You are the first person that crosses my mind
as the sun peeks out over the horizon.
I think about every aspect of you-
how you could have me silent in a corner
or gasping as sweat pools on my skin
from a long night by your side.
Do you see my lips spilling secrets?
I swore I would never tell...
you don't need to remind me.
I'm not stupid.
We are one thing.
We will never be more.
We will never be less.
Look at me.
My eyes are clear.
I will never belong to you.
That has been decided,
but there is still a fire inside me
that you can never extinguish.
Let my flames roar and rage
over this town we claim,
over this place I despise.
I will not claim it.
Will you?
