A little devil was putting the finishing touches on his first drawing, a very special drawing that he had colored with great dedication and enthusiasm, his little green eyes shining with joy. He brushed his short brown mane off his face to finish coloring and set the blue paint on the wooden table. He took the paper and clumsily got out of his chair to leave his bedroom and run with the drawing to the living room.
"Mommy, daddy!" he said as he clumsily ran down the hall due to his young age, and handed it to his father with a grin from ear to ear. "This is for you, I hope you like it."
Bofur had been distracted from his chores when he saw that his little snowball was excited, and when he took the drawing, his eyes smiled as much as his lips; that paper had a drawing of the three of them holding hands.
"Come, let's play!" said the little boy, taking him by the hand and pulling him to his bedroom again, and Bofur relented with a smile, leaving aside his work tools and the drawing for his dear wife so that she could also contemplate it.
The boy sat on the floor, took a box that he had on his shelf and took out his wooden toys, those that Bofur had made for him. He scattered them all over the ground and started putting one piece on top of another, trying to make a tower. Bofur sat right behind him and placed one of his hands on the child's tummy while with the other hand he was taking the wooden train and making it "move" in front of the child.
"Look how fast the train is going!" Bofur exclaimed happily, kissing him on the head, and the boy laughed with his characteristic childlike laugh. With a wooden horse he tried to imitate his father.
"I'm going to win!" the child said, leaning forward and crawling as he overtook the train Bofur was leading, laughing non-stop. However, his advantage was short-lived, because shortly after his little green eyes stopped seeing what was around him; his father's hat was on his head, and since it was very big, it covered his little eyes.
"What happened?" the child wondered as he sat back down on the floor.
Then Bofur carefully laid him down on the ground and, with his mouth, began to tickle the boy's tummy, making him laugh out loud nonstop.
"Daddy, daddy, stop!" he said without stopping laughing, rolling on the ground. His mother watched them from the door smiling, biting her lower lip as she shook her head and patted her seven-month-pregnant belly. Bofur caught him unawares in his arms while he played with him, not realizing that his wife was looking at them. Once he realized this, he went to her, took her by the waist and placed a soft and delicate kiss on her thin pink lips.
"Darling, the hot chocolate and the buns are already on the table, we can go for a snack," she said with a smile.
"Understood! Let's have a snack!" he exclaimed with energy as he headed to the kitchen with the child in his arms face down, causing him to laughing nonstop and leading his mother to laugh too.
The three of them began to eat the hot chocolate with a smile. Bofur dipped his finger lightly into his cup and smeared the tip of the nose of both his child and his wife, eliciting laughter from these two.
"Dad, don't stain my nose!" the child said laughing as he popped a piece of bun into his mouth, and it was his mother who wiped it off with a napkin.
Bofur couldn't stop laughing when he saw the two most important people in his life laughing at him.
"I love you so much, family," he said with a smile.
"And we love you, dad," the little boy replied, getting up from his chair and hugging his father's leg.
Later it was time to bath, and after undressing the boy, Bofur sat him in the bathtub and began to soap him while the boy bubbled with his mouth due to the foam that accumulated in his little mouth.
"This bubble here is huge!" exclaimed the boy as he tried to explode it, and when he succeeded, he saw another bubble land on the tip of his father's nose. Then, without hesitation, to exploit it, the child innocently hit Bofur on his nose and incidentally put foam on his face, causing Bofur to close his eyes with a frown, and then let a light laugh escape from his lips, hearing once again that his little boy laughed non-stop when he saw his father's reaction. Bofur at the second sneezed, and the boy then sneezed too, and then they both laughed again.
After finishing the shower and after having dinner, it was time to sleep. Both Bofur and his wife were finishing reading a story while the boy listened with his half-closed eyes, a yawn coming out of his little lips covered by the sheets. That yawn didn't go unnoticed by his parents, who closed the story shortly after. They both kissed him goodnight, turned off the lights and let the little devil rest.
