Part 6 : get out of my house

Severide couldn't comprehend what was happening, and its like he just couldn't hear things properly.

"Like previously said mister" and the lawyer gave a look on the paper he had in his hands "mister Kelly Severide, we are here to take the child Sky and take her back to her biological mother"

"This is some bullshit, you're not taking my daughter to go nowhere"

"There's a court order, if you don't cooperate i am afraid we'll have to call the police"

"Then go ahead and call them because i will not move, let alone let you take my daughter" he said fed up.

He closed the door on them, he was really scared and all he could think about was how could have Stella done this to him. He was in disbelief, he went to Sky's room and laid next to her while stroking her hair.

After a little while, Severide heard another knock on his door. And he knew he was in for the worst moment of his life, so he got up and opened his door. He found two police officers alongside the lawyer and someone from child protective services.

"Are you ready to cooperate mister severide?" The lawyer asked in a superior way.

"I am not, and I wouldn't cooperate but it's all for my little girl's well being. All i am going to ask is for you to take care of her please, she is not used to being away from me" he said with his heart heavy.

"Whatever, where is the kid?" The lawyer asked.

And so Kelly went and got her for them. He didn't want to, but he also didn't want to make a scene and traumatize his little girl. So he woke her up gently, and talked to her.

"So it's something a bit weird, but we're going to be separated for a little while" he started saying.

"Why separated?" She had trouble saying the word separated.

"Because you're going to go live with someone special, that you'll soon find out who it is. But you have to go with these people now"

"I don't want to leave you dad please" she started crying.

"It's okay we will be with each other again soon, but please don't cry or else you'll make daddy cry" he said himself trying to hold back his tears.

"Don't cry, i'll go"

And so he asked to quickly grabbed stuff that belonged to Sky so that she could leave with it. They waited a little bit for him to gather the little girl's things and then they left with the child. Kelly was mad, and sad he just wasn't understanding. Just when everything was going so well, him and Stella were about to give whatever they felt towards each other a chance all fell to the ground. Kelly watched Sky being taken away from him, he then closed the door and let himself fall to the ground.

Meanwhile Stella was in her car, at her usual spot. It was finally late enough for her to be there, she was tired of sleeping in her car but she didn't have enough money yet to find a place and she refused to tell anyone about this nor take her parents' money. Sky was heavy on her mind, so she had trouble falling asleep but she ended up falling asleep anyways.

The next morning, Jennifer found Kelly still laying on the floor in front of the door. Jennifer would take sleeping pills occasionally when she needed a good night sleep, so she wasn't aware of what had happened last night.

"Kelly"

He moved a bit and looked at his mom.

"Um" he couldn't say anything else.

"Where's Sky and why are you on the floor like this" she asked as she helped him up.

"They took her away from me mom, Stella took her"
