AN; So let me tell you guys about this little nightmare that I had this morning, which lead to me not being able to go back to sleep, which led to this chapter being written.  At least LET'S HOPE THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE.

I was lying in bed, while my white noise hummed away when I heard a faint scratching sound and felt a presence in the room. After pinpointing the noise I determined it was under my bed. Then the scratching noises stop, and then I heard the faint creak of the floorboard and rustling of my sheets as something crawled out beneath my bed. I had my eyes closed and I was too scared to open them. Then I felt a weight on the edge of my mattress, while whatever it was stood up. It leaned over me and whispered "Sorry." And I screamed and woke myself up.

So I love the stories my brain makes up, but I would love to pass on some of the more interactive ones. Especially if they are in the genre horror. Anyways, enjoy!

Also, thanks for meeting the vote hostage situation. And giving me 253 votes and 1,442 reads. Also #10 in shifter! Wow, we finally breaking into some of those upper numbers in the hashtags! My new goal is to get to at least 5,000 reads and 500 votes before this story concludes!:)

I quickly changed into the sweatshirt and jeans Grayson had given me while being mindful of the camera I couldn't see, but now knew was pointed differently at me. I passed the rest of the day attempting to bury myself in my homework, while I tied to keep what Liam and Grayson had told me off my mind. But no amount of statics problems could keep certain thoughts from swirling inside my brain.

I guess Liam had been telling the truth that no one knew I was alive except him. So did that mean that story, that unbelievable story was true? If so, what had happened to me after I had been dropped into that dark hole where He lived? Liam wanted me to remember the memories that had been taken from me, but the question was did I want to remember them? Did I want to remember my dad killing my mom and sacrificing me to a dark god?

Oh, that's right, I'm the daughter of the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack. And he had tried to kill me...and would try again if he knew I lived.

And what was Liam going to say before he disappeared? I didn't know what he was found to say. But I felt that in my heart it wasn't good.

My thoughts also wandered to my friends.

Beatrice's mother at least cared about her, so much that she had attacked her when Beatrice had refused to leave with her. I hopped Benedick and Caesar didn't have someone that cared about them that much, or least cared about them in a way that was different from Beatrice.

Perhaps it was 8  o'clock at night, perhaps it was 2 o'clock in the morning, but without even realizing it, I must have fallen, asleep, because I was suddenly standing in the doorway to Grayson's room, witnessing a very similar scene to the one I had witnessed a couple of nights before. And just like the first time I witnessed it, it also filled me with horror.

Alpha Luka brought the whip down across Grayson's bloodied back with a loud crack, while Grayson laid on the bed, his back bare. With every blow, an angry red scar would appear across Grayson's already scar-riddled back, and some of those scars ripped open and began to bleed.

Luka shouted at him, as he repeatedly brought down the black whip, over, over again. "How dare demand that you go visit Black Lake, without consulting me first in front of the other Alphas!" he snarled, sweat had startled to pool on his forehead and it ran down his chin onto the bedsheet, and he was breathing very heavily.

Alpha Luka was a man in shape, so by the looks of him it meant either he had been whipping Grayson for quite some time, or he was whipping him so hard, it was exerting all his energy. Either option made me feel intense anger.

"I commanded you to come home for a reason, not for you to undermine me with a trip to another Alpha's land! And it had to be him...Alpha Christopher! That smug bartered!"

"Alpha...I'm sorry!" Grayson gasped, his voice racked with pain and fear.

"Grayson!" I cried.

Grayson's head jerked up and his eyes locked with mine. We reached his hand towards me, and I knew what needed to be done.

The Alpha stopped and his eyes traveled along Grayson's line of sight until they found me. I didn't bother worrying about that though, while I raced across the room and clasped his hand in mine.

"Who are you looking at!?" Alpha Luka growled, while the room dissolved around us.

I was back inside the glass cell again, but this time a glowing, once again shirtless; Grayson had joined me at the edge of the mattress. His back was no longer bleeding while he sat in front of me, and for that I was grateful. I hoped it meant he wasn't feeling the pain of those whips right now.

"What was that!? Why was he hurting you like that again?" I demanded while I sat upon the mattress.  My homework lagged crinkled on the bed beneath me.

"I told you he's angry about my trip to Black Lake," Grayson grabbed my hands, "just close your eyes, and let's escape for a little bit."

"Okay." I let my eyes drift closed. The urgency in his voice scared me.

We were back in the middle of a dimly lit white hallway with white and black checkered floors.

Grayson began to pace back and forth in the hallway. Then he stopped in front of his door and began slamming his fist against it over and over again.

"Grayson what are you doing!?" he looked over his shoulder at me and I never saw such sad eyes. His brown eyes had turned into two puddles of despair.

"Please don't make me leave for Black Lake, Aurelia. For the first time in my life, I don't want to leave Pine Ridge."

I opened my mouth.

"No wait don't say anything, I know what you're going to say. And it's perfectly reasonable, it just hurts. Just give me a moment. I'm trying to think of a place I want to take you."

He turned from me and press his head on the door and I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his torso and rest my cheek in the middle of his back.

The soothing smell of pine trees and winter filled my senses.

"I don't want you to leave either. But those reasonable things I can't say, yeah they really are too reasonable."

Grayson turned around and cupped my cheeks in his hands. His eyes searched my face.

"I think I know where I want to take you, follow me," he said.

He grabbed my hand and cracked open his red door.
