Part 25 : Why

It was in a way a relief that the pregnancy test was negative. She felt a weight lifted off of her shoulders, and so she jumped on Kelly.

"Make love to me again" she said flirty.

"Yeah, so that i can really get you pregnant this time?" He smirked.

"Yes, please" she laughed.

They started kissing and went at it again. They ended falling asleep shortly after, and when Stella woke up. She found Kelly in the kitchen, he was cooking a little something.

"What you cooking there?" She asked as she sat down.

"You'll see, did you sleep well?" He asked happy to see her finally up.

"Like a baby" but she was thoughtful "I don't know if i want to go back again on shift, i missed my girls too much while on shift"

"You could always tell Chief that you'd be here in case he needs, like a fill in"

"I think i'd like that better, I don't know but i can't stay away from the girls"

"Then it's done"

"I'll just go next time because that's what Chief and i had decided already but I'll definitely tell him then" she explained.

"That sounds good to me, now let's eat because it's ready"

He made a beautiful plate for her and they ate. The evening was beautiful, they were back together. They couldn't be happier, after that he made sure to clean things up and leave the kitchen spotless. Stella went and hugged him from the back.

"Hey?" She said waiting for him to turn around.

"Yes" he turned and wiped his hands dry. "What is it" he smiled.

"I want you to come live with us, i can't have you far away from me."

"Okay i'll go for my things tomorrow"

"Thats more like it, give me a kiss" she said a she extended her lips towards him.

They had decided to go for the girls while going to get Kelly's things in the morning. He wouldn't be giving up the apartment just yet since his lease was for a year. So at night they went to sleep, happy that this whole thing was finally behind them.

The next morning, Stela woke up tired yet before Kelly. She made breakfast which they ate really fast, and then they went to get the girls.

"Hey Kelly" Melina said a bit surprised.

"How are you doing Melina" he offered her a smile.

"I am good, and you"

"I am good too"

He left a kiss on Stella's lips and went to see the girls in the room. Aila was in her crib and Sky was playing a bit, meanwhile Stella stayed with her mom who already had a smile on her face.

"I guess you guys are back together, i'm really happy for you" she said delighted.

"Yes, yes we are. And i swear i feel like everything is just a bad memory now"

"I truly hope, so how was yesterday on shift. Are you going to go more?" She asked curious.

"No, i mean normally i have next shift so i'll go then but i want to stay with the girls. Until i really feel like going back you know" she said then was thoughtful "you know i got scared"

"Why?" Her mom wasn't understanding.

"I thought i was pregnant, and quite frankly I don't know if i can go through another pregnancy. Especially because i wouldn't know if it is Kelly's or Manuel's but also this far along? I would have found out already"
