Chapter 30: Purge is an Exam

I can never be wrong. The only people I know who could possibly think of me as a snake are the girls who tried to kill me back in the zombie marathon and cornered me in the bathroom. They all badly want to kill me even before I became a student here because they think I flirted Seth. They could literally think of me as a snake.

"Hey, don't think about it too much."

Nandito ulit kami sa VIP room dahil sinabi ni Lucian na excused naman kami sa klase for thorough investigation (he makes himself sound like Sherlock Holmes even though he's more of a James Moriarty type). He said we just have to wait for him to find those girls.

I don't know their names but then the only clue Cal gave Lucian is that they were the ones in the punishment video that Seth sent in the whole students. Luckily, Lucian has records of all the students who got punished so he found them immediately and now he's on the way to get them.

"Sorry. Hindi lang kasi mawala ang takot na nararamdaman ko simula pa kagabi."

To be honest, nanginginig pa rin ako kapag naiisip ko ang nangyari. I dared to look at the box this morning at hindi matanggal sa utak ko ang itsura ng duguang ahas. It was like it was smashed to death and the killer enjoyed it.

"It's okay Ara. Everything's going to be alright." Pagpapakalma sa akin ni Ken habang hinahaplos ni Cal ang likod ko.

"We're here. Nothing will ever happen to you as long as you stick with us. Boss is on his way." Ani ni Thunder habang nakatayo sa harap namin at pinagmamasdan kaming tatlo na nakaupo sa couch.

We were all waiting for us to be summoned again in the office but its really taking so long. Or maybe I'm just the one thinking about it. I looked at the clock and its been only 10 minutes since we excused ourselves to come here in the VIP room. Atat na atat na talaga ako.

I thought it will take us forever but then Ken already said that we should go back to the office. Agad naman kaming lahat na umalis sa VIP room at bumalik sa opisina para makita kung nandoon na ba ang mga babae. And there they are sitting in the couch and being interrogated.

"Hindi kami ang naglagay ng box na tinutukoy niya! 'Wag kamo siyang mambintang!" Reklamo ng nangungunahan sa grupo nila habang gigil na gigil ang boses sa pagpapaliwanag.

"Paanong hindi kayo mapagbibintangan eh kayo itong may motibo!" Hindi na ako nakapagtimpi pa at sumingit na ako sa inis. Siya pa itong may karapatang magalit eh siya lang naman ang nanguna na pagtangkaan ang buhay ko. Sino pa bang pwedeng gumawa n'on kun'di siya!

Marahas itong lumingon sa akin at biglang tumayo habang galit na galit akong tinititigan, "Listen here you attention seeking bitch! I am not a type of person who will do so much effort just to scare you because you don't deserve my time at all! Yes I want to kill you but that's it! I don't need to send you creepy presents to do so!" Gigil na gigil pa niya akong dinuro habang nanginginig sa galit na sinisigawan ako.

On the other hand, Cal guided me to stand behind him so that he could shield me if ever the woman tries to attack. But I am not scared. Handa akong makipagsabunutan sa kanya ngayon din dahil gusto ko na talagang gumanti sa lahat ng ginawa niya sa akin.

"If I don't deserve your time then why the hell are you still after me? Nagpapatawa ka ba? Ang kapal mong sabihin na hindi ako karapat-dapat pagsayangan ng oras mo pero gigil na gigil kang patayin ako! Kung ganoon na lang ang galit mo sa akin edi malamang sa malamang, ikaw talaga ang magpapadala ng box!" I was trying to walk towards her pero may apat na kamay na pumipigil sa akin mula sa likod. I was eager to claw her stupid face but the boys are trying to stop me.
