Birds sing heavenly as they fly through the broken island. Fallen trees and debris fill the fields of homes that were sheltered. Even though the storm wasn't as bad as it was in previous years, it didn't fail to falter any chance it got.
Luckily, it can be an easy pick up for some and well others, not so much. However, the sun shined it's very brightest after every storm. It was the only thing to look forward to if you're an optimist.
The light spewed through the sheer white curtains making it look almost as if it was golden hour. Kiara is snuggled up on the couch comfortably with a blonde right on the other side of her. Her head rested on the pillow while his on the other. The blanket covered half their bodies. Both fast asleep hearing nothing but their light snores.
JJ stirred, blinking slowly so his vision could find itself. He looked around, seeing he's still there. He doesn't move for a moment, instead he just lays there undisturbed. Saying they had a great time would be too generous for him to even admit, but mediocrity is where he would have middle ground. It wasn't like she took his mind off every stress level possible, because she didn't. At least that's what he wants to believe.
He sat himself up gently not wanting to wake the brunette. Moving his legs slowly over on the floor, JJ reached forward to the table and grabbed his phone.
It's seven in the morning. No missed calls. No missed messages. Perfect.
He looked over at Kiara seeing her still in a coma. She's even drooling a little. How cute.
Taking his eyes off her, he began to lift himself off the couch. He took small steps towards the laundry room where his clothes were. Scanning the room he saw them neatly folded on the counter with the rest of her clean clothes. He quickly grabbed them and left the room.
Heading towards the stairs he takes a glance at Kie seeing she's still on the couch. After that, he made his way up.

Faint unknown noises filled her ears gradually. Kiara fluttered open her eyes seeing her table cluttered with snacks they had eaten. She groaned softly, stretching out as much as she could. Stopping, she looked down seeing that JJ isn't there. He left. About time he was gone.
She propped her elbow up on the pillow still trying to get a hold of her consciousness. Kiara hears another sound however it's coming from the kitchen. She narrowed her brows in confusion, turning her head in that direction to see who's there. She got up from her spot. Thankfully, it's JJ.
Kiara leaned against the fridge the exact moment he closed it. She noticed he got startled in the process, putting an even bigger smile on her face.
"Stealing from the person who gave you shelter, I see. Hasn't your mother taught you anything?"
"Technically it isn't stealing if it was mine to begin with."
He went over to the counter setting down his groceries.
"Do you have any bags I could use?"
She motioned her head to the bottom cabinet on his left, "Right there beside you, since you're just gonna steal my stuff and all."
He leaned down, opening it, "It's not yours."
"Not anymore it isn't, but it's cool, I have others."
