Smaug grew increasingly furious and could barely control the fire that kept simmering within him. He hated dwarves and, above all, he had his eye on a certain dwarf king, Thorin. There, in Erebor, in full reclaim of the Lonely Mountain, the dragon wanted to kill all the dwarves; calcine them and leave them to ashes or, outright, devour them mercilessly, as he did with so many of them in the past. However, there was one of them whom he had special "affection" and whom he most persecuted to kill him. Thorin was the chosen one and he would not stop running as the rest of the company tried to distract the dragon and slow his progress so that he did not cause havoc or misfortune.
-Now Bilbo! -The dwarf king yelled, and the hobbit did not hesitate to leap for a lever. At that moment several rather large jets of water began to come out with great force and managed to weaken the fire that Smaug was about to release against Thorin.
The rest of the dwarves were busy, fearing for the life of their king. They kept trying to distract the dragon from its goal, each dwarf attending different things in different places. Thorin stared at the beast as did Bilbo, and Smaug grew more and more furious. It was then that Gloin decided to cut the ropes that held several metal containers filled with rocks, which fell on top of the reptile.
It was a matter of a few seconds that large channels began to fill with a golden liquid, and Thorin decided to take advantage of the moment to take a wheelbarrow and head towards one of the channels. Bilbo escaped, Gloin and Bifur fell from the top thanks to Smaug, as they were on two of those metal containers that were empty, disappearing into the air just before reaching the ground. Balin, Dwalin, Bombur, Ori, Dori and Nori were in other part of the place and, just when they tried to run to the other side, something strange happened, because all of a sudden the six disappeared without a trace.
Bilbo ran with all his strength to flee from Smaug and just when he saw that he could not escape from the beast, because the reptile had reached him, a large flag fell on the hobbit and, by magic, he also disappeared from Erebor.
Thorin, crossing one of the channels above the wheelbarrow, saw a fall and various chains dangling in front of him. Before falling, he decided to grab onto one of them and, to his surprise, as he swayed, he slipped and began to fall... Heading to an unexpected place. He didn't hit the ground.
Fili, Kili and Oin, meanwhile, were being attacked by a pack of orcs in Laketown, waiting for Bofur to return with the Kingsfoil that Bard and Oin spoke of to heal Kili's wound. However, the dwarf didn't come yet and the orcs didn't stop threatening them. They didn't accomplish much as they tried to confront them along with Bain, Sigrid, and Tilda.
Then, two elves suddenly appeared in the house: Legolas and Tauriel, who helped them face the orcs.
Fili looked around and, at the optimal moment, nervously decided to rush to Kili to get him out of bed and carry him away with the help of Oin. Bofur was taking a long time to come back and they didn't have time. They decided to flee while the elves kept the orcs busy and exited from the rear. The three, while running, took a misstep and fell... They fell to a place of everything but known.
Bofur was running as fast as he could with the Kingsfoil in hand towards the house and, to his bad luck, an orc found him. The orc caught him and threw him towards the wall of a house. The poor dwarf fell sitting on a bench and, staggering, the bench gave to one side and then, he fell... And he appeared in a whole new world. He fell flat on the ground and when he got up, Bofur saw that he was in a place he had never seen before. A fairly crowded little city where careless people passed with their bikes next to the dwarf. They almost ran him over, because he came out of nowhere.
-Where I am? What is this place? -He said looking at everything with confusion.
Fili, Kili and Oin fell at the same time on a beach full of people resting and sunbathing, something that didn't last long, as people pulled away because, suddenly, three little men came out of nowhere. The three of them were filled with sand up to their eyebrows and felt very hot, the sun was scorching them at times. Kili complained again about the pain from the wound he had on his leg when he hit the burning sand, and both Fili and Oin carried him to the outskirts of the beach, observing that they were in a completely new and unknown world.
