You roam these streets
like a king overseeing his subjects.
Crowds part for you.
Rules are changed
-even overlooked-
the second something
is not to your liking.
They know better
than to get in your way.
The power you hold
in your words
and your hands
could tear this town
to dust.
For it was you, my love,
who sent the army
as soon as this world
tried to lock me in the dark.
It was you who fought
to bring me back.
It was you who stayed.
They could never understand
how you are as strong
as you act,
but I can.
I have seen the darkness.
I know what it takes
and I know what it gives.
