Scarlett's POV.

"So you're going to his place?" Kelly asked. When I told them about me got paired up with Jackson for project.Kelly told me that Hannah has a crush on Jackson. She keep teasing her with his name and I couldn't help but laugh.

I kept the phone on speaker, while I was getting ready. I wore a simple black t- shirt and blue jeans and left my hair down.

"Yes." I replied putting on some lip gloss.

"Hannah would you like to come with me? " I asked to tease her.

"Oh come on Rose! Not you too! " Hannah was so embarrassed.

"Aww.. Someone might be blushing right now. " Kelly teased her more.

"Oh yes! " I chuckled.

"Hey Kelly, Shut up! " Hannah said

"I got the reference" I laughed.

"Oh really! If Dylan himself said that,I would have shut up!" Kelly said.
I can imagine her rolling her eyes.

"Okay guys! I need to leave now! I'll catch up with you later. " I interrupted between their Banter.

I took my bag and went downstairs. I checked the door twice after locking it.

I pulled out of the driveway and hit the road. I already added his address on car's Gps. It was 20-25 minutes drive.

I pull into his driveway.I took my bag and got off the car.His house is quite big.I rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer.

"Jackson! open the door.I am busy in kitchen." I heard a lady yelled from other side of the door.

Jackson opened the door.
"Oh hey!" He greeted.

"Hey" I replied.

"Come in!"

His house is huge. There's a drawing room in left and glassed wall partitioning a room.

"Jackson? who is it? " A lady in apron approach to us. " Oh! you didn't told me you're bringing a friend at home. " She eyed him and smiled at me.

"Scarlett, it's my mom. And mom she is scarlett.She is here for a project." He introduced.

"Nice to meet you Mrs.Davis."I brought my hand forward for handshake. She shook my hand and smile.

"Let me know if you guys need anything."
She smiled and I nodded.

"Mom,we'll be studying in study room. Can you please get us some snacks? ." He made a puppy face.She smiled and nodded. She smiled to me and left to kitchen.

We entered in the room on the other side of glass wall, it was the study room.The sunlights entering from the windows were making it look all bright remaining two walls have book shelves.

"My Dad is a physics professor at university." He said looking around.

"Oh I see." I said looking around.

He walked towards the bookshelf on our right side and looked for book and after few minutes he came with a book like really big book.

"First let's have a seat." He said gesturing towards the desk. He went to the other side of it.

"See we can get this topic from here. " He turned few pages and more.

"Look I—don't know much about it. " I shrugged.

"I thought you were an encyclopedia." He gasped and put his hands on his chest.

I rolled my eyes.He smirked.

"Wait! why did you told me that you know nothing? I mean if this is the nothing you were talking about—" I said gesturing my surrounding.

He chuckled and shook his head. "You know, I don't want people to think I am a nerd who use to answer each and every question asked by teacher. My intelligence rest with me." He said proudly.

"Oh god!Hiding intelligence is still a thing?" I shook my head in disbelief.

He shrugged."Now can we get back to work?"

"So we have to make presentation as well. We'll divide the work but first you gotta teach me Radiation. " I said

"Yeah! Daddy gonna teach you." He smirked and spin the pen. I couldn't help but rolled my eyes. How Hannah even like this assbutt?

Okay, it's been hours since we are working on this project. I myself fucking feels like a scientist or something.
These things rarely gets into my head and now my mind can't take more. I need a break.

"I need a break. My head's gonna explode." I let my head down on desk.

"Yeah, I think we should." He stretched his arms and got up."come on. Let's go to backyard."

"Okay" I got up.

"So,how do you got here? I mean this town. " He asked sitting on steps, I sat down as well.

"Umm..Mom got transferred here." I said playing with my fingers. He nodded.

"Your mom is amazing. " I said changing the topic.

"Yeah. I am sure she might be thinking that you're my girlfriend." He chuckled.

"Seriously?" My eyes widen. He chuckled and nodded.

We sat there in silence. The sun was almost down. His phone rang, he got up and went other way to talk. I checked time on my phone.

How could I forgot about it. He'll be home soon. I don't even know what to wear. I ran my hands through my hair.

Jackson was on call with someone walking back and forth, tensed.

"Hey everything okay? " I asked.

"Yeah" He rubbed his temple."I gotta go. Umm, can we continue it later?"

"Jackson" I said. " Sure everything okay?"

"Y-Yeah." He walked inside.

I don't know the way he is worried, my instinct says it's about Ethan. I couldn't help but asked.

"Is it Ethan?"

"Yeah." He paused for a second."He—met with an accident."

"Oh my god! Where is he? Is he alright? Who called you now? "

" It was a call from Hospital. Sorry, I gotta go now." He started walking.

"Wait! I am coming too" I can't sit back and wait.

"No! What?why? " He turned around.

"Let me come with you Jackson."

He looked at me for some seconds.

"Okay fine let's go." He sighed.
