Chapter 17: Order of the Office

ARANYA

"Come on Ken. Put your gun down or I will shoot Ara right in her beautiful face. Now we don't want that right?"

After a gunshot, a loud alarm set off from the outside of the underground tunnel where Jiro took me that made Eliza smile from ear to ear while holding her gun and aiming it right on my face.

"Y-You..."

"Sorry sweetheart. You can't get out now. You have to attend a special meeting. But you know the good news is, you will be the main agenda! Ain't that right Ken?" Tanong nito bago itinutok naman ngayon ang baril kay Jiro na nakataas ang dalawang kamay.

"Why are you doing this El? Huh? Is this his plan?" Galit na tanong ni Jiro habang nagpipigil na sugurin ang babae dahil wala na kaming laban ngayon.

I don't really know what's going on but in this situation, I can understand that whatever it is, its bad. No, I think its worst.

"You know I can't tell you that honey. Its top secret. Just move your horses and let's go to the office shall we?"

"B-Boss..."

"Give me something good right now or I will shoot every single one of you."

I felt my knees weakening and I swallowed really hard as Coup and I went back in the building hurriedly after our encounter with the vice president.

We both know that we have nothing good to tell him. In fact, everything is now messed up. And what's really scaring me right now is the fact that we heard a gunshot to where Jiro and madam are. That only means someone caught them and I'm afraid they might kill her.

"M-Mr. President, I'm afraid we---"

He didn't let me finish and a loud bang echoed inside the building. Everyone in the gang started running away from him as he pulled the gun's trigger over and over again. He kept firing until the very last bullet of his revolver ricocheted and we just watched him.

He was devastated and in great disappointment. We all are. We never expected this day to come. We thought we were careful about it and yet here we are.

"This is all on me. If I didn't come to her, none of this would happen."

We are all silent. We have no words in mind to calm him down or comfort him. When he's mad, he's mad as hell and you will never want to do something wrong or he'll kill you with no mercy.

I was just standing still and staying silent when my phone started ringing that caught everyone's attention. I have no choice but to pick it up really fast and put it straight in my ear to hear the caller.

"Hello?"

["Cole, tell boss to come right now in the office! They took Ara for confrontation and they tied her up! Hurry! I don't know what the faculty plans on doing!"]

I looked at boss who did not even uttered any word and then just run immediately out of the building. He knows what was going on already and  we all do. And all I feel right now is fear. I never thought I will feel this again after a very long time.

"Mmph! Mmph!~"

Gusto kong sumigaw at murahin ang lahat ng nakatingin sa akin ngayon habang nakagapos ang mga kamay at paa ko sa isang upuan pero hindi ko magawa. Tinakpan nila ng panyo ang bibig ko para hindi ako sumigaw o kaya ay lumikha nang malakas na ingay.
