It was June 14th, 1991. Today is my and Amelia's 17th birthday. Christian and I had been in the hotel room that was given to him while we did Newsies. My parents, Natasha, and Amelia were in the room across the hall from us and David was in the room next to Christian and me. I had woken up due to the sun coming through the blinds. I was the first one up considering it was 6:30 am. Then, I heard babbling. Josephine must be up too. I got up and walked over to her little playpen that also works as a crib.
"Good morning, ladybug," I said as I picked up my daughter and carried her back to the bed.
Josephine just babbled and smiled at me. Then, she reached out for Christian.
"Your daddy is asleep, Jo, but I'll wake him up for you," I said.
Josephine kept smiling and babbling.
"Chris, wake up," I said. "Not now, darling. We're about to meet the Queen and Freddie Mercury on Mars," Christian mumbled. "Christian, your daughter wants you, and she has a dirty diaper. Please get up," I said as I covered my nose. "Alright. I'm up," Christian said with a yawn. "Good morning. Take our daughter," I said while handing him Josephine. "Happy birthday and good morn-woah! That is definitely a dirty nappy," Christian said. "Thanks. Go change her please," I said as I gaged at the smell. "Will do," Christian said as he took Josephine to the bathroom to change her.
A few minutes later, Christian walked out of the bathroom with Josephine and sat on the bed.
"Happy birthday, Abbs," Christian said before kissing me. "Thank you, Chris. Do you think you can give Jo her bottle and get her dressed? I need to shower and get ready," I said with a smile while getting up. "Of course, darling," he said.
I took the outfit that I planned on wearing today with me to the bathroom. I quickly showered, dried my hair, did a simple makeup look, and got dressed. Then, I fixed my hair. I decided to braid two small sections of my hair and pull it into a half up half down hairstyle. Once I finished fixing my hair, I walked out to find Christian reading to Josephine while she finished her bottle.
