Y/N had recently moved into her new apartment, alone, and was currently watching television. She wanted to be alone, away from bad company, and to be independent. She massaged the back of her neck and got up from the couch, turning off the television and heading to her bedroom to get her pajamas. She was going to take a bath to clean herself and relax. Y/N took off her clothes and, after preparing the soaps and oils and filling the bathtub with water, she stepped inside it, instantly relaxing and closing her eyes.
Meanwhile, a few floors above, there was someone who was also watching television, only with an ale in hand, from which he was gradually drinking. Thorin, tired-eyed and half sleepy, watched the news reluctantly. He too was lonely, bored and with nothing to do. His workday had ended a couple of hours ago and he would have to start making dinner shortly. A yawn escaped from his lips and he decided to turn off the television, get up, stretch, and head to the kitchen to make dinner. The next day he would have to pay a visit to her sister and his nephews, he hadn't seen them for two weeks due to work, and he was beginning to miss them.
Y/N had finished cleaning herself, and was about to get out of the bathtub to dry off and put on her oils. Once she had finished changing her clothes, she could see a rising black smoke behind the window. Y/N arched an eyebrow at that and decided to look out to see what was happening, seeing that nothing was happening on the street. Suddenly, screams from a neighbor began to be heard in her portal, and that alerted her, making her nervous. Y/N went straight to the front door and she saw ash-colored smoke spreading across the area.
"Fire! There is a fire!" the neighbor yelled as she ran down the stairs. Y/N opened her eyes when she heard that and was scared, not knowing how to react for a few seconds.
That cry didn't go unnoticed by Thorin, who, looking at the window as he stirred the vegetables with the meat in the pan, saw that there was a very dark smoke rising.
"Shit," he said scared, turning off the fire and going outside, smelling a very strong burning smell. He went inside the house and was quickly picking up the most important things to put them away and take them, because he still had time and the fire had not reached his floor, but, when he went out again and went down the stairs, he saw that the flames had already reached the third floor.
All the neighbors were running down the stairs, seeing that the fire was devouring everything, and, suddenly, a female cry cut the silence only interrupted by the noise of the fire, she was asking for help. Thorin watched as the ceiling collapsed and several fire-filled logs fell to the ground and helped the fire to spread, but Thorin came down the stairs, to where he had heard the scream.

Y/N had remained immobile, fear at times had taken over her being and didn't allow her to react. Everything was too fast and, even seeing the flames, her heart was shaking and she couldn't believe what was happening. In the end something in her head made her wake up from her daze and she decided to grab a few things before leaving, but, just as she was about to go through the door that led to the portal, the ground under her feet began to crack and collapse due to the advance of the fire, causing that, with the weight of her body together with the bad state of the floor, the woman began to fall down to the second floor.
The blow that she received all over her body was forceful, managing to break three ribs in the process. Y/N saw fire around her and the next thing that happened was somewhat undesirable, as the rest of the roof of her house that had yet to collapse fell precipitously on her wounded body. The young woman, eaten away by her fear, emitted a powerful cry just as those pieces of wood and stone fell on her.
Thorin heard her and, looking out to see what was happening. He saw a woman covered in rubble with threatening flames surrounding the place where she was.
