AN; Hey my OG readers! If you are seeing this then yes, this is an event that happened before the beginning of the story. I hope this doesn't confuse too many people but I just want to add some more piazza to the story. You know some spice to that bland rice. Okay, I'm just going to be quiet now. Thanks for reading! -Sam

"Hellen!" my mate roared. He threw his body against the door and the wooden frame shook violently. I flinched and pressed my back against the cold white walls that comprised our bathroom. In my arms, Everlee whimpered.

She tilted her small face up to me, her brown eyes full of despair." Is daddy mad at me? I'm sorry that I didn't change into a wolf! I tried my best!" she began to cry again.

I held back my own tears while I hushed her and pulled her closer to my chest. "No, no! It's okay baby. It's not your fault. I'm going to protect you, no what comes for you.

The door flew up and there stood my mate, his yellow eyes glowed with anger in the dark hallway. He still wore his suit and tie from Everlee's moon coronation.

I shoved Everlee under the sink and jumped to my feet. I was thankful I had chosen my gray silk dress instead of the tight blue satin gown I had been debating. It made it easier to move.

I opened my arms wide to my mate. "Please my love she's my little girl. You can't take her away from me."

The look of pure rage did not waver on his face. "You know the rules, Hellen! She belongs to him!"

"No!" I screamed and threw myself at my mate only to be knocked to the side.

For a minute I was weightless, then my head slammed hard into the sink and I crumbled to the ground. My vision went black. In my ears, Everlee and my mate both screamed in unison.

"Hellen! I didn't mean to..!" His voice sounded like it was so far above me. Like I was stuck at the bottom of a well and he was speaking to me from the top.

Coldest began to set in around me.

"Mommy!" Everlee wailed from the top of that well.

"Everlee run..." I whispered and I was no more.
