He furrows his brows hearing muffled music through the walls. Groaning he grabs a pillow and plops it on his head. JJ accidentally went to sleep late last night. Unfortunately the envelopes he saw the day before were gone and probably thrown away. He couldn't call Pope or John B since they were sleeping. So he had to consult to himself for once. He doesn't know how long that paper is over due and he's not sure if they can pay it off before the extended due date. Mary isn't working any more and Luke's job only pays nine dollars an hour.

It's a good amount but the money for her chemo treatments plus other bills, food and the over due rent. The money can only to so many thing until they're bound to lose something. Thinking about their situation gives him a migraine. Taking the pillow off of his head JJ sits up and runs his fingers through his hair making it more messier than before.

He feels the vibration of the music under his feet while he stands up. One thing about Mary is she will let everyone know she's awake. He goes over to his door, opening it. He's greeted by the blonde dancing and cleaning off the table. She's swaying back and forth to the rhythm of the music. She's facing his opposite direction not paying him any mind.

The corner of his lips turn up as a small grin appears. JJ admires the days where his mother is joyful and care free. Cleaning is a therapy she loves to do once a week. It makes her feel more in control when things in her life are completely out of it.

"You're in a good mood." He said loud enough for her to hear.

Mary turns, "Well look who it is, thought you would've let two more hours pass by before coming out of your chamber." She sets down the small faux plant back where it belonged.

"I would've, but your music isn't the quietest." He ambled over to the kitchen.

"I don't complain about your music causing a potential sonic boom, no need to complain about mine."

He chucked, "My apologies."

JJ goes to grab a box of cereal.

"Oh no, put that back."

"Why?"

"We're going out for lunch, that's why."

"With what car?"

She points to the keys on the coffee table while fluffing the pillows, "Your father's, I dropped him off today, so we could spend the day together."

Mary loves doing things with JJ. And in her favor, he loves it too. Every since he was little all he wanted to do was just hang out with his parents. Of course Mary couldn't pass that up especially when he was getting older.

"And if you like John B and Pope can come along too, couldn't forget my favorite boys." She insisted, grabbing the all purpose cleaner.

"What about me?"

She gives him a look, "You're my automatic favorite, now get ready." She leaves out the room.

"Okay, but I'm driving."

She wipes the excess dust and led off the paper admiring what she created. The grey shadows and black lines come together making a forest. A forest that she took three weeks to complete. The trees stand tall while the moon looks upon them. The long path covered with leaves and dirt leading down to an unknown hope of possible needs. It's way of captivating the mind into thinking about her worse insecurity draws her to this type of art. She feels for them most days when her own self loathing gets in the way.
