well, maybe it was better if she didn't make any contacts with Boruto, then Sophie wouldn't have done anything. But she couldn't help it, she was just too attached to him. Boruto got up on his feet, he was now standing beside her and gazing into the starts. "It's nice, isn't it?" He asked. He must be talking about stars since he's looking at them... It truly was nice.

Y/n liked night more than day, it looked beautiful. "Yeah, it is." Y/n said, keeping her gaze on the window. The window was close to his bed, but Y/n didn't pay much attention to that. "Let's go back to sleep." Boruto said, and Y/n didn't complain much. It was very late after all, around midnight maybe even above. She watched Boruto lay down in the bed, and Y/n got up on her feet then laid beside him.

Her back was facing him as she gazed around the room, she didn't know he had a PC but it isn't much of a surprise, since he has a nintendo switch as well... She could see pictures on his desk of when he was young, his father mother and sister... Y/n wished she had a relationship like that, but it was impossible now that she's kicked out by her mother.

And, what about Sophie? She isn't completely gone, she's still there lurking and there's no doubt she will strike at Y/n any day now. It can happen out of nowhere if she's alone, who knows.

Closing her eyes, she started to fall asleep realizing how tired she is.

...

When she opened her eyes, she spun around but Boruto wasn't beside her anymore. He must've got up before she did by the look of it. She took the opportunity to get dressed in her clothes, since she was in her pajamas. It's not like he'd burst into the room while she dressed halfway through, that only happens in movies... It's rare that it actually, really happens.

When she got dressed, she put her pajamas away but something caught her attention. She noticed one of Boruto's jacket was on his bed, she didn't notice it. He has more than one jacket like that, they're all the same color... walking over to it, she held it in her hands.

She really liked the color of his jacket, it looked nice and the dark pink matched black color. He wouldn't mind if Y/n tried it out, right? I mean, it doesn't look like he's coming up. And, she will just try it out for a second, if anything happens he has tons more jackets like these in his closet.

Looking at the door, she didn't spot any movements or noises or footsteps. It will be risky, but she'll just try it for few seconds. Looking back at the jacket, she took a deep breath then she put it on. It was a little long for her, the jacket sleeves covered almost her hands but they were still somewhat visible. Looking herself at the mirror, the jacket looked good on her.

She even looked more beautiful, but still she saw herself ugly even with the jacket on. It matched Boruto pretty well tho. Suddenly the door opened and she jumped with shock, she didn't even hear footsteps! That isn't possible, how didn't she hear them? Y/n you're the worst ninja ever...

"Hey N/n you should go down to..." Boruto stopped in his tracks, his usually cheerful face changed quickly to a little surprised one, his cheeks blushed a little. "Eat..." He finished his sentence, still looking at her.

His gaze trailed from her eyes to his jacket that she was wearing, and Y/n felt like an idiot, she was too focused on mirror and her thoughts so she didn't hear footsteps... Taking off the jacket as quickly as she can, she threw it at him and Boruto was quick to catch. "I-It's not what it looks like!" Y/n stuttered, but it was actually exactly what it looks like...

It will be hard to be a ninja when her attention trails away just like that, she can't stay focused easily tho. "Oh... What was that then?" Boruto asked, as he grinned. Y/n couldn't really find any excuse besides admit that she wanted to try it on, it was no use trying to find a excuse... She's busted already. "I... I um just wanted to try it on for a second..." Y/n said, looking down at her feet with shame.

"Mhm... And why?" Boruto asked, still smiling. Y/n wasn't sure why he was asking it but she replied his question either way. "Well... I think the jacket looks cool..." Y/n said, shrugging. She was blushing a lot at this point, was it because of embarrassment? Y/n doubted it, she wasn't herself sure why.

"Heh, I see. Anyway, let's go downstairs." Boruto said, as he put his jacket in his closet with the other same endless jackets... Y/n didn't get why everyone wore same clothes, but she didn't question much. "Alright." Y/n agreed, and with that they started walking downstairs.

"It took you long enough, Boruto. What were you two doing?" Hinata asked, she was washing the dishes. Y/n blushed but Boruto didn't much, he was quick to answer. "Nothing, we sort of talked so we forgot for a second." Boruto said, he sat in the opposite of Himawari and the little girl smiled. "Hi oniichan!" She called and Boruto smiled back. "Hey Hima!"

Y/n didn't pay much attention to them, she sat beside Boruto. She didn't feel like she belonged here, she just felt guilty for being here. She should be out in the streets now struggling, Y/n just felt bad they had to deal with her and be around her. "You're N/n right?" Himawari asked and Y/n smiled then shook her head.

Boruto called her by her nickname when they were around Himawari at that time, so she probably thought that was her real name. "I'm Y/n, N/n is a nickname." Y/n answered her question. "Your nickname is pretty! Does big bro always call you by your nickname?" Himawari asked, she seemed very curious to know. Boruto has been quiet, but Y/n didn't pay much attention to him, her attention was mostly focused on Himawari.

"Not when he's serious." Y/n replied, smiling. It was true that when he's serious, he calls her by her real name instead of her nickname. Y/n could relate, who would call their friends by a nickname in a dangerous and serious situation? Boruto had a point.

"Wow! And do you have a nickname for Boruto?" Himawari asked and Y/n looked at Boruto, hesitant and she smiled uncomfortably. All nickname she ever gave him was foxface... She didn't really have a nice nickname for him, maybe she should give him one but she couldn't really think of any... What's a good nickname that would suit him besides Burrito? Hmm..

It was hard to decide, Y/n should think about it. "She rarely calls me by nickname, and when she does it's foxface." Boruto replied, not meeting their gazes. She could hear Hinata laugh, and Himawari joined her. "That's amazing! Do you mind if I call you... N/n?" Himawari asked, she gave her a different nickname than Boruto, but she liked the nickname Himawari gave her, it's cute.

"Of course." Y/n said, grinning. She liked Himawari, she was a nice and positive kid. They might be friends, she wasn't anywhere near her age but she was still fun to talk to.
