The party didn't end as everyone had hoped so now red and blue lights flickered brighter than the fireworks that barely twinkled in the sky. JJ sat behind the bars of a cold isolated cell with only himself and John B sitting across from him with his head in his hands. Topper and the other guy went in another. They separated the boys so they wouldn't cause any more problems. A couple groans of agony was all that could be heard from John B. JJ looked out at the bars sighing in distress. How could everything go wrong so quickly?

Kiara drove in silence as music whirred through the car. She took Sarah home after the party. She mentally contemplates on if getting JJ out would be a good idea. It's something she's almost set on, but what does that mean for them? What if he still hates her? What if they go back to how it was for three weeks? It may sound foolish but she actually misses their banter and ironically pleasing meetups. Some say a friendship she believes a positive toleration. It's what she likes, it's what they've done for years but somehow she looks forward to indulging in whatever comeback he has cooked up for her.

For years it's been stupid childplay and kid fights because that's what they were. It was the constant that never changed even in high school. They bullied each other, glared till their eyes fell out and spoke poorly about one another but it was constant and she liked it. When they started to become friends that banter never really changed, just the feelings that came with it. He was less insufferable, so saving him wouldn't be the total failure of her night.

JJ found himself dozing off into a small nap. John B passed out ten minutes before he did, by the toilet. His eyes were no longer carrying themselves, falling shut. He has to calm his nerves and sore eye socket in some way. The last thing he wanted to do was to upset Luke and Mary. In his defense, he didn't necessarily hit anyone. He would've but the cops came before he even got the chance.

Just as he's feeling a smattering of relaxation, loud clings of the bars causes him to flinch. JJ raised his head seeing Sheriff Peterkin.

"Don't be so spooked, tonight's your lucky night." She took out the keys, unlocking the lock.

She opened the cell door waiting on the other side. JJ looked puzzled but didn't dare to question anything. He got up and went over to the deeply intoxicated brunette. He tapped his cheek a couple times and shook his shoulders in hope of him waking up. Luckily he did. He drapes John B's arm over his neck as he holds his waist. They took small steps not wanting to take a tumble with normal ones.

She closed the cell.

Letting his curiosity get the best of him, he decided to ask, "So we're free?"

Going behind the counter she replied, "Mhm, it was an anonymous tip."

Anonymous tip? From who? Pope couldn't have gotten money that quickly, but if did then why anonymously? JJ brushed the matter to the side. Peterkin hands them their belongings in a ziplock.

"Make sure you get your lil friend home safe and next time, stay outta trouble."

"Of course."

He walked them out of the station. The small breeze grazed their skin as he took them to a bench. John B sat down but soonly laid in a fetal position. JJ went through the ziplock bag grabbing his phone.

"Shit," he uttered, seeing three missed calls from Mary and Luke.

He quickly swiped through getting a hold of Pope. Putting the phone to his ear, it started to ring.
