It was a day when the brown leaves fell from the trees with great grace and lightness. The wind blew slowly, a warm breeze caressing her cheeks. Luna walked on the streets of her small village, barefoot, jumping and dancing happily like a child, the skirt of her pale pink dress bouncing along with her blonde hair. It was afternoon and there was hardly anyone. She went to the small fountain where she used to go so many times to cool off and have a quiet time, right next to the field that was located a few minutes from her village. She would go there for a walk and, incidentally, pay a visit to someone very special. In autumn the landscape was beautiful, with those brown, yellow, reddish and orange hues that peered out in the forest next door.

Once she reached the field, she adjusted her straw hat on her head and went into the tall grasses, all covered with golden wheat. In the background was a tree and, a little further away and to the right, a red windmill that was moving its blades slowly next to two tractors. She was dancing and jumping around that field again without looking where she stepped, of course the joy filled her body. Suddenly, a curious rabbit peeked out, wiggling its ears as it watched the girl dance. And later, field mice appeared. Two crows settled on the scarecrows and squawked to the sound of the melody the young girl was beginning to sing.

She was heading straight for that tree. It had many brown and reddish colors. Once she arrived, with enthusiasm, she found a small man with pointed ears and hairy feet under the tree, smoking from his pipe while making rings with the smoke that he expelled, his back was turned to her, leaning on the trunk of the tree.
"Bilbo!" she shouted, surprising and interrupting the relaxed hobbit, who turned around to watch her.
"Luna! You have finally arrived, I've been waiting for you for a long time," said the hobbit as he took a drag on his pipe again.
"I'm sorry to be late, I was helping my brothers with some tasks but I finally arrived," she apologized, sitting on the floor next to him, in a hurry and with a smile.
"What did you want to tell me?" She asked.

Bilbo looked at the windmill and then turned his gaze towards her, seeing that she was carrying a book with a pen. That made him curious.
"Are you writing a book?" asked the hobbit.
"What?" she said, realizing that she almost dropped the book she was carrying in her bag.
"Oh yes! I'm working on it, if you want I can leave it to you a bit and so you can see the drawings I have made, and, of course, you can also read some paragraphs," she said handing it to him. "Sure," Bilbo said, taking the pipe with his mouth and putting interest in the pages of the book.
"I had no idea of the existence of this book, how you haven't told me after all these months?" asked the hobbit.

Luna brushed a strand of her blond hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear, somewhat embarrassed and blushed.
"Uhm... It was going to be a gift for you... But now that you've seen it... It's not necessary to hide it. It's an adventure story about dwarves, elves, wizards, dragons... And fantastic creatures..." she said. He widened his eyes.
"Really? And why would you give it to me?" he asked. She blushed slightly again.
"Well... It's a secret. - She said. - I see..." Bilbo said with a smile, looking back at the pages of her book and the cover, also in progress.
"Do you want to smoke a little, miss?" The hobbit offered her his pipe.
"Oh, thanks!" she said, and took a drag, but without being able to make any ring like the ones he did.

Suddenly, from among the trees of the forest, a large group of butterflies of different colors began to approach where they were, they seemed to migrate to other areas.
"Wow! That's so beautiful!" Exclaimed the young woman with illusion as she saw how they flew over the light blue sky and passed over that tree where they were both sitting. Bilbo was surprised to see them and remembered something, why they had gathered there.
"On purpose. Luna... I have a question..." Bilbo said positioning himself and sitting well, leaving the book on the ground. "Yes?" she asked returning to put interest in the hobbit's eyes.
"You know... We have been seeing each other for several months, not many, but enough to be able to tell you this," said the hobbit starting to get nervous.
"Tell me, don't leave me with the intrigue," she said.

Bilbo, then, took from his jacket a black and red box, not very large, and presented it to the young girl, somewhat embarrassed.
"I was very sure about my ideas and I told myself that I would never say or do this to anyone, but every time I pass time with you I feel the need to do it, every time my desire increases, and, in the end, I have decided to do this," said the hobbit. Then he took Luna's hand and placed the box on it.
"Open it," he said with a smile. The blond girl, with interest in her eyes, looked at the box and, in the end, decided to open it, coming across a large orange and black butterfly with little yellow dots on the black edges, slightly flapping its wings.
"It's beautiful Bilbo!" she said excitedly. Bilbo cleared his throat and cleared his voice.
"With this gift I wanted to confess one thing..." Bilbo said.

She looked at him again.
"What is it about?" she asked. After a few seconds, the hobbit agreed, preparing himself for something he didn't know was going to work out.
"Uhm... Well, here we go... We've been seeing each other for some months, as you already know, and I wanted to tell you with this butterfly if... If you would like to be my girlfriend, you know, my company, my... Couple. I told myself that I would always live alone, that I would not get married, that I would live my single life with fullness and tranquility, but when you arrived, little by little my plans were changing..." said the hobbit with a blush on his cheeks. The blond girl looked at the hobbit in surprise and, without warning, placed a quick kiss on his cheek, a shy kiss.
"So... Is that a yes?" asked the hobbit. She giggled lightly and, after a few seconds, leaned down slightly to kiss him again, this time on the lips.
"In case it is not clear yet," she said with a smile.

Bilbo blushed even more and this time it was he who decided to take the step and kiss the young woman, also in the lips, this time longer.
"Of course I want to. I've been feeling the same for a long time," she said. Bilbo laughed nervously too, and suddenly decided to get up and stretch.
"Would you like to take a walk in the golden fields? The day turned out very good. So we can conclude our first date as a couple," he said. She got up eagerly, putting her book on the bag again, and took the little hobbit's hand.
"Sure, I would really like to continue talking to you and passing a good time. Let's go!" she exclaimed. And they began to walk through those fields of golden wheat with laughs and tender smiles, sharing one of the countless moments that they would live from then on.
